Good point. Lol. They will be 1 1/2 month. Young enough still for milk but already up and moving around a bit.

Interesting facts about Caracals below. Also more on Wiki: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caracal
After a gestation of approximately 78-81 days, females produce a litter of 1-4 kittens, with 2 being the average. They begin to open their eyes on their first day of life, but it takes 6-10 days for them to completely open. They are weaned at 10 weeks, and will remain with their mothers for up to a year. They attain sexual maturity between 12-16 months.

"I don't underestimate them," he retorted. "Only a fool would underestimate ones enemies."

With nothing more to say to her Moon turned as if to leave. But in the moment he lifted his paw to take a step he flung himself around and forward, erasing the distance between himself and the ThunderClan leader. Large claws reaching out as he attempted to grab hold of her shoulders and drag her down into the dirt.

His eyes rarely missed a thing and they didn't miss her reaction. The widening of her pretty, blue eyes. Or the way her nose wrinkled at the compliments he gave her. Better yet the almost timid way she backed away from him, as if he were coming on to strong. Although the young tabby tom hadn't yet mastered the aggressive tactics, he supposed his youth and size didn't go paw in paw with it.

"When a she-cat is as pretty as you," he murmured with a steady smile, "and doesn't let smooth words like mine get to you...."

Whisperingkit was silent a long moment, pale eyes closed. When they opened again he was smirking, eyes lit with determined challenge. "You must be perfect. What else do you got going for you?"

    //I love how she's so I-don't-care about it. <3333

The SkyClan kit didn't quite believer her but decided not to push. He prided himself in knowing a lot about she-cats and Wisp knew that when they were ready to tell you something, they'd tell you. Of course that was only have the time. Other times they secretly wanted a male to weasel the information out of them.

    Such complicatedly beautiful creatures.

Allowing his pale eyes to sweep their surroundings once more he answered, "I don't believe it has a name, although it certainly deserves one." The tabby tom dipped his head in greeting, a steady smile on him maw. "I'm Whisperingkit of SkyClan. And I am assuming, since you're on that side of the river, that you're from ThunderClan?"

It would become quite bothersome if they had to continue to shout across the river at each other. Luckily he knew a way across, although he'd never ventured over before. He was the breaker of many rules but he wasn't about to invade a rival clans territory. Without giving warning he turned and began padding upriver, eyes on the thin, rocky pathway that connected to two territory. "I'll cross over," he informed her at last,
"and we can talk more easily."

He was a cat that loved indulging in his own pleasures and although a loyal friend, was selfish in the sense that he didn't care to lend a listening ear or go out of his way to lend a helping paw. Which was why, half way through Crouchkits speech the tabby tom felt his mind start to wonder. Pale eyes flickering back to Poppy and Cloud.

Looking back at the other kit only when the silence had stretched on to long. Grinning sheepishly he apologized. "Sorry about that Crouchy, my thoughts carried me away."

    Sitting up straighter he meowed,
"we can't all see eye to eye I guess. But that's okay. I can respect that."

Peering down at his own paws the kitten rotated them cautiously, but he didn't come close to achieving the same effect.

Grinning sheepishly he lifted his eyes, watching with wide eyes as the wildcat flipped himself around and skillfully worked himself out of the tree. SkyClan cats were all skilled climbers, but this newcomer but them all to shame. "So you are a super SkyClan cat," he meowed seriously, "because that's what I'm hearing and it's amazing."

Wisp didn't allow himself to get to carried away in thoughts of having such abilities himself. As he wasn't one to dream about things that couldn't be. It was enough to know a cat that could do that.

"You have all these fancy skills," he began cheerfully, "I daresay... perhaps you can help me learn to fish?"

A jungle? He didn't and shook his head to indicated such. Allowing his mind to conjure up trees, with their leafy tops hidden by clouds, and monkeys and... "What is a monkey? Or a parrot? And a jaguar?" They way he spoke about them they had to be prey of some kind, a prey only found in his homeland. It was difficult for Wisp to imagine a creature he'd never seen before, wondering how many legs it had or how many heads.

His pale eyes flickered upward, taking in the trees here. That seemed as tall to him as the ones he spoke of. That they seemed small to the Margay was unsettling.

Wisp jerked his head around to watch Cricketpaw, ears tall with anticipation as he awaited Leopards answer. Why had he left his home?

// Lolol that's something my friend says all the time. It's okay. <3

Being an apprentice was the next foothold in his deep-seated ambitions for something greater. And having the right mentor would mean everything to his future. His training. His skill set. Which was why he planned to ask Thrushstar personally if Leopard could be his mentor. As well as to make sure he wasn't going to have to wait any longer to start his apprenticeship.

The tabby tom should have felt regret about his rule breaking career, that perhaps he wouldn't be in this situation if he'd obeyed the rules, but he felt nothing. Only a sense of amusement and contentment with his adventures. And the many adventures to come.

Despite his faults he was loyal and hardworking, although as a kit he hadn't had to do much work. He certainly wasn't afraid of the idea of hard work.

Leopards sudden arrival at his side made him start, blinking his big blue eyes over at the other tom. His smile was slow but friendly, glad that the wildcat was going to face their leader with him. "I'm totally pumped for this. You?"

The wave of squirming, hissing bodies had nearly overwhelmed the trio of caracals. Despite their superior strength and size they had been grossly outnumbered, having only won the battle when the sky released a heavy sheet of rain that turned the earth beneath their paws into slick puddles of mud. Their vision reduced to only a few pawsteps in front of them.

The rats had retreated into their ditch and the wildcats had fled to the barn. Where they nursed their wounds and Spring Leaf, with her knowledge of planets, had treated against infections.

It had taken them only a few days to recover. Their medicine supply was plentiful, which could also be said of their food and water supplies. As they had predicted the barn made an excellent place for them to settle down. Permanently, they hadn't yet decided. But a safe place for Spring to have her kits, which happened on the fourth sunrise of their stay.

Three healthy cubs that cried and squirmed against her belly, paws kneading as they drank eagerly. The she-caracal smiled. Satisfied and eager to share her world with kits, her first litter. Moon's first litter. And if fate was kind she would have more. With Moon and with Sun too.

Leaning her head down Spring nuzzled her firstborn, a tiny little thing as caracals go. And as her mother had done, and her mothers mother had done, and so one, Spring whispered in their ears their names.

"Little Fawn. Feather Step. Hawk Wind. Wind Runner."

—— ONE AND A HALF MONTHS LATER ——

Sun padded back into the barn, wet moss dripping from his jaws and down onto his sandy chest. But the wildcat didn't seem to mind the cool touch of the liquid, added with the frosty night air. His steps were light and his smile steady as he approached the warm, dim light corner of the barn. Where Spring Leaf had made a nest of hay and dry moss for her kits.

The little buggers were older now. Already getting their barrings around the barn and Uncle Sun couldn't have been more pleased. Finally felines that didn't question his childish, often reckless behavior. At least no to much anyways.

Waving his shortened tail at the queen he dropped the moss at the nests edge. "Drink up kits," he meowed.

What with rats still being a problem around the barn the three adults had decided against letting them outside for now, until they were older and could help with the defense of their territory. For however long they decided to stay.

"Thank you Sun," Spring purred, green eyes blinking appreciatively. "Have you seen your brother? He's been gone since sunset."

// sorry guys. have had class these last few days and have been really tired after. it's weird.

Sun seemed unconcerned that his brother hadn't returned, shrugging his massive shoulders. But his amber eyes flickered with the worry he couldn't easily express. Ever since their run in with the moor cats Moon had been irritable and silent, unlike the normally even-tempered caracal. And now this disappearing act.

But as much as he wanted to go in search of the older tom he didn't. He wouldn't forgive himself if something were to happen to Spring and the cubs in his absence, and neither would his brother. It was strange to be the one thinking before acting, as Sun was often firing off without a care to how his actions effected anyone. Perhaps the encounter with the smallcats had effected him as well. It was strange to see them in such large numbers.

He shook his head, giving the queen a reassuring smile. "I'm sure Moon is fine. No smallcat is going to take him down and not much else out there is even a threat to our kind."

Spring tried to be comforted by his words, but she'd seen the worry behind his golden gaze.

Sighing heavily the she-caracal shoved the worry aside, for now, focusing on her kits. The four of them bickered below and she rolled her eyes. Amused at their antics. "Wind Runner, you'll do no such thing. Those rats would make a meal of you. Fawn don't you give your siblings sass, as adorable as it is. And no sweetheart, you can't go outside yet. And Hawk Wind, don't start arguments with your siblings."

The last made her smile. Reminding her of Moon and his subtle attempts to rile his younger brother. Attempts that often went right over Suns head.

Sun laughed, his smile turned down towards his niece as she thanked him. "Of course squirt," he meowed. Reaching a heavy paw to rough up the top of her head.

I've been obsessing over Whisper's bio and posting template. I'll be finished tonight and will respond to all my threads.

I get so carried away with developing my character and making templates/pictures that I forget about actually posting with said character. XD

    Don't be depressed Sheogorath. D:

Same trouble here. Tables take on the board colors and have a border, is there any inline code that I can input to fix that?

The spoilers are the same way.

Also, I've noticed that margins work. But not the same way they used to. Which makes it hard to overlap elements at all, because instead of moving up or down to cover another fancypost it simply disappears at the top or bottom... will that ever change?

I haven't tried putting both fancys in a container fancy yet, maybe that would work?

We don't celebrate Valentine's day, we just consider our anniversary as a day to go out. XD But still a good day.

Sorry I haven't been around with Whisper. I'll be back Friday. Just been picking up extra hours so I can get my car fixed. :P
