Mistedreed padded down the shoreline with a freshly caught fish in her jaws. It had been a slow morning for fishing, but luckily she wasn't necessarily hunting for the clan. She had taken care of all her duties and had decided to spend her day at the river. She never really got to go out and enjoy herself much lately, but a lot of times that's just how it had to be being a warrior. The clan comes first which means putting aside time to make sure that all needs were met. She rather enjoyed it, but even she knew she had to take time for herself every once and awhile and two of her favorite things to do when she had free time was fish and swim. So that is what she did. It was a beautiful day so far and a small breeze carried the familiar scents of not only her home, but some of her fellow clanmates as well.

Pausing a moment to lay her fish down she scented the air and picked up the smells of Brackenheart, Bramblemask, Jaidenstone, and oddly enough an otter. Otters were silly creatures, but they were a great deal of fun to watch and play with. Retaking up her fish Mistedreed continued down the shoreline until she could see her friends. "Hello everyone," she mumbled joyfully around her catch as she drew closer to the small group of cats. Upon her arrival she placed her fish down and swished her tail in greeting her green/blue eyes glowing brightly.

Hey everyone it has been a long time since I have been back on this site and I guess things have just changed so much that its been a little difficult for me to get back into the swing of things lol I have spent the last couple days trying to catch up and adjust to the changes but I'm just a little confused haha! I don't even know how to go about figuring some of this stuff even if it is self explanatory. I just see a lot of things that say advanced role playing, semi advanced, literate, pm thread, even posts for getting a mate for your character has changed where I guess we're actually now role playing in the thread requesting one??... lol please have patience with me, I know majority of this is probably simple but it really has been a long time since I have done any role playing.

Hey I'm looking for an awesome she-cat for my cat Easternmoon. Considering forbidden romance, but would prefer a she-cat in his clan. If you're interested just post below!

    Name: Easternmoon
    Age- 28 moons
    Gender- Tom
    Alliance- Thunderclan
    Rank- Warrior
Personality- Easternmoon is a very wise and understanding tom. He is strong willed and can sometimes be a little mysterious. He takes his duties seriously and does his best to help the clan any way he can. He's very soft around his mate and is always a proud father when new kits are brought into the world. He dislikes hearing apprentices complain and will usually show his apprentice a thing or two about manners and being very respectful. He thows in his opinion if he must, but otherwise stays silent. He enjoys helping out, but also can be moody while doing it. Easternmoon, doesn't have a dark personality, but some find him a little scary at first site and very intimidating.
Appearance- Easternmoon is a Muscular white tom with very intimidating dark golden amber eyes.He is large, but not fat. His body is marked with scars of experience and his eyes hold the depth of deadly knowledge in them. He is strong and fierce, and by appearance alone very intimidating. His power ripples through his body while the danger shines in his eyes. Easternmoon is a very intimidating cat, but don't let his appearance fool you.

ooc: I'm sorry you two I swear every time I go to post on here I think I do, but then every time I look my post is never there. I've also been a little busy as of late so I apologize.

ic: Easternmoon smiled at Allison and then turned his head at the sound of another approaching cat. Isis had just padded out of the den, picked up a mouse from the freshkill pile, and then laid by herself beside the warriors den. "Hey Isis," he called to the she-cat waving his tail in a polite gesture. "You can come over here if you like or we can come over to you." He offered even though it wasn't really like him to be this open. He was just in a good mood he guessed.

Mistedreed padded into the warriors den after a long day of fishing and swimming in the river. She had run into some of the other riverclan warriors and an otter, but no one she was really close to. All of her other friends were gone now or doing something else like spending time with their mate or kits or both. Life was so different now being a warrior then from being an apprentice. That was all part of growing up though and she wasn't complaining; not really. She had waited for this moment her whole life, but she had yet to really bond with any warriors let alone find a mate. That's what she wanted more than anything friends she could be with and a life long companion...maybe even kits of her own one day. She sighed heavily as she layed in her nest wishing someone would come around soon and talk with her.

Awesome thanks so much! I guess I've just noticed a lot of (and please forgive me if I offend anyone I'm not trying to be mean or rude) but all the posts I have been reading a lot of them are so simple now and not as detailed as they used to be. Again I am sorry if I offend anyone I just feel weird when I post longer posts and then most posts that come after it are one liners... I don't know maybe I'm just a little formal? Also I'm really confused with all these powers that cats have now and abilities and other animals and some of the new positions like the riverclan lifeguard and what not kind of throws me off; so can anyone explain that to me?

    Character Name: Shadowflame

    Character Age: 17 moons

    Gender: Male

    Alliance: Shadowclan

    Rank: Warrior

Appearance (6 or more sentences): Shadowflame is a light grey (with darker flecks) tom with light green eyes. He has very small hints of white fur around his eyes and muzzle. He is a little bigger than the average tom and very powerful particularly through his shoulders. His tail is also slightly longer than most average cats but it doesn't hinder him all that much except for when some cats tend to step on it when he lets it touch the ground. Shadowflame has many scars but three that tend to stick out more so then other others. One comes down at the top corner of his right eye stopping a little ways below from when he fell out of a tree as an apprentice cutting it on a branch, another right below the shoulder joint of his left arm from a fight with a badger, and the final scar that is the most noticeable is the burn mark he received on his left flank from getting to close to a twoleg fire. The fur around the scar from the burn does not grow in normally and at first glance looks kind of funny but over time most cats get used to it.

Personality (6 or more sentences--these sentences form their own section and do NOT count towards the 4 groups below. Those are additional requirements): Shadowflame is not too outspoken but he isn't afraid to be blunt or share what he really thinks of another cat or subject. He tries to be nice to his clanmates, but sometimes can come off very harsh and cold when you catch him in one of his many mood swings. He can be calm and relax one minute and fiery the next. He doesn't put up with cats that act a fool for attention too well, but also tries not to judge them at the same time. He's not really a loner for he does like to sit and listen in on other cats' conversations, but he also has to have his space. He doesn't put himself out there, but will gladly open up to cats who genuinely want to actually take time to get to know him. He is not stuck up he is just very guarded with what he reveals about himself.
---Likes (at least 3): Shadowflame likes to play fight with his friends, go on long walks, and secretly enjoys helping other toms out talking to she-cats. After losing his own mate in a territory fight he has made it his goal to ensure his friends have the same experience he once did and he is very good at helping toms who don't know how to make a good impression make an everlasting one.
--- Dislikes (at least 3): Shadowflame does not like to get wet but puts up with it when he has to. He doesn't much care for eating frogs, lizards, and crows because he finds frogs too slimey, lizards too rough and out of all the birds he does eat crow feathers just tend to get stuck In his teeth way too often. He honestly can't stand cats who don't seem to have the wisdom of common sense. He is patient with those who are in the learning process, but it irritates him when you can't have enough common sense to know when it's ok to check out the thunderpath because there is no movement and when to stand away from it if your body is being shaken(example).
---Strengths (No MORE than 5): Shadowflame is smart, strong-willed, independent, and a pretty darn good fighter if he does say so himself. After all his injuries thus far he has to be considering his weak spots.
---Weaknesses (At least 3): Two of his weaknesses would be right under his left arm where a badger got him in a fight and the burn on his left flank. For some reason even after healing the wounds left him weak and if hit just right; can knock him down pretty easily. He does his best to conceal those areas in a fight but it's pretty hard to hide a burn mark when your fur doesn't come in around it properly anymore. A very sensitive weakness for him is queens and kits. In a territory battle just a few months after being made a warrior Shadowflame lost his mate Jadepool and discovered she was just a few weeks pregnant with his kits. Ever since then Shadowflame has a strong urge to defend she-cats and their kits from any potential danger and also has developed a very nurturing side that not many others get to see. He would give his life for them.

History (8 or more sentences): Shadowflame does not remember much about his kit-hood. He was the youngest of three in a litter his mother being a Shadowclan warrior and not much is known about his father other than he was some loner but there is talk among the camp that his father was also a kittypet. His mother never really told him anything other than his father had been good to her for a time and then left as soon as he found out she was going to have kits. Looking nothing like his mother or two sisters Shadowflame figured he got all his features from his father. Not many cats in the clan paid him or his sisters any attention as kits knowing they weren't full shadowclan warriors, but he didn't let that get him down. If his mother could be strong and hold her head up high even after breaking clan rules why couldn't he? Things got better when he was made an apprentice he worked hard to prove that even though he was only half clan that he could still be strong like everyone else if not stronger. Tragedy struck however when him and his sister Sterlingpaw were racing up a tree and a branch broke from beneath them. Shadowflame had just received a gash on his eye whereas his sister lost her life. So it just became him, his mother, and his other sister Dawnpaw. It was around this time that Shadowflame had met his best friend and soon to be future mate Jadepaw/pool. It was hard not having Sterlingpaw around anymore but Jadepaw soon filled the missing gap he felt at the loss of his sister. He, Dawnpaw, and Jadepaw did everything together from training, to hunting, and even getting into lots of trouble together. For moons they trained hard up until the day they were finally made warriors and they could not have been any happier. Shadowflame officially made Jadepool his mate after getting into a fight with a badger to protect her and Dawnflower. He had never seen his mother so proud, but she eventually became very ill and later passed away. Little did Shadowflame know that was only the beginning of his sorrows. Just before the battle Shadowflame had decided to go exploring and came across a strange twoleg encampment. Letting curiosity get to him he got too close and startling a group of twolegs was hit with a burning branch that had something sticky and melted burn to his side. It was because of this wound he was unable to assist in the fight which cost his beloved Jadepool her life.

Roleplay Sample (Required for first advanced bio): Shadowflame raced across the dark forest earth sniffing deeply as he went taking in every scent. Not over here. He thought to himself as he hurriedly continued on through the forest desperate to find his intended goal. Where could she possibly have gone to now? He was deeply frustrated that he was having so much difficulty finding her. Dawnflower was easy to find, but Jadepool you could forget about. She knew every good hiding place when she wanted to get away from everyone for awhile...or when she purposefully made Shadowflame hunt her down just for the fun of it. He didn't mind playing this game with her, but when she dragged it out that's when he got annoyed. She could at least make it easy for him to pick up her scent what would happen to her if something were to come out of nowhere and attack her? Didn't she ever think these things through? He laughed at the thought of it. Jadepool was strong and a free spirit so she tended not to think everything through. He loved that about her though. Now where was she? Ah-ha! He caught the slightest trace of her scent and quickly turned barely avoiding a few shrubs that would have tripped him. She thinks she's so smart. He scoffed confidently as her scent grew stronger and more familiar. He ran all the way until he came up to an unfamiliar clearing which made him stop. He knew he should have been tired after all that running but this clearing took his breath away especially because of the beautiful tabby she-cat standing in the middle of it. How had he missed it? "Jadepool," he called out to her lashing his tail impatiently from side to side as if he was agitated. "What are you doing out here? Where is here?" Jadepool laughed and spun around happily. "I don't know," She said, "but isn't it the most beautiful place you have ever seen? Come join me!"
Shadowflame purred but an uneasy feeling in the pit of his stomach held him in his place. "I don't know love, maybe we should head back and come check it out with the others." Jadepool stopped turning her head to the side in a questioning manner. "It'll be fine." She stated starting to once again leap around the clearing. An orange and black butterfly fluttering by soon caught her attention and she began to chase it. Shadowflame thought it was cute, but a deep urgency in him to leave made him a little firmer. "Jadepool we need to go," he insisted taking a single step into the clearing. In less then a heartbeat the sky suddenly darkened and the ground violently began to shake. What was happening? Jadepool was still out in the clearing when from the ground a large claw like hand of brambles and weeds came up and collapsed on top of Jadepool. "Jadepool!" Shadowflame yelled jumping to try and rescue her but his back leg was some how entangled in the same brambles that had fallen ontop of Jadepool. "Shadowflame help me!" He heard her call out desperately. He wasn't about to lose her. He pulled as hard as he could trying to get free but it wasn't working. Come on! He pleaded pulling as hard as he could. "Hold on Jadepool!" He was going to save her. He pulled a little harder and a loud scream made him stop and look up. As quickly as it all happened it was about to stop for the ground beneath his beloved Jadepool began to fall away from beneath her. His heart raced in his chest as he ripped his foot from the evil tendrils and raced out into the clearing. He was almost to her to save her but she was already gone. All that remained was a dark hole in the ground where she once had been. He was about to jump in to but then everything went dark.
Shadowflame woke in a start, "Jadepool!" He screamed looking madly around unsure of where he was. His breathing was heavy and his eyes wild. He was ready to fight but as the familiar scents of the warriors den hit him he began to relax. It was just another dream. He looked over to his left to see Dawnflower still resting peacefully despite his sudden outburst. She had gotten used to him waking up startled apparently as well as most of the other warriors for no one stirred save a few grunts and moans for him to go back to sleep. He turned his head to his right hoping to see the familiar small shape beside him but a larger one was in her place and Shadowflame had to remind himself that it had been two moons since his beloved Jadepool had died. His heart broke at the thought of her. Whhy hadn't he been there to save her? How could he have been so foolish to go and check out the twolegs when he knew he should have stayed away? His mate and kits were dead now because he had failed to protect them. He layed back down in his nest ignoring the his own discomfort of the bedding getting messed up. Tears streaked his face as he closed his eyes to fall back asleep, but sleep did not come.

    Comments (optional):

Shadowflame watched as Lostpaw took off her bandages, he had never seen the young she-cat without them. It warmed his heart to see that when they were finally off you couldn't even tell. Everything had healed so well. He was happy for her knowing how nervous the young she-cat must have been. He too himself had been nervous when he first removed the bandages from his left flank, but his wound hadn't healed as nicely as Lostpaw's had. He wasn't complaining though. He slowly padded up to the apprentices waving his tail in greeting to the young cats. "Hello Jasminekit, Chuggapaw," he addressed the two before turning to Lostpaw. "Your wounds healed very nicely, I can't even tell. You must be very excited."

I have a cat. His name is Shadowflame and I'm looking for a friend that will turn into a future mate eventually since it has only been a couple months since he lost his first mate. I don't know if you want to create a cat in Shadowclan or not but a forbidden romance would be cool with me if it's cool with you. Can you help me out?

Well if you are still interested and active I have a she-cat.

    Name: Mistedreed
    Age: 21 moons

Appearance: Mistedreed is a beautiful grey tabby(with lighter flecks) she-cat with beautiful green/blue eyes. Her fur is white undercoat. Her eyes are a blue green color, but its more green that looks like a misty blue sheen on top of it. Her fur is long and silky and very well kept. She has no present scars at this time even though many thinks she might have some under her long silky fur.

Background: Mistedreed was born in Riverclan to Scarletfeather and Jadestream. She and her sister Applekit oftenly played outside with their father, Scarletfeather. Sadly their mother died giving birth to them and it wasn't until they were almost apprentices that a hawk took Applekit just leaving Misted-reed and her father. It wasn't long after her sister's death that she became an apprentice and not much longer that she was made into a warrior. Misted-reed had always loved being around kits and eventually decided that when she wasn't busy with her duties that she would keep a close eye on the nursery. She didn't want to lose- or rather witness any more kits being carried off.

Other: Mistedreed is a very gentle and loving she-cat. She's not too temperamental and is occasionally very sarcastic. She loves to hunt and train apprentices, even though she is still a very young warrior. She is very passionate and ambitious and will do whatever it takes to protect her clan. Mistedreed has her bad days, but she is always usually in a good mood. She also loves to watch kits play and hopes to have some of her own one day.

Mistedreed lifted her head when Stealthclaw approached her. She smiled at the she-cat and flicked her tail in greeting. "Hey Stealthclaw," She purred happy that she now had company to join her. She was also grateful for the offer of a fish. She had gone fishing earlier, but had left her catch on the freshkill pile forgetting that she too needed to eat. Her stomach growled as she gladly took the other fish. "Thank you so much; I've been fishing all day, but somehow eating slipped my mind." She laughed in amusement. She hadn't really spent much time with Stealthclaw, but she did indeed remember the she-cats name.

May I try out for Nightkit please? I'm a little rusty, but I'll give it a shot :)

    Quote

Cypresskit puffed out her small chest in frustration as she marched back into the nursery. Who did Ghostpaw and Jaggedpaw think they were anyways telling her, Cypresskit, what to do? Didn't they know who her father was? She was just as capable of helping find the other missing kits as anyone else was! Didn't they know that she had a responsibility to find her brother and friends because she was responsible as well? She had heard them talking the night before but she had just shrugged it off and went to sleep not thinking they would actually go through with their plan to go hunting.

She huffed kicking a ball of moss across the dimly lit den. She knew what she had been doing when she had followed the patrol out of the camp. She even tracked the patrol quite a ways before anyone had spotted her! She had earned her right to be part of the patrol even after Lunarshade had caught her scent at a slight change in the breeze. It wasn't fair! "I'm sick of being a kit!" She hissed lashing her tail angrily not caring if she woke any of the other sleeping kits. She didn't care what anyone said; she would show them a thing or to about what she could do! It did not help that Ghostpaw and Jaggedpaw made it personal when they lectured her the entire way back to the camp when they had no place to. She was going to show them one way or another. This wasn't over yet.

Nightkit restlessly walked around the nursery wanting to desperately get out. At four moons old he had grown to a decent size and with all the new kits coming in, it became harder and harder for him to play inside the den. He wished he was an apprentice already so he didn't have someone constantly down his fur when he left the den without asking or decided to go exploring without anyone knowing. Today was going to be a different day though. Oceanclaw, his mother, was nowhere in sight and Nightkit was making plans of his own to lead a patrol. He was almost old enough right? He just needed a band of brave kittens to join him on his little expedition.

Mistedreed laughed, "It sure does seem to." She took a bite of the fish and purred happily. It tastes so good! She thought to herself and swallowed the bite she had just taken. "I don't know how some cats can live without fish." She commented casually in an attempt to make small talk. Starting conversations weren't exactly her strong point, but she was going to try.
