//It's completely fine, and don't worry about the fancypost either! I totally wasn't expecting that to be Avalon's dare. It's definitely interesting though. Also, quick warning, but the scrolling is kind of messed up on this post for some reason sometimes?? I don't know, sometimes it's fine and sometimes it's not. I'm not sure why at all, but it might take a few tries for it to scroll down completely. Anyway, any edits I make will probably be me toying with the scrolling; not the actual ic part itself though
For a brief second, she felt the Slytherin girl brush against her before she stumbled back, and before she could even get an answer from the silver haired individual, Keira heard the noise of the door close shut in front of them, which happened to be rather loud in the quiet room. It was when laughter escaped Avalon's lips that Keira turned to the girl with her eyebrows furrowed in confusion. She stood completely still, just eyeing Avalon as she headed to the couch from where she was standing nearby the door for a few seconds. What the hell did she do to start acting like that? The pressure of the Slytherin taking a seat combined with her loud laughter caused the poor tortoiseshell cat only a few feet away from her to shoot up from its sleep, its ears quickly perking straight up as it stared unblinkingly at the unfamiliar girl. With the slight shake of her head, the Ravenclaw took a few steps closer to the couch, first picking up the feline, Vinny, who seemed almost as if she were going to pounce on the Slytherin for awakening her.
"You really need to shut the hell up before you wake up everyone else. Look, I don't really give a damn about why you're here, but you'd be kicked out hella quickly by anyone else here." Keira took a seat on the opposite end of the couch and placed her multicolored cat over her lap, who immediately went back to staring at the peculiar girl. There were few moments that the brunette spent solely listening to the soft pattering of the rain and running her fingertips through Vinny's fur, before she glanced over to the side at Avalon. "So, what did you do this time, anyway?"
You could be the most idiotic person in the world and still be able to reason why Avalon was currently in the Ravenclaw common room, now laughing her ass off at something that Keira was completely oblivious to; even if it took a few moments to understand. She was a girl renowned for her daring nature, after all. Perhaps Keira hadn't spoken to her often outside of classes, but she was at least capable of knowing that much. She was positive this was due to one of her many pranks after a few seconds of thought. Why else would she have stopped by past midnight? Well, actually, one plausible reason she could've been here was to have a one-night stand, but never mind that. "You're lucky I was here to save your ass," Keira teased with a smirk slowly tugging at her lips.
There were some who might've considered Avalon's mischief immature and stupid, but Keira would associate herself with the group that simply didn't really give a fuck what she did. It wasn't as though it was affecting her in any way, and sometimes she even managed to get a good laugh out of the stories she heard, so why should she care? People had fun in their own ways, and this just so happened to be the way that the Slytherin got it. There was nothing wrong with that. Not even Keira's kind of fun was that innocent; it wasn't nearly as audacious as whatever Avalon did, however.
It was the noise of footsteps that broke Keira's train of thought. She glanced to the side to see who it was emerging from the corridor that led to the dormitories, only to see a younger blonde boy peeking his head out the door. He was a boy by the name of Jackson, and also one of the small number of younger kids she actually talked to, mostly because she felt bad for the poor kid. He was definitely intelligent, but so skittish and naive that Keira pitied him. "Oh, it's you, Keira. I, er, woke up because of some noise so I, uhm, came to check what it was." His gaze then slowly drifted over to the girl sitting next to her, and his blue eyes widened slightly. "O-Oh, you're with someone else right now? Am I interrupting something? I, uh, I think I'm gonna go." He turned around, red-faced, and quickly headed back down the hallway until he was out of sight.
Moments after he was gone, the Ravenclaw rolled her eyes before letting out a soft sigh. "Anyway..." Her brown gaze had subconsciously lifted to the thick potions textbook she had set down just a matter of minutes ago. Softly, she muttered aloud, "So much for finishing up homework in the middle of the night."
