She was timid, shy, and shyed away from certain tasks that she thought she would embarrass herself in. Ocassionally she got a burst of confidence and would set something up, or would do one of those things she typically shyed away from, but not often. You would more commonly see her keeping to herself. And today was the day she would come across something that would help her grow as a person.
The library.
She hadn't explored the entire territory yet sadly. The feline had her best set up in the Warriors den as usual, that hadn't been hard to get up, but didn't know the territory. So Feb went to a part that she hadn't explored yet, deciding that she needed to get this entire territory down sooner rather than later. Her paws, white today, would hit the forest floor softly, stirring up the leaves that had fallen down for Autumn. Then a building would appear at the horizon. What was that? The female's curiousity got the best of her and her slightly wet white paws would carry her closer, the size of the building getting bigger as she neared it. As she dear closer she could make out more and more details, until she would be able to count every individual material that went into making it if she wanted to. Well this was StormClan's right? Feb decided to explore it- it may come in handy later.
Febuarylove gently pushed open the door to the building, and as the doors slowly swung wider apart she was able to see what the building contained. Books. Lots and lots of books. She had heard about these once, weren't they called libraries? The ginger and ivory hued cat stepped in, closing the door behind her so the leaves wouldn't get in. She looked around, her blue eyes drinking in as many details as they could. There were stairs downwards, revealing many more levels of books. More and more books. More than she could of possibly imagined. Her heart leapt into her throat, begining to beat faster as she grew excited.
Skip to a week or so later, and Febuary was back in the library. By now she had learned the basics of reading, taught by a friendly NPC who had found her in the area. After a polite conversation the NPC had offered to teach her how to read, and here she was back building on her skills. She had learned the alphabet and basic words, and was going on the stage of reading aloud to help her understand what words was what. Currently the feline was reading a book that was mainly pictures, a beginners level book. Her NPC teacher was busy today, so she would read in her own. As one came closer to her they would be able to hear the sound of her voice quietly reading the words on the page, slowly but surely getting each word there. She was having fun and she was learning, and for one of the first times since she got here Febuary felt happy and in control and confident, even if it was only about her reading skills. She was getting comfortable and used to her new home, and this would help her a whole lot in the future. This, this is why she had joined StormClan.
