    [center][fancypost=background-color:;border:0px;width:450px;text-align:justify;font-size:10pt]Maverick was at a crossroads and his tense features showed it. He didn't want Reyna to be forced to step down by Hazeleyes, because he knew that she was a strong leader, but Hazeleyes was right about one thing: the clan would slowly perish if Reyna did nothing. Hopefully in the next coming days she would make an appearance. "If you're so sure that you could handle it." Maverick gave a snort before turning away with her to groom himself again. Why did she have to be the one to do it? Well, maybe it was his distrust talking. He wasn't so sure about her as of now.

    [center][fancypost=background-color:;border:0px;width:450px;text-align:justify;font-size:10pt]"Go easy." Maverick would say lightly as he approached the two and he stood by Hazeleyes. "I thought this was a meet and greet, not an interrogation." Though, she did have a point. This guy was hardly around.

    [center][fancypost=background-color:;border:0px;width:450px;text-align:justify;font-size:10pt]Maverick wondered why she wanted to know. Nevertheless, it was a good question. Not that he had a problem with the current territory, however. "I'd take any open space where I can fly." He answered.

    [center][fancypost=background-color:;border:0px;width:450px;text-align:justify;font-size:10pt]God. Usually, Maverick would probably have some sort of witty sentence to say, but this was dead serious. Hazeleyes had Feliks by the throat, unless in his eyes. No matter what he said, he really hadn't been around and he really hadn't been doing anything productive. He would look on, a slightly uncomfortable gaze across his features.

    [center][fancypost=background-color:;border:0px;width:450px;text-align:justify;font-size:10pt]Maverick couldn't help but let out an amused snort before he gathered. So, Hazeleyes had finally done it and called a meeting. He listened to her words... all of the high positions were active, yeah yeah. He perked an ear when she said something about a next meeting. Next meeting? So she planned on holding another one? In other words, she was trying to take the position. "You've talked to Reyna about this, right?" He wanted to consider her feelings as well. It's not like she had gone missing or was dead, so she was obviously still here. "I would think that it would be a little inappropriate otherwise." Considering that he was closer to her than he was to anyone else, he would side with her.

    [center][fancypost=background-color:;border:0px;width:450px;text-align:justify;font-size:10pt]Maverick was bored to say the least. Things were calm in BoneClan, which was always good, but there was just not action.

    The wolfdog sat against a wall, passing a snowball in between his large paws. He stared off into the skies, wondering if he should go out flying later. Maverick heard pawsteps approaching, however, so he pushed those thoughts aside and smirked. Setting his eyes on his target, he would aim to hurl the snowball towards whoever came near first.

    [center][fancypost=background-color:;border:0px;width:450px;text-align:justify;font-size:10pt]It was approximately 8:59 PM.

    Maverick sat on a bar-stool, sitting over a glass of whiskey. The young adult was clad in his white naval uniform, just having come from the military base. He stared at the television blankly, taking a swig of his drink in the process.

    A lot of other people were here, too. Some were just regular folks, young and old, and some were some guys from the navy base that Maverick knew. One, an asshole in particular, strode up by him before raising an eyebrow. "Alone?" "Just me and this glass." "Where's your girlfriend, huh?" Maverick turned his head fully towards the other man, expression bordering on amused. "I don't have one." I never thought I would say that in my life. "No way. So Reyna left you down in the dumps." The man snorted, and Maverick was ever-lost because he had never dated Reyna, much to his dismay.

    Maverick chewed on the inside of his cheek. Okay, mentioning Reyna was crossing the line. "That's a bold statement." He somewhat challenged him. "Yeah, well, she's probably sick of your inflated ego." "And I'm sick of you're attitude, buddy." Maverick stepped out of the chair and stood eye-to-eye with the other male. What was he trying to get at? "That's the difference between you and I. I'll let you know when she and I have our first date, got it?" The two young men stared at each other, unmoving. So, the other guy was gonna go for Reyna.

    With a swift crack of his neck, Maverick would say, "I'm counting on it." He would then swing his fist into the other man's cheek. The victim staggered back, but resurfaced and punched Maverick across the nose.

    Oh, typical Mav.

    [center][fancypost=background-color:;border:0px;width:450px;text-align:justify;font-size:10pt]Hey, it was one of the old members! Now he was feeling the nostalgia. Reyna, Feliks, Orion, Ophelia... the whole gang. Of course they were still around, but more people were coming in to the clan nowadays.

    So, the wolfdog would stand beside Celestialsaint. It was funny; he knew the visitor but he didn't know his own clanmate. Perhaps Maverick was partying too much to pay attention to who was new. Maverick gave a quirk of a smile and he raised his brows. "Luke, right? Where have you been?" Maverick's tone wasn't angry; it was casual, if anything.

    [center][fancypost=background-color:;border:0px;width:450px;text-align:justify;font-size:10pt]
    The two men staggered back away from each other and they turned their heads towards the lady. The other man shook his head and snorted, "He punched first." Maverick sniffed, blood running down from his nose and he shifted his gaze on him. "I wasn't aware that we were settling this like first-graders." Maverick sneered, referring to how the other guy "tattled".The other male shook his head and turned to walk away into the crowd but not before Maverick called after him, "Don't be an asshole on your date, pal."

    The brunette gazed back at the woman and he wiped his bloody nose onto his arm. "My apologies. I had to deal with that." Maverick said almost nonchalantly.

    [center][fancypost=background-color:;border:0px;width:450px;text-align:justify;font-size:10pt]Maverick listened and grew interested. Hey, that sounded fun. He heard the leopard and flicked an ear back. Jesus, what a kiss-ass. In fact, he wouldn't be surprised if a bunch of kiss-asses joined just to snag the open high positions. But it was natural for Maverick to feel this way, as he was naturally cocky and competitive. He was fine where he was, honestly.

    "I'm game." Maverick added in.

    // ic opinions

    [center][fancypost=background-color:;border:0px;width:450px;text-align:justify;font-size:10pt]Maverick saw the large figure stumble in the snow, and he barely recognized it. It was.... a bear, and it looked like Hazeleyes. Why was she bloody? Frowning, the wolfdog would hurry over and say to Hazeleyes, "What the hell happened?"

    [center][fancypost=background-color:;border:0px;width:450px;text-align:justify;font-size:10pt]Maverick watched the scene with a slight frown. He didn't know whether to approach them or not. Frankly, he didn't really like the capture of children, wherever they came from and whoever they were. It didn't feel right to him. He thought to himself, what if he was taken from his parents at a young age? Though Primalsurge hadn't exactly been there for him, he was sure that he would miss her. He would be scared and frightened, and probably too stubborn to listen to his captors.

    But then again, he wasn't born here. It's not like he was used to these "traditions".

    [center][fancypost=background-color:;border:0px;width:450px;text-align:justify;font-size:10pt]Maverick wanted to just walk away when Hazeleyes invited him over, but who knows what Hazeleyes would do if he left? He tried to put on the most gentlest expression he could and he padded over. "Hey there, little guy." He said to Wolfsbane. He wanted to reassure him that he'd see his parents again someday and that everything was alright, but he didn't want to risk an argument with Hazeleyes (and if Hazeleyes got mad at him for saying that in the first place then that would be dumb, in his opinion anyways).

    [center][fancypost=background-color:;border:0px;width:450px;text-align:justify;font-size:10pt]Maverick hadn't been around a lot, especially this weekend, mainly due to the business of his roleplayer. He was also feeling worried for Reyna, though, so that affected his openness around the clan. He'd be sure to change that, however. He noted the announcements quietly.

    [center][fancypost=background-color:;border:0px;width:450px;text-align:justify;font-size:10pt]Something was off about Maverick. In fact, the past few days have been a bit slow for him. He had been quiet, shut in his quarters, and this was one of the rare times that he was seen outside.

    The winged wolfdog wasn't flying like he normally was, nor was he reading up on flight tactics. No, he was just laying against a stone wall, staring into the winter sky. A snowflake floated down and touched upon his black nose before melting, though he didn't even flinch. Maverick just gave a huff, and his gaze flickered to the ground. He had grown mildly worried for Reyna. Maverick hadn't spoken to her in weeks, and he had heard that she wasn't doing to well health-wise, so that only made him more concerned. Her absence did make the heart grow fonder, after all.

    Considering that she was probably his closest friend, it made sense for Maverick to be worn out from socialization for the day. He just laid there, his thoughts clouded.

    [center][fancypost=background-color:;border:0px;width:450px;text-align:justify;font-size:10pt]Maverick had subconsciously heard pawsteps nearing him, but he was so lost in thought that he didn't notice anyone was there until they spoke up. He flinched at the female voice that he heard and he snapped back into reality, craning his neck to gaze at the bear. "Bothering me?" Maverick echoed, acting as if he were naive to her question. "Nothing's bothering me." The wolfdog answered, albeit more quieter than usual.

    [center][fancypost=background-color:;border:0px;width:450px;text-align:justify;font-size:10pt]So, this was a former member? He wondered why she had left in the first place. He supposed that she'd answer that if she wanted, however. Maverick put on a friendly smirk and stood by Hazeleyes before adding, "Welcome back then, Corey. The name's Maverick."

    [center][fancypost=background-color:;border:0px;width:450px;text-align:justify;font-size:10pt]Jesus, that thing was freaky. What was it, exactly? Maverick was hesitant, but he let go of all of his worries and bravely approached the much larger creature. The wolfdog folded his white wings and looked up at Benedict. "How's the weather up there?" He joked, as if the dinosaur were towering enough to reach into the clouds. In all seriousness, however, he would add, "Also, I'll need your name and business, pal."
