Invisibility;;
Aleksander composed himself before he could suppress a small laugh of amusement. He didn't want her to feel any more embarrassed because he hated feeling any sorts of humiliation just as much. But when she looked like she was going to cry again, he also had to keep himself from playing with his own hands out of nervousness and awkwardness. He remained almost as still as stone, completely composed. Sure today was crazy, but this Cezera girl seemed pretty upset and frustrated today. The teen thought of her flustering as a bit cute and amusing at the same time, but he didn't reveal any smile or expression of reaction. Alek didn't really want to bother helping someone out, but he felt like he had to.
The brunette super didn't respond to the girl's thanks, and instead let her walk to her door. Almost instantly, he attempted in closing the door behind him until he saw her sign something to him. At first, he didn't understand until she mouthed the words. His face blank and emotionless, he replied with a nod and gently closed his door. He didn't think much of Cez. Just a neighbor who needed some help that he would rarely interact with afterwords.
His hand lingered on the doorknob for a few more moments before he turned his heel to find his roommate on the deck, a cigarette in hand. That sounds pretty good right about now... he thought to himself, averting his eyes from Whitley to the sky beyond him. It was a bright blue, partly cloudy, and probably would be another 5 hours or so before the sun would disappear. The last time I checked, the world was suffering global warming... he pondered almost jokingly, noticing how well-kept the environment was around him. Was it even real? Everything seemed perfect, and for the first time to Aleksander, perfect was getting annoying.
Next the teen stepped over the wood floor with the expectation that it would creak more like it would at home. He slid the glass door to the balcony open, his blue eyes exploring his surroundings as he stepped out into the fresh air and closed the door behind him without looking back. Though that same fresh air was interrupted with a puff of burning tobacco. He wasn't addicted to smoking, only took his mom's cigs a couple times a month during his most frustrated moments. But after 2 thousand years, today sounded like a good day.
Aleksander walked over to Whit, leaning on the balcony fence a couple of feet away with his eyes almost a silver-blue from the light of the sun. "Did you save any more than one from the crash?" he asked, still observing below them. There was still people mingling and minding their own business, all of them either finding their rooms or new friends. Hopefully he could get along with Whitley too. After a couple of moments of digesting the scenery of his new home, he began playing with his hands slightly nervously over the balcony. It wasn't hard to socialize for Alek, he just wasn't always comfortable with it. It didn't help when he realized how attractive Whit seemed...
Overall, it wasn't just socializing he was nervous about. The thought of what happened to the people in his old life scared him... he would never know what happened after he "died". Just the thought that he was basically dead for 2,000 years made his hands twitch slightly. All in all, he showed 0 signs of his worries and kept himself composed. However, he didn't seem like he was the only one with something on his mind. His roommate seemed a bit bothered as well.

cezara lucian anton
cez - sixteen - elemental manipulation - interactions: alek OutCast
cezara froze for a moment upon hearing where her room was, briefly looking down at the whiteboard at the number she wrote and then looking behind her at the door. suddenly her cheeks darkened red and she looked like she was about to cry... again, and her expression almost shifted to something that was somewhat angry. mainly annoyed with herself, she cleaned the whiteboard off and wrote on it again, turning it to face alek, "it was lovely meeting you, alek. thank you for helping me, i'm sorry to have wasted your time."
she didn't meet his gaze again as she turned on her heels and dashed over to her room, hurriedly opening her door. but before she closed it, cez turned around with a sigh and looked over at alek. despite how flustered she was, cezara signed something to him, "thank you." she mouthed the words to him as well, an embarrassed smile on her lips before finally retreating to her room and closing the door with a thud. did i just say thank you... twice... oh, how cezara wished she could scream right now, that was... absolutely mortifying. that whole interaction was an absolute train wreck. the only thing she could manage was a gentle laugh, because that's all she could do. her vocal chords had been damaged at birth, the most she was capable of was soft laughter and it frustrated her beyond belief.
after a few minutes of quiet brooding she finally made her way to one of the beds and set her stuff down. bathroom.... where's the bathroom? she wandered around the room for a while before finally finding it and she felt even more embarrassed because it had been one of the first doors when you walked into the room. why am i being so dumb today?? is it just nerves..? she shook her head bitterly and entered the bathroom, closing and locking the door behind her. it looked like a typical bathroom, but one look at the shower had her head spinning, how are there so many buttons...? what is this?? a confused whine escaped her lips and she turned towards the sink and mirror. deep breaths, cez, deep breaths she told herself and got on with what she had been planning to do.
and now she was out of the bathroom, expressionless and with freshly bandaged arms. now... nap time.... one more sigh left her and cez trudged to her bed, falling onto the soft mattress and pulling her stuffed rabbit from her bag. she held it close as tears filled her eyes, the stinging in her arms beginning to numb as she slipped into another dreamless sleep.

Whit raised an eyebrow incredulously as he saw a tall, well-dressed kid stride past the door and nod at him. The hell is his problem? He couldn’t help but notice Alek look back at him as well, gasping slightly. He blinked in confusion before realizing that his roommate had probably spotted the cigarettes in his hand. Oh, yeah. Figures that Alek wouldn’t be cool with it. Whit sighed and rose from his bed, walking out to the balcony and shutting the door tightly behind him as Alek talked to the girl. He wasn’t a complete asshole, he knew that cigs were pretty gross smelling despite being used to it and he didn’t want to pollute their shared room.
Whit frowned as he lit the cigarette and brought it to his mouth. He would have liked to say he hated it after days without one. His first inhale was stale and it burned his throat. Unfortunately, it was pretty amazing despite that. His whole body seemed to relax as he exhaled, and he took the time to let his mind wander. He winced as he inevitably thought about that Elliot boy. Whit wondered what he was doing, hoped he wasn’t still hurt by what Whit had said. No, hopefully he’s forgotten all about me, the teen quickly corrected himself. It would be better for both of them if they just kept their distance from each-other. The thought saddened him a bit, but he swallowed it down as he took another drag.

ONE DAY I WILL KILL THIS SADNESS, OR, ONE DAY THIS SADNESS WILL KILL ME—
Valkyrie offered a small laugh as she was handed a soft cloth for her paper cut as she bowed her head in thanks. ❝Paper is evil❞, she noted with a laugh while gripping her walking cane in the other hand. She could go off on a rant how paper hated everyone with it's sharp edges and cutting everyone's hands because why not? Paper was evil if you really thought about it. But paper is nice for letting her doodle on it; even if none of it made sense.
❝We will charge forward and take on this challenge my friend!❞ She cheered while raising her fist before letting it hang by her side once more. She honestly wanted to quote King Author and Merlin but she didn't think Enne would like to be confused again. Wait.. she doesn't know what Moana is? Why must this century be cruel. ❝We are having a Disney movie marathon because Moana is the best.. well besides the Lion King. Moana is a girl who can talk to the ocean and she befriends this demi-god and they go on this dangerous adventure to restore a stone to a goddess because the demi-god was an idiot and stole it in the first place. It has some really catchy songs, especially with this crab or whatever it's called.❞ She ranted while waving her hands all over with a goofy smile. ❝Oops! Sorry! I did it again but we are having that marathon one of these days. If I can find them but I won't hesitate to act them out❞, she giggled while bouncing on the balls of her feet excitedly.
Valkyrie tilted her head as she let out a thoughtful hum at the mention of her room being downstairs. ❝That's a relief, people usually laughed at me when I traveled upstairs to get to my classes. A lot of them tripped me so I ended up falling but I guess that was because I couldn't see. I don't know whether they did it by accident but I like to think they didn't mean to❞, she spoke with a small smile, her scared orbs staring at the ground before she straightened up.
❝Thank you❞, she spoke with gratefulness as she slipped her frail hand into the other's. She knew it was awkward to talk to a blink girl since most don't know what's rude but she didn't mind. All she wanted was to be treated normally and not like some monster.

Ennelentine

Human 💫
Ennelentine had just met Valkyrie, but she was already acknowledging and growing fond of her cheery and sweet attitude. What the girl must have gone through with losing her sight and whatever she had in her last life... Enne felt a piece of sympathy pull at her heart, but overall was impressed by and appreciated the way the other girl smiled and joked.
"That must have been a fun and interesting film... if we still have movies from your time, I'd be delighted to watch them with you," the girl responded with a smile and genuine words. Her mental focus averted to the thought of how these 2020s kids lived. The type of music they listened to, the type of movies they've watched, the type of clothes they wore... Though, she put her mind back on track: this was something to ponder and question later on in her newly found friendship with Val.
After realizing how innocent, animated and good-hearted this girl was, it frustrated her when she heard of the kids tripping her on the stairs. "I only met Val a few minutes ago. But if anything happened to her, I would kill everyone in this room and then myself" -Ennelentine. It was such unfair treatment. They might've just met a few minutes ago, but Enne had the new goal of never letting such disrespect affect Valkyrie. Despite her eyes being sightless, the taller girl could tell she was scared by the thought. However, she allowed the girl to believe they did it on accident and would, again, move on from the subject.
Val's hand felt small in her own. She held her hand gently, guiding her down the hallway and checking the room numbers. The hallway was dark except for the window on the wall at the end of it. Her black flats stepped onto the ground, the clicking of them muffled by the rug beneath the two girls. Enne's steps came to a stop when her eyes caught onto the gold numbers on one of the doors. She paused, double checking the paper Valkyrie had handed her. "And here we are."
