[justify][fancypost borderwidth=0px]The snow leopard felt the absence of a menthol between his lips and deduced that while somewhat unsettling, his decision to give up cigarettes was best. They probably don't even have any smokes around here, Palmer thought to himself as he made his way towards the border that contained RiverClan's territory. His brisk pace, brought about by the sheer discomfort inflicted upon him by the wet leaves that crunched beneath his paws, slowed once the sharp, fishy scent of RiverClan hit his nostrils. While it wasn't a pleasant smell, Palmer couldn't be one to judge -- though he had given up smoking almost a year prior, the lingering scent of his once-beloved menthols still followed him, albeit faintly. Still, it was far too easy to notice it for his taste.

A small cough, perhaps the beginnings of a cold, sounded from his open jowls before he spoke. "Palmer Sinclair," the large feline announced, his voice deep and soft like black satin. "Here to join RiverClan." His bright eyes scanned the space just beyond the border, not having yet seen any sign of an approaching RiverClanner. "If that's alright, of course."

A small cough, perhaps the beginnings of a cold, sounded from his open jowls before he spoke. "Palmer Sinclair," the large feline announced, his voice soft despite its deep register, "Or just Palmer, if you'd like, here to join RiverClan." His bright eyes scanned the space just beyond the border, not having yet seen any sign of an approaching RiverClanner. "If that's alright, of course," he added quickly.

[justify][fancypost borderwidth=0px]He looked down at the smaller creature with a look of curiousity. Chuck seemed nice enough, Palmer figured he wouldn't have any problems with him. With a slow shake of his head, he managed a small smile in Chuck's direction. "I think I'll be fine, Chuck" he replied, throwing in the RiverClanner's name to cement it into his memory. "I may need directions to your camp, though." If Chuck, and soon to be Sweater, had been paying close enough attention, they may have noticed his penchant to seemingly speak with only side of his mouth. One of the odd quirks left over from smoking, he supposed. It could've been worse.

At Sweater's approach, the large creature let another tiny grin appear on his black lips. "Nice to meet you, Sweater." Sweater was an odd name, but he appeared to be a nice guy. A shy one, perhaps, but nice.

    [justify][fancypost borderwidth=0px]im here b

palmer and aversa need plots tbh

[justify][fancypost borderwidth=0px]Palmer had never seen anything like Draco, at least not in real life. Hippogriffs used to appear in the stories his mother had told him as a child, but the warrior hadn't expected to come across one. There was a first time for everything, he supposed. At least, from what he remembered, hippogriffs didn't eat snow leopards. The feline approached with both curiosity and caution lighting his sea green eyes. "You look pretty cool," he noted. "I'm Palmer, by the way, the new kid on the block, I guess. It's nice to meet you." Maybe that wasn't the most eloquent thing he could've come up with, but he had never been very good with introducing himself.

[justify][fancypost borderwidth=0px]ok so this Chill Dad™ needs some plots (especially long-term plots!!)
he's open to everything but capture, torture, and litters, but if you have any ideas for plots not involving any of those three, don't be afraid to share them :^)

[justify][fancypost borderwidth=0px]Palmer had never been to a harvest festival, but he knew when harvest season was, and late November didn't seem to be anywhere near that time. Still, a harvest festival would be fun to attend, if he were allowed. The snow leopard padded towards the duo assembled around the visitor and sat down, curious to see if RiverClan's leader would allow them to go even with the whole threat of riots.

    [justify][fancypost borderwidth=0px]
The large feline got up from his place beside the riverbank and made his way toward the source of the sound. Just a few hours prior, Palmer saw a hippogriff, a creature he thought only existed in fairytale, so he couldn't entirely say he was shocked by Patchy's appearance. Surprised, maybe, but only mildly so. "Name and business?" he inquired, thick tail switching from side to side behind him as he waited for an answer.

[justify][fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 450px]Palmer had chosen to reside in RiverClan for a few reasons. It had been close to the Loner Lands, he'd heard good things about it, and he liked the name very much. The warrior had been fond of water ever since he was a cub so of course he'd like a clan that was so focused around water that it was literally in the name. While it bugged him that he still didn't feel like a true part of the RiverClan community, he at least had the river. It was especially cold in late November, but his thick fur made the sharp chill almost unnoticeable. Maybe it wasn't advisable to swim this late in the year but regardless, the warrior waded in up to his knees, his thick tail whipping about behind him.

[justify][fancypost borderwidth=0px]jumin and palmer would have a v interesting relationship tbh
like maybe jumin is super stressed and ranting about something and palmer gives him advice, then jumin just goes off even though palmer's advice was a1 and he knows it, he just wants to rant

lia could be his edgelord little sister-like figure, perhaps?
like he takes her under his wing in an attempt to get her not be jared leto's joker-edgy when she grows up?
we could definitely figure out a long term plot, if you'd like :^)

[justify][fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 475px]Palmer looked up Homewrecker as her voice sounded in his eardrums, an uncharacteristic, shit-eating grin lighting his features. What could he say, he just really liked water. Before he could tell Homewrecker how nice it was to meet her, his name was Palmer, Kylo, Hester, and Verona all came over, each throwing in their own two-cents as they did. "The water?" he parroted, wading in deeper until he was up to his shoulders in it. "A bit chilly, but other than that, it's pretty nice." Then came Hester, furthering Homewrecker's comments about his balls and her claim on his corpse, to which the snow leopard just shook his head. "I'll come out alive, but thank you very much, miss." Verona's retorts didn't go unnoticed, however, and to them he replied, "I just really like water. I'm Palmer, Palmer Sinclair, by the way." He figured now would be as good a time as any to introduce himself. The male made his way back towards the bank, a sharp blast of cold air hitting him as he heaved himself out of the river. He was absolutely freezing, but he still managed a small laugh. "I think that wasn't a good decision," he quipped, "but it's a decision I don't regret."

    [justify][fancypost borderwidth=0px]i can :^)

    [justify][fancypost borderwidth=0px]
    sure, who makes?

[justify][fancypost borderwidth=0px]sounds good to me & wraith and palmer will have such an odd relationship bc she sort of gives him the creeps but he still thinks she's pretty cool

    sure, hestia
i'll make it once i'm done with gore's thread

    EDIT: jumin x palmer

[justify][fancypost borderwidth=0px]Palmer wasn't regretting his decision to go swimming in such cold weather, but he definitely wasn't proud of it either. Even still, the silver-hued feline was surprisingly content despite the shivers that made his teeth chatter and his bones rattle. He had conjured up a thick fleece blanket and wrapped himself up in it like a burrito. Or a purr-ito, if you were into puns. Tucked away in a far corner of the cave RiverClan called home, he rested his large head on snowshoe-like paws and let out a small yawn. The warrior could feel sleep begin to overtake him and if it weren't for, say, the rants of a stressed-out former executive, he would be out like a light within the next minute or so.
