The feathery, tawny-hued form of Oakkit lifted his head at the echoing of nearby conversation that reached his tufted ears. Surveying the scene through half-awake emerald slits, the tabby flicked away a tuft of moss stuck to the swirling stripes that marked his pelt. His whiskers twitched as he listened to another kit's chirps of protest. Oh, what was her name? His gaze swept over the fellow kitten's pelt in an attempt to pull it from his still sleepy thoughts. Oh, yes. Charcoalkit, wasn't it? He, too, longed for a taste of the world beyond the nursery. But it just wasn't worth the potential risk of having his apprenticeship delayed if he got caught by someone who might tattle about his escapade.
"Does anyone want to play some mossball...?" Sure, there were only so many times one could play that before it started to get a little stale, but what else was there to do within the walls of the nursery? -
Before now Oakkit had never mustered up the courage to stray far from the nursery due to the unsavory idea of the possible consequences. However, upon watching Robinkit slip out of the mouth of the den, the maine coon mix went with his impulse and decided to follow. Surely just a trip to the fresh-kill pile wouldn't get him in any trouble, right? It wasn't like he was putting himself in any danger, after all. He was just feeding his curiosity a little, no harm in that.
"I wish I could catch my own mouse." He remarked to the tortoiseshell as he slipped up beside her, whiskers twitching upon his stripe-marred face.
-
With a blink of his bright emerald oculars, Oakkit gave a brief nod at Robinkit's remark. He was a little anxious about whether he'd be able to or not someday, but he realized that was kind of silly since pretty much any cat past apprentice age could easily catch a piece of prey. Plus, even if he ended up being a poor hunter, his muscular frame would likely prove helpful in battle at least, right?
Marshkit's voice snapped him from his fretful thoughts, a faint smile forming upon his maw. His whiskers twitched with amusement at how the kitten had just blurted out such an honest, forward statement. As his Clanmate sampled the mouse Robinkit had offered to share, he turned his attention to the approaching ginger and white male.
"Hey Emberkit, how's your day going?" He greeted, sweeping his plume-like blotched tabby tail around his frosted white paws.
-
"It's easy," Oakkit assured the inquiring kit as he packed some more clumps of moss onto the ball, rolling it in circles beneath his paw-pad until it was rounded to his satisfaction. He hooked a claw into the ball's woven tendrils of earth, tossing it in the air lightly so it would land at Charcoalkit's paws. "Like that... I know, it's probably not nearly as exciting as taking on a group of ShadowClanners or something, but it's not so bad." He explained with a half-smile, whiskers twitching.

Anyone want threads with Antkit? She like to play games, spar, and play pranks.
Thread with Oakkit maybe?
-
As Antkit brushed past the feathery four moon old tabby, he halfway opened one of his viridescent orbs, blinking a few times as the blurred world came into focus around him. He then shifted his frame to make way for the other kits that followed after her. Wow, it's nearly impossible to get a moment to yourself in this den full of nosy kittens, he remarked inwardly, though it didn't bother him. The constant bustling within the nursery kept things from getting too boring. Though some of the kits here were older than him, his sizable stature allowed him to hold his own in the little mock-battles that took place around here.
-
Sure! any specific plot/theme for the thread, or just the usual interactions?
I'm pretty much up for anything if you have any ideas you'd like to suggest, but if not just the usual interactions is fine! Who makes?
-
probably going to make it myself, since my idea for a plot is that ant is trying to set up a prank since she's bored as hell, but oakpaw catches her in the act and reacts accordingly
Okay! : )

Oakkit's features were bathed in the bright sunlight of morning that filtered through the trees surrounding ThunderClan camp as he padded out of the nursery, highlighting the russet undertones within his brown tabby pelt. The illumination of a new day caught in droplets of dew which hung heavy on the nearby blades of grass and dampened his coat. Giving each of his still rather short though steadily growing limbs a thorough stretch, he'd decided he would attempt to hone his rock-climbing skills today. He reared up at the nearest stone - one that could be cleared easily by most warrior-aged cats - and hooked his claws in crevices, heaving himself upward momentarily before gently sliding back down to the sandy earth. The older cats made it look so easy. Why can't I do it? He wondered, flicking a tufted ear. Did cats suddenly gain magical rock-climbing, badger-defeating, mouse-hunting powers when they turned six moons old? He didn't understand. Sitting down with his back against the stone he'd failed to climb, the kitten stared blankly as a beetle toddled over particles of stone mixed in with the earth below his pads.
"Being a kit sure gets boring sometimes." -

A light smile brightened face upon Marshkit's words reaching his ears.
"You have a point, Marshkit," he grinned as he reared up just as the fellow ThunderClan kitten had done, however he miscalculated and lost balanced, falling backwards onto the earth at Branchpaw's paws as he spoke. He blinked as he gazed up at the blue point apprentice through bright leaf-hued eyes and attempted to process the chunk of information he'd just spouted off. "I guess you're right," he agreed with a dramatized sigh as he heaved himself upright and out of Branchpaw's way. "But I wish my body would hurry up with this whole growing thing. Mossball's getting boring." He remarked before attempting to gently pounce on Marshkit, who he hoped would be distracted by the conversation and he could catch off-guard.

Oakkit sneaked up behind Antkit, keeping his pads light against the earth below as not to make any noise and give himself away.
"Boo!" He chirped in an attempt to surprise her as he peered over her shoulder, tufted ears flicking forward as he noticed the pile of spiky plant-things at her paws. Curiosity sparked in his bright leafy-hued gaze, and he tilted his head in slight confusion. "Are those herbs?" He inquired. No, surely not. What would Antkit want with a pile of herbs? Does she want to be a medicine cat?
-
Oakkit's thick tabby-marked pelt hung heavy to his frame as the droplets of water from the sky drenched the land below. It was nice at first, feeling all the dirt and grime of everyday life wash away. The rainfall kept getting more substantial, though, and he decided it might be a good idea to take shelter in the nursery. As he turned to pad into the safety of the den, he narrowed his eyes against the hazy veil of pelting moisture. Branchpaw and Bluekit? The rain was getting a little too heavy to play in, the ThunderClan kitten thought. Upon nearing the pair, it appeared that Bluekit was upset or something.
"Is she okay?" He inquired with concern, shifting his gaze to Branchpaw's blue-pointed form.
