Leafbare was one of the worst seasons above all the rest, following in behind the lack of prey and food they needed to survive throughout the excruciating cold weather. Of course, Owldapple usually went out each day through the thick blanket of snow in search for prey, mostly by himself. He always imagined that his clanmates had other matters, or would tag along if they have nothing better to do, but the slow decline of the fresh-kill pile had sent a wave of anxiety to course through him.

Owldapple was laying in his best, body curled up towards the wall as he looked out through the entrance of the den towards the cats who wondered around the camp. He noticed a few going out for border patrol as some stayed behind, which made Owldapple curious. He rose up to his massive paws and sauntered to the center of camp, flecks of ice and debris falling from his thick pelt. "If anyone is not too busy, let's go on a hunting patrol, I think it would do us all well if we did," he stated. It was true. They needed the energy just in case BloodClan planned another attack on them, which he was sure wouldn't be long. BloodClan was always full of petty surprised that caught everyone off guard.

Owldapple was usually out of certain things that revolved around the newcomers as he felt that everyone handled the newcomers much easier then he did himself. With his more introverted nature, he usually avoided his clanmates altogether, but that was about to change. He needed to be more comfortable with his clanmates, whether they were new or not.

Owldapple had been laying in his nest, preferably next to the entrance of the den when he felt a light stir in his thick pelt from a simple movement. This was enough to wake the burly tom up from his slumber and glance in the direction of the cheery she-cat. He was familiar with her face, but not the name, much like his other clanmates that he yet to figure out. He recoiled his body from the center of the nest and slid out across the clearing, stirring the snow beneath his massive paws, each stride growing heavier as the snow weighed down his thick pelt. He paused behind the small group of cats that was made up of Amberlight, Cyst, Nettlekit, Poppykit, and Squirreltail, and with curiosity coursing through him, he decided to investigate.

To his amusement, it seemed they were going on about being apprentices, and Owldapple couldn't help letting a soft mrrow escape his vocals. Making up his mind, Owldapple would walk over to the small group and dip dip his head respectively towards them. " I'm sure each of you would get amazing mentors, and certainly make the best apprentices towards them," he stated, "but patience is something we all need to have, Adderstar has been busy lately, and we should be respectful to her no matter how anxious you are of gaining your apprentice name." He was referring more to Cyst who seemed to have a bit more impatience of getting to be an apprentice. Owldapple never got his apprentice name, or found out what it was like to be an apprentice. He lived most of his life a loner on the run, for a search for home and he was thankful he even was made warrior. He suspected that he was going to become an apprentice when he first joined the Clan, but luckily for the battle-scarred tom, he was able to receive the rank he always dreamed of gaining.

Owldapple made his way over, specks of ice and other debris clinging to his thick pelt as usual. He had become accustomed to the array of exaggerating terra that littered his pelt and decided what was the use in shaking it off when it was just going to happen again?

The burly tom sauntered over and took a seat beside Thrustpelt, his muzzle pointed in the direction of Adderstar. His eyes were lit up with a sense of curiousity as he waited for the meeting to commence, his paws joining together beneath his massive build.

Owldapple had been on his usual hunting patrols, grumbling with annoyance as bits of moss and other debris clung to his pelt. Despite the heaviness on his pelt and the debris that managed to irritate his skin, it had turned out to be a useful tactic for catching prey and was he quite thankful for it.

Owldapple appeared from beneath a brush with a vole dangling from his jaws, his muscles rippling beneath his thick pelt with each stride he took. He had heard the commotion while walking by, and couldn't help but to eavesdrop just a bit on the conversation. He dropped the morsel and looked over towards Adderpaw. "Everyone has what it takes to be a warrior," he stated, his voice holding its usual grace and tranquility. "Even a kittypet if it tries hard enough, unlike some," he added later on and moved his olive gaze over to the younger tom. "It'll take a bit of training before you can even become a warrior, kittypet, you'll have to go through steps before you can reach one."

Owldapple took a seat beside Adderpaw, his thick tail coiling around his massive forepaws. "Though I'm sure through that time will you make an amazing warrior."

Owldapple was surprised about the amount of cats that arrived for a hunting patrol, though it was soon replaced with amusement at Thornkit's words. "I'll make sure to bring you a plump one," he stated and turned around making his way to the entrance. "We'll start by hunting in the center of the territory, if we find none there, then we'll go elsewhere," he explained as he shifted beneath the undergrowth, wincing slightly as the thorns that surrounded the entrance managed to gently grace his cheek as he passed by.

When Owldapple and Mossflight first met, I think that Mossflight felt a strong remorse towards him and disliked him from the start. I feel as though the two should have a thread together and maybe they could be good friends?

Owldapple was familiar with the faces that surrounded the Clan, but most names he never managed to pick up on. They littered the camp like debris, and eventually it just became a normal thing to him. On occasions would he set up a patrol or two to gather up some prey due to the fact that leafbare was beginning to take a toll on the Clan, and that was that was the only reason why he was familiarized with every face in the camp.

He was familiar with Tanglepaw and her sickness and that fueled the tom's concern for the Clan's well-being. The cats were going to continue growing weaker and weaker by the second if they didn't have the energy to keep themselves healthy, and Owldapple spent most of his free time hunting, and with all honesty, he was growing more and more tired. The feeling of dread coursing through him as he realized he had overworked himself once was all too obvious as it seemed his chase for a pheasant had left him worn out and his every being screaming with agonizing pain from amount of weight he had applied to all his body to catch it.

Owldapple staggered through the entrance of camp, followed by the scrawny figure of a pheasant behind him. His gigantism was something he was starting to regret having, despite the fact that it was good during battle, it left him in a almost unbearable pain that shot up and down his back, and made his limbs feel as though they were being snapped in half by dogs. Some may call him mousebrained for overworking himself, and he couldn't help but agree at times, but he knew that the Clan comes before himself and that their lives meant more then his. He set the bird on top of the fresh-kill pile and gazed around the camp, a soft exhale escaping him. "StarClan, where are you..?"

Owldapple had been grooming himself outside of the warriors' den, clearing any debris from his thick pelt that had managed to cling to him during his hunting trip. Once finishing up, he managed to pick up the strong scent of sickness rising up from the warriors' den and tilted his head slightly.

With concern now surging through him, the massive tom would saunter over, and gaze at the source of where the sour scent of sickness was coming from. "You need some help?" He inquired after Spottedpaw.

Owldapple had been situated on a tree branch with a blackbird dangling from his jaws, his olive gaze tracing the territory around him. The ground was plastered with the thick layer of snow that came in persuit of leafbare and it was getting quite exaggerating. It had become a hassle to scent things, even if you had an extremely sensitive nose that could scent from many lengths away. Though, despite the fact he couldn't quite scent prey, he could scent something else that was indeed familiar. ShadowClan. It was very fresh, meaning they were somewhere near the border of the territory, and curiously, the tom would make his way along the border, his paws imprinting into the snow. Finally, he came to a halt a few mouselengths from where they were and inclined his head slightly to the side as he finally paused beside his clanmates. From what he made out, it was something to do with Adderpaw, though he couldn't quite be surprised. Adderpaw himself was quite the menace, but he was also conflicted with his youth, or at least that's what he believed.

He remained silent and his stoic expression unwavering as he listened in on what was happening. He felt as though he might need to stick around, just until they decided to leave.
