"I, Adderstar, leader of ThunderClan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. She has trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend her to you a warrior in her turn." The silver and black molly started steadily, her tone even and demanding the attention of the skies above. For a moment there was silence, and then her firebrand eyes shifted back down to Tanglepaw. "Tanglepaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code and to protect and defend your clan, even at the cost of your life?"

Her approach was one of grace as the silver and jet beast of a molly slipped up on light paws. Lean muscles rippled like adders beneath her spotted pelt, coiling up before springing forward in solid strikes. From the angle she arrived, descending from higher ground, she looked more like a well-oiled machine than a wildcat, her molten orange eyes firebrand as the sun lit up her face and pitched shadows against her more defined shadows. Perhaps it was that that gave her the appearance of always scowling, oh nope she was definitely scowling. "Olivebranch, you will not argue with your deputy. In case you've forgotten she holds authority over the clan too, and no more mention of this CloverClan nonsense, even if something like that did exist it's irrelevant to our lives now, as is Butterflysong." Her tone was firm and commanding as it always was and not for a moment did it lack confidence. As if she was shutting down the conversation then and there the molly proceeded to smile at Chubkit, the sun lighting up her face so that the scowls and shadows were gone all in a blink.


    In one fluid movement she moved to scoop the kit up so that he could perch on her shoulders up above the other cats present. "Nonsense, now you're Chubstar. High up where everyone can see that smile." Treat all children with love, practice being kind. She recalled a time without a mother or father, just two brothers, and one dark, violent moon after another. Never again. These children would be loved by everyone, cared for my more than just their parents but the clan as a whole.


    Of course with a mother as capable as Mossflight the leader knew they'd make great warriors one day, just like she had. Her attention was then drawn to Stoneface, that of whom she flicked an ear in greeting too. What a group they had gathered here.

    Slipping up on quiet paws the exotic molly slipped through the undergrowth, arriving without a word said otherwise until she settled. Large, rounded ears were angled forward and her narrow molten orange eyes shifted over those gathered. So Frecklestar was here to offer WindClan's assistance? "My apologies for taking so long, the ravine is steeper than I remember." A joke coupled with an even greeting.


    Her clanmates were correct in stating they were healing and made their own repairs just fine but she could recall larger boulders and jagged places in the ravine as well as that were more difficult to see to without setting aside warriors needed for patrols. Now the question was, did she want WindClan to be aware of their territory? She pondered their size but took well not to underestimate them. Frecklestar seemed generous, a compassionate but undoubtedly clever individual. It was then that she made her decision.


    "There are placed in the ravine that were made jagged and treacherous by tumbled rocks as well as larger rocks we haven't been able to shift. It is a generous offer you have made and ThunderClan is appreciative, would you be alright with your cats assisting in those places? It can be dangerous and it's very possible to fall and twist an ankle or worse."

What they said, what they didn't say, the shift of their muscles, the fire in their eyes. Sure, stepping in would cease the arguing for now, but it would spring up again, somewhere else at some other time.

She'd seen what she wanted to see, heard what was under the surface, wrought with tension. Now it was time to do her job as a leader and act upon the information gathered. "Everyone but Mossflight, Olivebranch, and myself, form a hunting patrol and restock the freshkill pile please. Feel free to check any borders as you go. Dismissed." The molly rumbled calmly, her firebrand eyes even and serious just like her tone. She gave a few moments for that to settle before speaking again, "Mossflight, tell me what you've gathered from this situation."

Sitting up right the leader assessed all those gathered for a long, collected moment. Molten orange eyes shifted over each and every cat present before she flicked her tail tip dismissively. Her attention settled first on the red tabby tom whose pelt was, for the most part dominated by white coloration. He said what he thought without restraint and, though it was icredibly frustrating, it sometimes served to warrant amusement out of the silver and black molly. "Adderpaw, you're dismissed. We are to train in the morning."


    Her narrow muzzle then turned to Icegaze, the stark white tom looked like a patch of snow, unmarked by many scars that often marred Warriors by the time they were his age. His eyes were a deep, resonating blue, a color she often found only when looking at the sky. He'd served ThunderClan well in his time with them, she could even recall when he was apprentice. That seemed so long ago, perhaps leadership was blurring her sense of time. "Icegaze, could you take Whitepaw out to gather herbs and restock? I must think over his new mentor. Both of you are dismissed." Next up was the cat she'd known for a while now. Dark fur ripped her muzzle, legs, and tail leaving the rest of her frame draped in beige, marred by the scars she'd had the displeasure of watching heal over into the typical raw pink. Blue green eyes settled into her skull and when she pondered her trust she realized no matter how much of a grouch or how assertive her deputy could be, she chose her for a reason. Mossflight was rugged, blunt, efficient individual, and for all her flaws, Adderstar would have chosen no one else for the role of her second in command. "Mossflight, take a break from your duties for a few days. Spend time with your kits, help out in the medicine cat den if you find yourself needing to do something, I'll arrange the morning patrols. Dismissed."


    And lastly there was Olivebranch, she felt a pang in her chest as she recalled the white molly who'd chased so much disrest in her clan. She would not humor the name of the she-cat however, that would be to honor her presence and the life she lived. That was not something Adderstar intended to do. Then there was Olivebranch, her fur dark, eyes similar to the moss they gathered for their nests and grew on rocks on a pebbled shore. She was loyal, ambitious, an active presence in her clan. A past member of some unknown clan with intentions to spy or remain loyal or StarClan knows what. She recalled Oona, that of whom she would not name, and the cataclysm she brought with her. Looking now at Olivebranch she knew she could not miss a beat, even as she hesitated on her decision now in her mind. Efficient, swift, put the clan before yourself. What you feel does not matter. "Olivebranch, you have contributed to ThunderClan as a warrior and mentor both. With that said, be gone by dawn. To have spied, to overrule my orders to Whitepaw, to be at the heart of so much disrest. I can not be sure your presence in a safe one with such a past in this CloverClan. If you are seen in ThunderClan territory come the dawn patrols, you will be chased out like any other trespasser. Eat well, rest well, say your farewells. We thank you for your service but the clan must come first." Her tone did not waver, her expression did not budge.

"If Violetstar seeks to hurt my clan I will rip every last life from her body and leave her name to die like her memory." It was a serious conviction she spoke with, but if Adderstar was ever known to be soft or heartfelt she certainly had never showed those qualities to her clan. It seemed she intended to do whatever it took to protect her clan, no matter what.

Like thunder reverberating through the still air before the clouds brought rain to relieve a summer drought. "Then so be it." The huntress was already turning to leave, her paws carrying her at her own pace towards her den. It seemed, for whatever reason, the confidence and conviction that pumped through her veins, had not waned even in the face of such a potential threat.

"Frecklestar, WindClan, it's a pleasure." Her tone even and eyes revealing nothing of how she felt past the typical stoic pleasantries the savannah the lifted her short maw to the sky briefly before turning her attention back to them. "Well, let's get started shall we?" Already she was in motion, flicking her tail for them to follow and taking heed to give the orders as they traveled. "Two groups would be ideal, one to move larger debris and rocks from the surrounding downhill forest and ravine and move it to beside the camp's entrance. The second would take those rocks and secure them around the edge of the camp, replacing our old thorn barrier with a wall of stone essentially. Most of the heavy lifting has already been done but it would be moons before we actually completed things so thank you very much for the help. Fill any gaps and holes in the barrier with more stones and when something is entirely secure and immovable cover it with thorns." If the renovations were complete ThunderClan would be near impossible to attack with the only route being down the steep ravine and single file through the narrow entrance.

    [fancypost=;border:0px;width:450px;text-align:justify][size=8]Her approach was a silent one, large paws whispering over the thick lain undergrowth and her slender, well-muscled frame brushing through a cluster of ferns to announce her arrival. Molten orange eyes shifted over the collective of SkyClan important figures as she sought out a place beside her own, coming to a quite halt beside her deputy, Mossflight. "Afternoon all, to what do I owe the pleasure?" Her tone was calm and collected, her features stoic as always.

    [fancypost=;border:0px;width:450px;text-align:justify][size=8]His mannerisms and attitude did not go unnoticed, but the huntress could hardly bring herself to truly care. If one held a grudge that long against someone so disassociated with their allegiance then there was something to be said for their mental state. Not that she could really draw the connection of the long ago incident to his current hardly hidden irritation. Besides, the moment he saw her she was relieved to see him get right to the point, an admirable thing. She enjoyed efficiency. "Negative, not sight nor smell. I can however arrange to send a warrior your way if we do see anything if you'd like."
