[fancypost=border-width:0px; width: 450px; text-align: justify; font-size: 8pt; line-height: 125%]// barg!! also, i'm rushing so this post is all over the place

Barghest thought everyone was gone? Oh, how wrong he was.

Maverick had literally just arrived in RiverClan a day ago. He had no idea of Sylmae's connection to BoneClan, but apparently Barghest knew her. Small world, huh? With everything that was happening lately, it was nice to know that some of his friends had survived.

The winged wolfdog looked to the elder, eyes widening. No, it couldn't be! "Barghest?" Maverick perked his ears, racing forward. He wasn't going to ask how Sylmae knew him, not now. "B..BoneClan is gone?" Maverick folded his ears now. His memories were held there. Flying with the pups, walking through the woods with Reyna... they were all gone.

[fancypost=border-width:0px; width: 450px; text-align: justify; font-size: 8pt; line-height: 125%]The aviator circled the mountainous territory, his hazel colored eyes focused on the dark trees and the stream running through. His large, white wings were outstretched, slicing the cool air like a knife. He remained up high, the tufts of the clouds tugging at his tan-mixed fur. This type of land was familiar to him; it was similar to the one back in BoneClan. He had lived in the snow-laden mountains for most of his life. But now, it didn't feel like home to him. Everyone was gone. The territory was destroyed. He had nowhere else to go, and RiverClanw didn't feel right to him either.

Maverick needed a fresh start. The ways of anti-clans weren't for him; the way they captured kits and tortured people. He needed to use his knowledge for the better good.

The wolfdog descended from the skies, his expression focused on the task at hand. He had to land safely on the ground, which should be no problem at all. He had prided himself on being the best flyer out there, and you'd better believe he was. Maverick had been born with these wings and had been flying ever since he was a pup. Nice and easy... Maverick told himself as he glided onto the territory of StormClan. Little did he know that he was in the territory and not outside of the borders. Oh well. He had never been here before, so how would he know where the borders were.

Maverick looked to Spellpaw as she arrived. Huh, at least she wasn't attacking him for being on their territory. That was a relief. He also saw another female who looked older than he and the apprentice. "Hello, ladies," Maverick said, presenting a rare and formal greeting. "The name's Maverick Legend-Stark. I'd like to join your ranks if you'll have me." He gave a charming smirk.

[fancypost=border-width:0px; width: 450px; text-align: justify; font-size: 8pt; line-height: 125%]Maverick was, to no surprise, flying. It was true what some, that some people just kept their wings for decoration, but not Maverick. He lived to fly. Flying was everything. They were an escape from reality, a new adventure.

The wolfdog was currently practicing his flying tactics near the shimmering lake. He landed on the ground, his feathers and pelt slightly ruffled from the wind. Maverick took another breath before gaining speed and lifting off again, extending his white wings and soaring over the area. Maverick braced himself, flying as straight as he could over the water before twisting his body and flying upside down for a few seconds. Before his wings could fold in an awkward position, he twisted back to normal and rounded around the water.

He landed on the ground. Maverick smirked but noticed a dripping from his tail. "Dammit." He muttered, flicking the droplets off before making a mental note to himself. Don't drag, Mav. Dragging was sloppy, and in a radical situation, it could mean the difference between life and death.

[fancypost=border-width:0px; width: 450px; text-align: justify; font-size: 8pt; line-height: 125%]Maverick turned his attention to the young snow leopard, slight surprise on his features. He didn't know that anybody was watching him, but hey, he was a sucker for attention. He was flattered that this little girl had liked his stunts. "It's not hard once you get the hang of it." Maverick smirked with a nod of his head. Anyone could see that he was being cocky; perhaps his ego was getting the best of him.

The older snow leopardess arrived, and he assumed that they were related in some way. He didn't hold back though as he gave a charming smile to Himiko. "Thank you." Maverick raised a brow. "Say, I didn't get your name." He looked the second-mate in the eye momentarily before looking down at the little one. "Or yours."

Before he could get a response, another voice had entered his ears. The wolf dog swiveled his cranium to see the cat. Huh, he still had to get used to seeing so many domestic felines. He remembered when he was a rowdy kid, when he would chase cats around for miles. It's just what dogs did back where he lived. The urge was always getting easier and easier to supress, though, so he would reply, "How did I get 'em? I was born with them. I've been flying since the moment I came into the world." He was joking, of course. He did learn how to flutter off of the ground at a few weeks old, though. Ever since then, with the help of his aviator father, he would pursue an interest in flight tactics.

[fancypost=border-width:0px; width: 450px; text-align: justify; font-size: 8pt; line-height: 125%]Maverick frowned as the others spoke about Kate and where she could've possibly gone to. He remained silent until he made a comment, "Dang, this place seems really... depressing." That was a harsh way to put it, but it was the truth. "Did something happen?" He had not been present for the murders that took place, so he wouldn't know about what was causing so much grief.

[fancypost=border-width:0px; width: 450px; text-align: justify; font-size: 8pt; line-height: 125%]A battle. Hm, sounded exciting enough. He could finally put his tactics to work. Maverick was high above the gathering of RiverClanners and Bloodclanners, circling and trying to figure out which target was the best. Settling on a black figure, the wolfdog would swoop down from the skies at high speeds. He targeted Ashbringer and aimed to ram right into her, hopefully sending her into the water.

[fancypost=border-width:0px; width: 450px; text-align: justify; font-size: 8pt; line-height: 125%]Huh, Maverick got a shoutout? That was great, he supposed. Being his cocky self, he would definitely try for a higher rank. He nodded to what Arcanepaw said before noting, "Noted, sir!" He wasn't even sure if this guy was older or younger than him, but he was used to calling people by 'sir' or 'ma'am'. It was only formal.

[fancypost=border-width:0px; width: 450px; text-align: justify; font-size: 8pt; line-height: 125%]Maverick's fur color was a blend of sorts. It was tan in some parts, though mostly gray and white colorings covered his body. He had one floppy ear, due to being a mutt of some kind (wolf and husky). He didn't look better than a street-rat, but there was a certain charm to him. In one way, he was pretty handsome, as some people saw him.

This one, though? She was pink. It was a curious color, but it suited her in a way. "Peachmoon, hm? The name's Maverick Legend-Stark." Maverick liked to flaunt his last names, he guessed. It was a cool combination. He also could've carried the Haddock, Resurgam, Starke, Harbringer, Sixx, and Muzikant names, but he didn't have the time to memorize them. "It's a pleasure." The wolfdog gave her a nod, his eyes bright.

[fancypost=border-width:0px; width: 450px; text-align: justify; font-size: 8pt; line-height: 125%]Well, it looked like he was fashionably late. Thankfully he had overheard the mention of a meet and greet, at the border for some reason, so he decided to go. The wolfdog arrived finally, though confidence was radiating from the cocky pilot. "Am I late for the party?" Maverick quipped before looking to Kakima. Ooh, she was exotic-looking. How very interesting. "May I have your name? I'm Maverick Legend-Stark." He spoke to the female.

[fancypost=border-width:0px; width: 450px; text-align: justify; font-size: 8pt; line-height: 125%]Though Maverick was no spaceman, he considered himself a pilot. An aviator. Someone who navigated the skies and the cloud kingdoms as if he were a sailor on it's sea. The skies were everything to him; it was his escape from reality. He wished that more people had wings so that they could fly with him and explore the world above them, but for now, he was on his own. He was perfectly fine like that, however. Maverick had always been somewhat of a lone wolf, or a lone wolfdog, he should say.

The winged canine descended from the skies, having just come back from a flight. He circled the area before landing smoothly on the ground, his brilliant white wings still extended. "Hey there, I'm Maverick--" Once the wolfdog had closed his wings, some of his feathers had folded in the wrong direction and bent them. Not that it hurt, but he prided himself on keeping these beauties presentable. "Shit." Mav sighed, taking a moment to prod and adjust the feathers.

[fancypost=border-width:0px; width: 450px; text-align: justify; font-size: 8pt; line-height: 125%]Den decorating? Hm, he had never even given thought to it. He just picked out a barren den and laid on the floor, but hey, that's what he was used to.

Maverick made his way over, standing by Kakima, and he huffed, "My den doesn't have anything in it, so go nuts. Don't put any glitter or sparkles in it though, got it?" He had a joking tone, though he was quite serious. He wanted his room to be badass.

[fancypost=border-width:0px; width: 450px; text-align: justify; font-size: 8pt; line-height: 125%]BlizzardClan. He had never really paid attention to that clan, nor did he pay attention to a lot of politics, really. It was about time that he tried, though, and it seemed that Vang would be a good start. Damn, she was some hot stuff. What was she, anyways? A big cat of some kind? Part husky, just like him?

The wolfdog had no idea of her personal business back at home, naturally, so he would stroll on up to the crowd and flash a smile towards Vang. "Hey there." The pilot said, making sure that his white wings were clearly visible. "The name's Maverick. You're the, uh, ambassador?" He perked a pointed ear. "You should come around more often." The male gave her a smile.

[fancypost=border-width:0px; width: 450px; text-align: justify; font-size: 8pt; line-height: 125%]Man, it had been a while since he had been given a weekly task. It brought back memories, that was for sure. So, the wolfdog would stroll up and say, "I'll take whatever you give me." He talked to Rivulet as if he were his commander or something, and he kind of was in a way.

[fancypost=border-width:0px; width: 450px; text-align: justify; font-size: 8pt; line-height: 125%]Maverick had been there when the End Game had warned them, but other than that, he knew nothing of the resistance groups. He had no idea that his old friend was heading any group, either, so when he saw Barghest at the border again, he was surprised. He looked healthy and no longer ragged or panicked. "Barg," Maverick addressed the old BoneClanner, perking an ear and folding his wings. "What is it?" Maverick's tone wasn't harsh or anything, but rather curious. Maybe he was joining RiverClan.
