Stretching and yawning the tabby tom worked his way towards the gaping hole in the nursery, blinking out at the morning light a short moment before scrambling easily down to the forest floor. His pale eyes still drowsy and his expression run down. Whisperingkit had spent the better part of the night running around the forest, catching the glowing bugs and splashing in the shallows of the river. Returning home in time to avoid the night patrol returning home and the morning patrol leaving.

Which meant he'd gotten little to no sleep before his mother had ordered him to stopping sleeping in so much and get out and play. If only she knew.

Settling down near the fresh-kill pile he chose a scrawny raven and crouched over it. Nipping absentmindedly.

Whisperingkit was determined to stay on his best behavior. Meaning he wasn't going to be sneaking out of camp anymore or pulling any hilarious pranks on the apprentices either. At least not until he became an apprentice himself.

But it had been so long since he'd been a law-abiding clan cat that he was finding it hard to stay within the confines of camp. Despite it's size and depth. There wasn't a tree here he hadn't climbed or a leaf he hadn't inspected. The tabby tom knew this place like the back of his paw. But the rest of SkyClan he'd only begun to explore. There were still trees to climb, the river to swim, the animals to discover and hunt.

Boredom wasn't something he'd ever experienced before. But by StarClan he was feeling it now. He let out a deep, dramatic groan and flung himself onto his side. Stretching a paw forward to bat half-hardheartedly at a rock just outside his reach.

    // @SUNKIT

Ever since he, and his family, had encountered the WindClan cats and their leader Moon had been on edge. Furious to think that in this land smallcats grew in such numbers that they had to live in packs! No, he thought vicious. Clans. Wind, Shadow, Thunder, River, Dark, and Blood.

Or at least that's what he'd managed to beat out of a lone smallcat, before he'd finished the thing off and had him as a meal.

Not even his kind traveled in such numbers. Small family groups at times, but never forever. Never permanently. Although he supposed he and his brother had never parted ways. But their bond was deep, seared together by to much shared history and pain and lost loves. There wasn't a doubt in the caracals mind that they would be together forever. And perhaps Spring Leaf, the female that had joined them only a year ago, would stay with them as well. For it was obvious she adored Sun and Moon. She was currently carrying his kits after all.

Moon shock the thoughts aside. Amber eyes refocusing and narrowing on the moonlit trees that surrounded him. The rogue had traveled quite a distance to see each of the clans territories for himself. To know their scent, even spotted some of their faces. But he was a predator far better then these fools, poor in lands far more dangerous then these. And with predators far worse then himself.

Rolling his heavy shoulders he crept around a wide oak. It's trunk wide and tall, branches reaching up past all the trees around it. And overhead an owl hooted, big eyes blinking at him from within a hollowed nest. He bared his teeth at the creature, far to big for it to consider him prey, and moved on.

    History.

    Parents.

    Plot.

    Rules.
    1. Be active. If you are going to be gone for a while please let me know. Because anyone inactive for a month will have their kit re-homed.

    2. Keep me informed. So if you decide you want to kill your kit off, let me know. If they change allegiances, if they have kits in the future, if you no longer want the kit, etc. I need to know because I will be making a very detailed family tree that I would like to stay updated, and it helps when I have information coming in on all sides without having to hunt for it.

    3. Speaking of having kits. If your cat does have kits in the future I ask that you come to me for genetics, because yes I do know genetics very well, and I am keeping track of the families genotypes as well.

    4. Until further notice no family member may leave the family. Unless there is a good plot explaining their absence. Eventually this rule will be lifted, as the family gets larger.

    5. These cats are raised to hate smallcats. They are surrounded by a culture that hates smallcats. Some of their family members even consider them prey and eat them. So it is very, very unlikely that they will sympathize or like smallcats. So there must be a good reason/plot for them to like smallcats. This rule will be lifted in future as well, although just keep in mind it's still highly unlikely that anycat will think much differently on the matter.

    6. All cats must be aged real time.

    7. These rules apply to all cats related to Sun, Moon, and Spring Leaf by blood. So for any new litters or re-homings these rules must be present and I must be tagged.

    8. For this litter the names must be two part names, spaced in the middle. For example: Spring Leaf, Turtle Tail, Yellow Face, etc. Please chose the pre/suffix from the lists below. These are names I've gathered from every book in every series, up to the current book in the current series being written. Although I only included clan names and the names of the Ancients. Let me know if I missed one.

    9. These rules are subjected to change. Meaning I can add new ones, take away current ones, or edit current ones. But I will always PM family members to let them know when changes do occur.

    Kits.
The kits will be caracals. So brown ticked fur. Eyes can be any color except blue.
There will be three kits. One is reserved so there are two available kits. Please fill out the form to apply.

    Whisperingkit is definitely:
    - The cool guy that every lady wants
    - The super irresistible hottie with a body

But my favorite type to play isn't on there. I love cats that are rudely honest, going out of their way sometimes to be an a**. Is horrible loyal but seems to hate everyone in their clan for no reason at all. Has trust issues and usually a horrible mother/father reason to why they are so against friendships and love. :P

No smallcat would have been able to sneak up on him, which was why he wasn't surprised to turn around and see the strange, spotted figure. Taller then their domestic cousins. Longer in body and shorter in tail. He'd never seen a wildcat like this before, but his time in his homeland had been cut quite short. Not that it mattered what she was. Unless it was a coincidence that she was snooping around as he was, which he highly doubted, then she was a member of this ThunderClan.

A predator mingling with prey. As if they were equals.

Moon's nose wrinkled, lips curling back as his jaws parted. Allowing the wind to carry down the heavy scent of her pelt. As he had suspected she was part of this place, apart of them. Although he had been hoping it wasn't so. "It isn't," he replied evenly. Amber eyes flashing in the night, fixed on the leaders angular face. Calculating his words carefully. "But it isn't yours either, at least it shouldn't be."

The smile that twisted his lips next was grim. Head tilted to the side as he examined her. Curiosity glinting behind the cool pools of amber. He'd mapped out every possible situation that could have occurred on his trip, even the encounter of others like himself. And although he hadn't excepted to find one of his own of their side, he was ready to alter the plans in his head. Speaking his next words carefully.

"I'm not sure what you are, but you're no smallcat. So why are you here?"

Whisperingkit cracked a goofy grin, pointing at himself with a silvery paw. "Me? I'm a kit. I don't have the skills to kill a butterfly."

Which wasn't exactly true, since he had managed to capture a butterfly the other day, but he didn't think he should mention that fact.

He saw her reflection in the waters rippling surface before he really saw her.

Startled by the sound of her voice he lifted his head, blinking pale eyes across the river at her. It wasn't often a she-cat left him speechless, but he hadn't expected to be caught breaking rules. Of course, upon closer exception, he noted that she was his age or younger. A kit out breaking the rules like him.

Rising to all fours the tabby tom moved to the waters edge, the cool liquid lapping at his paws. It was cool, cold even, but he didn't seem to mind. His lips spread into a wide grin, eyes dancing around only momentarily before find their way back to her. "Back at you," he meowed. "I was just looking at the water, thinking. And if I had I certainly would give them to you. But what do you need them for?"

From his spot on the ground he watched Sunkit approach. Blinking up at her with pale, curious eyes. The tabby tom had never spoken to her before, despite the fact they shared the nursery. Which wasn't to say he favored older cats, because the swirled tabby markings on Sunny were absolutely gorgeous. And the way she was attempting to boss him around was more sexy then he could say, whatever sexy meant. His father hadn't yet answered that question, although he used the word himself all the time.

"I'd let you escort me anywhere, pretty lady," he purred in response.

Whisperingkit rolled to his paws, leaning himself forward enough so that their noses were only a hairsbreadth from touching. "But maybe somewhere more romantic then the nursery?"

The aggressive and defensive way she held herself made his own body want to react in kind. To bristle and snarl and reach across the space between them and aim his claws at her. But the caracal remained still, only the fur between his shoulders and the thin line of his spine raising. Ears and eyes alert as he soaked in the little bit of history she shared.

It was enough to tell him she'd lived with these smallcats her entire life. As her parents had. How long had her family been here before that? An answer she probably didn't have.

Moon didn't need it. She didn't know her true homeland. Didn't see the truth about the smallcats she had decided to surround herself with. He bared his teeth at her, glistening white points that made a stark contrast against his dark face. "You lower yourself with these vermin."

"Did no one ever tell you they are prey at best? Filthy little scavengers with no right to land or law or life! And yet you rule them. You rule prey," he paused in his speech, voice dripping acid tones and disgust. Moon didn't appear ready to go anywhere. He was seeing red at the edges of his vision, furious with the knowledge that a wildcat would do such a thing. Make such a betrayal of her own kind. Who were her parents that they neglected to tell her anything about the way things were supposed to be? He snapped his jaws together, the audible click loud in the stretching silence.

"You're no better then prey yourself."

His response was an odd combination of a snort and a laugh, tongue sticking out between his teeth. Wisp wasn't uncomfortable with the question or the way Crouchkit arrogantly agreed to his statement. If anything he was absolutely delighted, pale eyes dancing with mirth. He didn't have any cat he considered a friend, merely a lot of acquaintances, but this kit here was someone Whispering was willing to get to know better.

He was so fun to tease!

"Because I'm not into males," he responded smoothly. Adding with a wink, "although if you're trying to hint at something I am flattered, but I'll have to refuse you. We can be friends though."

The tabby kitten blinked up at Thrushsong as she approached. His grin turning lowering into a warm smile. "You can share a piece with me if you like?"

Wisp, glad that the other kit seemed ready to trust them, turned back to the medicine cat apprentice. Blinking up with pale, curious blue eyes. He'd have loved to lead the way back to camp and show Raven around, but as the elder here and the only high position, it was up to Wasp how to proceed from here.

But he glanced back at the other kitten to grin, whispering eagerly, "after Wasp-paw fixes you up maybe I can show you around? The camp is great." Although sneaking out was even better.

Only a few days had gone by but it felt like a lifetime since Whisperingkit had seen Briarkit. No, she was Briarpaw now. An apprentice.

He felt a stab of envy but didn't hold anything against the she-cat. The tabby tom didn't think it was in his nature to think badly of any female. Just to damn perfect. So as she sat next to him he lifted his head. That familiar slow, easy smile working its way on his lips. "Briarpaw," he returned warmly. "It's been to long."

His pale, icy eyes slide over her figure. An appreciative look on his face as he meet her eyes again. "You haven't been training long and already you look good," he paused to chuckle,
"being honest, you've always looked good."
