He crawled from the nursery like he was less cat and more worm, the kitten's eyes were half-lidded and sleepy as he trotted slowly out into the sun. The light from above made his pelt look almost on fire, catching the orange and white and setting his body ablaze in color; he had been named perfectly all things considered. Ember, a tiny flame. One day he might be a great inferno of a cat, towering and powerful; a true warrior. Or maybe he'd evolve into a calm and gentle candle flame, the sort of fire that kept cold bodies warm and spread heat with every touch; a brand of light that healed. Who knew what the future had in store for him, he certainly didn't. Emberkit could barely decide what he was doing during his day as he lived it, let alone what might come his way as he grew older.
For now his only real concern was getting breakfast, he was recently weaned and perfectly happy now that he could chew proper food and the scent of meat had him drifting over to the freshkill pile with a smile and a lazy yawn, tiny white paws carrying him to a nice sunny spot in the open before settling down to drag a small mouse towards himself; this would do perfectly. In his small paws it was a big enough meal for just him.
"Thank you StarClan for my mouse!" He pipped up cheerfully before tucking in.

The tiny ginger kitten wandered along behind Maplemeadows, utterly fascinated with her wings and wondering how he could get himself a pair like that too, when he nearly walked into her leg as she stopped. What was she talking about? He did smell some smells, but he didn't know whose smells they were!
"What's a Steelmoon? What's an Exile?" He asked, tiny nose wrinkling, he couldn't tell which was which but one of them smelled gross. Sharp and coppery, kinda like when he walked into a tree and his nose got all bloody and he was told to stop walking around with his eyes closed because-okay, yeah, that was kind of dumb of him to do but he wanted to see if he had echolocation like a bat!

my smol fire child, he doesn't exactly have a set personality just yet but he's friendly and likes to talk a lot!
he could use a mentor and some friends!

It was a shame he was only four moons old and didn't even know what a fox smelt like let alone what one looked like. He might have been more cautious, might have run back to camp to his mother or another senior warrior, but sadly Emberkit was unfamiliar with foxes. Anything outside the camp was still a mystery to him, he was unsure of the world but curious and this curiosity is what lead him to wander out of the nursery and to the edge of the camp's borders without any hesitation at all.
The ginger tom kit heard the sound of scratching and his head lifted up in confusion as to its source, there was a pungent odor in the air but not one he was familiar with and so his tiny white paws continued to carry him along in search of what was making that scraping sound.

What was his mother doing calling a meeting? She wasn't the leader, so it was odd seeing her standing where one might be and addressing the clan with such authority. Emberkit toddled along behind Clyde, starring blankly at the deputy with curious blue eyes before looking around for a comfortable place to sit where he could still hear everything and not be worried about anyone sitting in front of him. He was small and could barely tilt his head up enough to see Blazeheart as it was, so he didn't want anyone to block his view of her announcements.
The ginger kit settled into a nice patch of sunlight, eyes closed peaceful but ears alert as he waited.

"I wanna dance too!" Emberkit, feeling left out, went sprinting onto the scene where the other members of StormClan were gathered around bouncing on their paws to some noise arranged in a lovely manner. He wasn't familiar with music but he liked it-enjoyed the way it made his ears ring and the kitten was soon hooting and hollering as he bounced around in a pseudo-rhythm to the tunes.
Emberkit was unaware of why this little event was made, he certainly didn't grasp the idea of depression of sadness well since he was still so new to the world but he enjoyed happy things and that was fine.

"Hi mister!" The tiny ginger kitten wandered over to the oddly colored creature, his blue eyes glossed over with concern and confusion. Why was the blue dog crying? What was wrong? Emberkit felt his fur bristle uneasily and he approached carelessly with his white paws lifted up in an exaggerated manner; the child walked like he was shaking water off his paws with every step but it was because the ground was very cold. Winter was slowly approaching and he looked forward to his first snow!
The tabby settled down to sit next to Kaleidoscope, stubby tail flicking out to tap the cyan male lightly.
"Don't be sad, there's lots to be happy about! I learned what music was today, there's yummy sparrows on the freshkill pile and I think Lunalight caught them and it's gonna snow soon which is really-really cool! It'll look super pretty!"

    [fancypost bgcolor=;border:0px;width:450px;text-align:justify;font-size:8pt]
Emberkit was there. Mostly to watch. The kitten wasn't quite apprentice aged yet but he really wanted to see the ceremonies so he knew what to look forward to in the future! The tiny ginger male slipped up to sit near the front, glancing around at the others there with a white paw lifted in a wave of hello before he quietly settled down to watch and observe.

    [fancypost bgcolor=;border:0px;width:450px;text-align:justify;font-size:8pt]
Oh no, he wasn't going to miss this! Emberkit squeaked happily as he rushed forward, tripping over his paws and rolling head over tail across the ground where he nearly knocked right into the blue hyena before catching himself. Shaking his fur free of dirt and bits of leaves the ginger kitten bounced on his white paws in excitement.
"Lunalight, can I get a task? Can I? Can I? Please! Please!" Sure, he was still pretty young but there had to be something fun and useful he could do to help!

He didn't recognize this golden apprentice and he liked to think he knew most of his clan pretty well despite being so new to the world in general. Emberkit toddled along, head high and tail held aloft behind him, as he approached the other with a smile stretching across his maw and whiskers twitching.
    "I'm here too! I'm Emberkit, who're you-I don't know you!"
His blue eyes focused in on the vines and flowers twisting about her frame like slithering snakes, expression one of wonder and intrigue, "How'd ya do that? That's cool!" He had never seen plants move like that, as if they were giving her a hug.

    [fancypost bgcolor=;border:0px;width:450px;text-align:justify;font-size:8pt]
He spotted his mother from a distance and lifted an eager paw to wave her way, mouth still full. Emberkit wasn't quite sure what to make of her being blind, she always had been and initially he thought it was normal but now he was acutely aware that he couldn't just make gestures or nod his head when she asked things; he had to actually speak so she could tell his response. "Hi mama!", the kit pipped up cheerfully once he'd swallowed his food and he turned to Achromickit with his head cocked to the side at her question. What a weird question too-he had been taught about StarClan early on in his life so someone not knowing it was baffling.
"It's where you go when you leave this world! Up there!" He glanced up to the sky with his eyes bright and wide, "You can still kinda see the stars cause its early morning, but StarClan is made of a LOT of stars called Silverpelt and when you're done being down here and you've been good you go there once you die!"

    [fancypost bgcolor=;border:0px;width:450px;text-align:justify;font-size:8pt]
    "I can do that!"
A game? That was a game! He was good at games he could do that easily! The red tabby turned and began to rush off to set about making the best capture the flag game he could. He needed flags first, so he was going to go explore and figure out where he could get some.
