There were a lot of things Twist admired about the territory he called home, but the munchkin had to admit he'd never thought much of the stone pillars. He certainly wouldn't be climbing them, as Wei was thinking about doing. Not even if he was in tip top condition.

The Purpleheart was doing the occasional rounds around the border, just to check for joiners and the like. This time around, he spotted a stranger with a basket, an ambassador he assumed. Limping closer, he could feel the bandages around his legs dragging the ground slightly, a reminder he should probably change them when he go back to Town. For now, he focused his green-yellow gaze on the other with a faint smile. "Wei?" He wanted to make some jab at the femme's name but figured that probably wouldn't appropriate. After all, she seemed nice so far. "Thanks. How're the Skulls?" He didn't know much about the Clan, but then again, he probably didn't know as much as he should about any of ColouredClan's allies. While he awaited her reply, the tabby tom absentmindedly reached into the basket, shuffled around, and removed a small bag of trail mix.

There seemed to be no shortage of ambassadors coming around recently, but that wasn't to say that was a bad thing. In fact, it reminded Twist that he still needed to check in with the Rift this month. As far as this femme being a favorite, the Purpleheart didn't know much about her to make that choice. But, seeing the food that had been brought, he was willing to give the other the benefit of the doubt. That stuff sure looked delicious. Then again... she was a ShadowClanner. Twist tried his hardest not to hate the Clan but strictly Sango, but that didn't always work out. With no more than a brief glance in Whitechapel's direction, the munchkin offered the ShadowClanner a small grin. "I'm sure Yuri'll be around here, soon." Unfortunately, since he hadn't been blessed with any cool powers, he couldn't summon the Commander through telepathy or anything. Until then, he figured there wasn't any need for small talk. Still, he'd like to know this femme's name. "Uh, what should I call 'my favorite ambassador'?"

Twist had to agree that this week was boring, with the exception of the war with the BHR looming over their heads. He wasn't even sure when their attack would be happening, only that he better be ready. If there was one thing he couldn't complain about, it was that this calm before the storm gave him the opportunity to heal up as much as possible. Still, he thought they could all use a little something to chase away the mundane, and their war and preparations for said war were always welcomed to do just that in his mind.

Padding over to sit beside Noelle, listened to the Commander. Everything Yuri mentioned was expected, even so far as the two demotions. Suppressing a yawn, the tabby tom glanced around at his clanmates before his gaze refocused on Yuri with a nod. There wasn't anything he needed to say, so if that was the case for everyone else...

Hex didn't seem very happy seeking but Twist thought it only fair. After all, who would join in a game when they knew they'd be taking the least fun role? With a snort as the other mentioned he'd be giving them tips, he waited until Hexane had began counting to rise to his paws hurriedly. Then, he watched as both Arcade and Noelle ran off to their respective hiding spots. He thought about hiding near one of them and then giving away their spots when he was found, but that would entail him being found. And, he planned on winning this.

Scrambling a little ways down the road as fast as his limp would allow, he eventually caught sight of a scraggly bush in one of the many branching alleyways. Perfect. Jumping inside, the tom shifted to lay how he was most comfortable but at the same time tried to cover his bandages, which were still covered in the colorful swirls and pawprints of Kieran. Hopefully, such things wouldn't give him away and the small bush would give him both enough cover and some help in concealing his scent - if Hex planned to use his nose to his advantage, that was. From where he was, he could still hear the male, but was no longer in his line of sight. Had bounds been established for this game? If so, the munchkin didn't care that he might be breaking them.

Twist lightly bit his tongue in thought as Noelle's question reached his ears. Now he could understand why the femme had put so much thought into the question he'd asked her. Though, in his opinion, this one was much harder. "Hmmm... seafood. We were talkin' about being allergic to stuff and I'm pretty sure I'm allergic to seafood. My throat seems all tight anytime I smell it... but that might be because that food's disgusting. I know, cats 're supposed to like fish, but I can't." He shook his head, smile remaining despite his concentrated expression. "More seriously, though... probably seeming lesser in front of others. Is that a fear? I dunno. Maybe I'm scared of not bein' taken seriously?" He shrugged. "But nothin' like snakes or spiders, so if you're lying to me, those pranks won't work." Sure, bugs in general were creepy, but even the munchkin could squash them easily. And, snakes were pretty cool and didn't taste half bad. Heights, the dark, tight spaces... anything else Twisted thought of was a no. She had asked for fears and he'd given her two, so he supposed that worked. "Back to you! Truth or dare?" He obviously wasn't going to force her to pick dare, but he had a good one in his head that he'd like to use.

He'd thought for sure Noelle would make some remark about Twist being annoying, but she didn't. Instead, Twisted figured he'd use that. "I agree. I already live around annoying people." Excalibur's comment wasn't expected, but it also wasn't hard to guess what the dragon meant. Still, he kind of agreed. As far as Arcade's question, that made sense as well.

What really wasn't expected was Noelle's own question for the group. Even though that was the case, Twist tried to hide his surprise, instead giving a snort of laughter. It might be unexpected, but it was a good question. Torture... with his own recent torture still fresh in his mind, he found it extremely difficult to pick that one. But... innocent families... this was hard. "Uh, who exactly qualifies as 'innocent'? 'Cause, I'm sure there are families in the BHR, Exiles, and Cartel that haven't hurt anyone directly. And... I dunno, I wouldn't mind..." He trailed off, looking up at the group in order to judge their reactions.

Twist had also been pushing himself lately in preparation for the war. But, his definition of 'pushing himself' was likely different than Arcade's. Mostly, he focused on walking and stretching his legs. Nothing he did made him even come close to passing out.

But, enjoying his own snack nearby, the munchkin was witness to Aracde's panick. Having no medical experience, he immediately assumed she'd eaten a bad piece of prey. Still, it was obvious she needed help. Rushing to her side, he attempted to steady her with his own paws, despite the fact she was about the same size as himself. Then, he looked around frantically for sight of anyone who could help, specifically Fright. How useful cool telepathy powers would be right about now. Old fashioned yelling would have to do just fine for those who hadn't noticed Arcade's state. "Help! Arcade's sick 'r somethin'!"

Twist wasn't a medic - so far from it, in fact, than you'd expect when both of his parents were quite interested in medicine - but he thought it about time he took of his bandages permanently. All of the gashes and scrapes were closed and had been for some time. Putting weight on all four paws seemed easier now, though not pain free, especially in his front left leg. Still, with the upcoming strike against the BHR, he figured he should be prepared to go without being wrapped up. After all, it would hard to maneuver and manage his task of setting thing ablaze while looking like a half-mummy.

Sitting at the edge of the main square, the tabby carefully unwrapped the bandages. They were the ones Kieran had painted recently and he briefly considered keeping them. They weren't overly dirty... but saving them just seemed a little weird. Perhaps, when his half-brother returned - because he would - Twist would ask him to make a doodle he could hang in his home. So, tossing them aside, he went about removing the patch on his cheek. After he had, he lightly rubbed it with a paw. He could feel where the scratch marks were still visible, but wasn't sure whether they'd leave a scar or not. He told himself he didn't care whether or not Manic's claw marks remained on his face forever, but that was only because he would take that any day over what was about to come.

Thankfully, no one up to this point had asked what was hidden beneath the patch on his flank, close to his hindquarters so it was just about on his hip. Perhaps they assumed it any old wound that would eventually heal and be forgotten. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. Twisted seriously considered keeping it covered forever. He didn't even care if it would get infected or whatever else happened when something was concealed for that long. But, Manic's taunts rang in his mind and he unsheathed his claws in a flash of anger. The mark isn't something you should flaunt, seeing as you were weak to get it in the first place. But, perhaps it can offer some more motivation for eventually gutting that stupid canine. He didn't hesitate any longer, instead quickly ripping it off, not caring when it came off along with some of his fur and sent a fresh wave of pain throughout his side. Then, he was left to glare at the cursed carving of 'BHR' in his flank. He could always hope it would heal, but the way Manic had used both a blade and then her jagged claw, that was unlikely. It wasn't meant to heal. It was meant to be a permanent mark of embarrassment. And, that's exactly what it was for the munchkin.

    This certainly didn't feel right.

Perched atop the fountain in Colour Town's center square, Twist felt as if his knees might give out and he'd plummet into the water. And, not because the edge of the fountain was a bit more slippery than expected, though it was. No, Yuri was gone, but more importantly, Fright, Kaiser and Matterpaw.

Thoughts of why they'd left and where they'd went were ever present in his mind. He'd probably never know the answer to those questions. Perhaps they'd all left together for some other Clan? Twisted told himself he couldn't see Frightfur running off without him, but the serval had done it once before. But, what about Kieran? He was still in the enemy's clutches and was one of Fright's biological children.

Instead of focusing on the 'why' and 'what-ifs', he had to be completely attentive to this. This... whatever it was. New journey? Challenge? Life-changing experience? Maybe all of those. Leadership was never something Twist expected, but always, in the back of his mind, he supposed the desire to lead was there. After all, he'd been quite disappointed when, instead of Ara or himself, Greymatter had promoted Yuri back to vice-leader. Now that he was finally here, he could feel the tingling excitement in the tips of his paws and tail as well as his pounding heart. Still, he was also aware of the beginnings of a headache as he tried to process everthing. And, as there always seemed to be recently, there was that voice in his head.

How are you to protect an entire Clan when you can't even protect yourself?

You know you've never been one for politics! What do expect this position to be if not that?

You're too weak to handle all of these responsibilities.

If you plan to lead, you can't just solve all your problems with jokes, now can you?

Along with the uneasiness came sorrow, obviously. Would he ever see Fright, Kaiser, or Matterpaw again? There was no way to know, but he could always have hope. This is what gave him the courage to stand up here, looking out on all of his clanmates. Suddenly, the rainbow bandanna he had worn in place of his old purple one felt really tight around his neck.

"Attention, ColouredClan! Attention, please!" He paused a moment to watch as his clanmates began to flock around the fountain. A lot of them larger than himself, he suddenly felt as if he didn't belong a step above them. "I regret to inform you all that Yuri, as well was Fright, Kaiser, and Matterpaw have been reported missing. This now means I'm in charge." Obviously. As he spoke, he tried to keep his voice flat, but he could hear himself that he didn't sound as confident as he wanted to. "I've never done anything like this before." A huge understatement. Even as a Purpleheart, he hadn't had any really huge responsibilities. "But I'll try my best. Hopefully, I won't do anything to make you guys hate me." A fear he'd always had but was now even more so of an issue. He had heard about Clans where uprisings had begun stemming from grievances against the leader.

"Anyways, this isn't a formal meeting, I just wanted to make sure I told you all. But, there will be a high position meeting right after this to go over some stuff in the library. That'll include anyone who currently holds a position, greenguards an' all!" That was the end of his speech as he'd rehearsed it in his mind and he opened his mouth to say that was all. "Yeah... I think that - that should - that you should all know I'll need help with... with all this." Before he'd even thought about what he was saying, it had been said. And, he immediately regretted doing so. Flattening his ears, he couldn't help but mentally scold himself. So it wasn't just enough for you to stand up here in this state, all shaky and stuff, but you had to go and make it worse by admitting your weakness!

But, his wide eyes slowly softened as he realized the absurdity of this. He wasn't Yuri by any standards, but what use was pretending? "A lot of help," the munchkin said with a smile. "Unless anyone has something to add, that'll be all."

//hey, everyone, I'm Autumnleaf, and I'll be taking over after dipster and Yetin's departures, explained more here. This is a new experience for me, but I'll be trying my best and taking this challenge head-on! I'm ending my high-school career and starting to deal with college stuff, so know that those things will always come first. I'll put as much time and effort into ColouredClan as I have been, though, and hopefully even more. If ever you have questions/concerns/suggestions (especially suggestions c;), always feel free to shoot me a conversation! As mentioned, I'll post an HP meeting that I'd like all the HP's to attend. I'll also need volunteers to go out to allies to inform them of this change. I'll take the Rift and the Sanctuary, but if you'd be willing to take any other(s), please say something OOC!

Though he had thoughts runnung through his head like a swarm of wasps, Twisted knew he needed to get on top of things. Like last hp meeting, this one was in the library. Unable to sit, the munchkin was currently pacing back and forth as he awaited the arrival of the other high positions. He tried to remember all that he'd been wanting to discuss, but he was sure he'd forget something in the flurry of everything else.

//topics of discussion (more for myself, so I don't forget!):

    - allies, more specifically, those ones inactive, perhaps plan events and invite smaller allies, then make final decisions

    - finalizing blizzclan alliance?

    - any other suggestions about event/anything else are welcome, either IC or OOC!

    - whitecoat(s)

    - war w/ BHR as well as Kieran's rescue

    - may add more as I remember!

Politics might as well be the bane of his existence. Twist had trouble remembering which Clans existed, much less which ones ColouredClan was on good and bad terms with. So, as he approached the StormClanner and heard him mention that dreaded word, he fought the urge to act like he hadn't noticed the lion and continue on his business. But, he knew all too well that wasn't how this had to work. Stopping before the much larger feline, Twisted dipped his head in greeting. "Welcome, Fernando. I'm Twistedhumor, and as ColouredClan's newest Commander, I'd be happy to discuss whatever you bring up." Really, he wasn't very excited, but he was sure to keep a smile to hide what would've been a bored expression. Currently, if he was remembering correctly, StormClan was an enemy, but only because they weren't an ally or neutral. To be honest, like Fernando, Twist didn't see any reason why it should remain that way if the Clans were willing to support one another.

There seemed to be a lot of Halloween events going around. Twist had thought briefly about making up something for his own Clan and allies to enjoy, though with so many others, there didn't really seem to be a point. Spotting as well as hearing the dragon certainly wasn't difficult, and he was reminded immediately of Excalibur. "Thanks," he said, craning his neck to meet the eyes of the much larger creature. He wasn't very happy with the fact there might be enemies of ColouredClan there. Not knowing exactly who that was, he wasn't really sure what to think. But, if said Clan behaved, Twisted would, too. Taking the invite from the dragon, he continued. "I'll be there. Hopefully, some of my clanmates will be as well."

Another Halloween invite, and, though Twist shouldn't really have favorites, he was much more excited about this one. He immediately recognized this femme from one of his visits to the Sanctuary. A haunted house, she said? Sounded fun, especially for what would be Twist's first Halloween. "We'll see ya there," he said simply with a nod.

Fadingnova Break? That sure was a mouthful, though Twist supposed he had no room to talk. Coming to a stop between both of his clanmates, the munchkin looked over the newbie. The other seemed pretty jumpy and Twisted resisted the urge to mess with him. But, he should probably be just as welcoming as the other two. After all, he didn't want to go scaring off joiners. "Name's Twistedhumor. You ever need anything, come to me, alright?"

    ★★★

"Yeah, I dunno if there ever was a conflict. If you're not an ally, nor neutral, enemy is kinda where you end up." In normal circumstances, Twist didn't really see an issue with this policy since ColouredClan was an anti-Clan. "But, as long as you guys are willin' to be on neutral terms, I'd be okay with that." Once he'd said it, he realized it might sound as if he was simply being a yes-man. After all, he'd decided immediately after he took charge that he wouldn't be making any huge changes to what Yuri, Greymatter, and all those before him had set up, at least not right out of the gate. But, changing one 'enemy' to neutral wasn't that big, right? Flashing a quick smile in the lion's direction, he also made sure to offer Aracde one, too. He could understand sort of what she was going through. All of this felt like some weird dream he'd soon wake up from. But, he appreciated Aracdepaw, as she was one of those that had stuck by him and continued to put in hard work.

Twist was sure to watch as closely as possible in order to judge their reactions, but he'd never been great at reading body language. Well, from their words, there didn't seem to be any downright disapproval, which was a plus. The fact that only four were present was concerning to say the least, but at least he could trust those that were here would stick around. Until, of course, he made he some huge mess-up, something that probably was inevitable. With a curt nod, he made the leap from the fountain edge and headed in the direction of the library along with the others.

Glancing pointedly in Noelle's direction as she teased him, he decided not to answer the femme's query. It was not like this decision would be put into practice, but he still felt uncomfortable making a choice like this. In his mind, though, he was leaning more toward the second one, like Noelle.

It turned out he was also in agreement about Aracade's question, too. When the apprentice mentioned the alternative to drinking coffee, he looked as if she'd just asked him to walk into a grizzly bear's den blind-folded. "No way! I'll take coffee any day!" Despite the fact he'd never tasted the drink, how bad could it be? And, he was fininding it harder to get to sleep nowadays, so there was no issues there. With that question and the one before, he decided he'd try one that didn't have any bad choices. Instead, it'd be between two good options. "Would you rather be completely invisible for one day or be able to fly for one day?"

As each of them arrived, Twist offered them a nervous smile. While he'd really hoped Hexane would show up to talk about their medic problem, he'd have to start and see if the other would show up later. If not, Twisted could always talk to him later. After all, he seemed like their best option at the moment, what with Prism not around. Plus, at Fright's training session, Hexane had seemed knowledgeable enough. "I think the first order of business should be the Blackheart Rogues. To my knowledge, Kieran's still there, and although it's been speculated he's not in immediate danger, I still want him out and back home." He hoped they thought so, too, even if Kieran wasn't a part of their family. The serval was still a happy sight in the Clan, with his innocent smile and friendly nature. Twist prayed he'd return that way. "As important is the strike we were going to carry out on the Rogues even before that." While he spoke, the munchkin's gaze scanned those present until his eyes eventually rested on Saryn. His expression was one of clear anxiety, but he still managed a half-forced laugh. "Does our resident warmaster have any thoughts? We don't have as many as you put into our original plan. Should we change it?"

While Twist had decided to visit both here and the Rift, this one would be much more personal. How would Lucien react to this news? After all, he was obviously closer to Frightfur than Twisted had ever been. It seemed as if his father was at least somewhat aware of the relationship him and the serval had had before his memory was tampered with. Stopping in the same spot he had two times now, the munchkin tried to think of how he could word this while simultaneously trying to slow his own breathing. Still, he knew his voice would shake slightly as he began to call out for anyone nearby. "Twistedhumor Varco Alastair Jones, here..." There was a pause, one much longer than he'd meant. "ColouredClan's new... new Commander."
