Ic: Ito listened in silence, a look of understanding on his face as Toma spoke. He knew the fear of his own ability, which could easily be translated into anger. "So you still have an agenda, then?" Ito asked her, a fire building inside of him as he thought about his own target, Dr. Hayashi. He felt what now seemed to be a consistent pang of guilt when Toma mentioned her sister. He was taken bad as she leaned back against the rock, her head bleeding. "Hey, let's calm down, I thought that was the purpose of the hotsprings." Ito cautioned with a hint of sarcasm in his voice as he moved from across towards left side, placing his head next to hers. "I guess that's why Haven's so important, not just the place, but the ideology of unity that accompanies it." Ito mused, his eyes staring up at the stony ceiling. He felt admiration for Toma, despite the life she lived, she still managed to be the amazing person she was before him.

Ic: Ito nodded in acknowledgement at Toma's reply. "Before you embark on a journey of revenge, dig two graves." He said, his voice sounding hollow in the cave like hotsprings. Ito gave a deep sigh as she asked him about himself, blushing ferociously as she pressed her body against his, his eyelids flickering at the feeling of her bare body against his.

"Well, I was just one of billions in the world that was born into abject poverty." He began, a dark humor accompanying the statement. "My ma died shortly after she had me, which left me with my two brothers and father. I was the middle child, my little brother's name was Nobu and the older one's name was Omari." He introduced his family, a look of sadness in his eyes as his eyes roamed the wall in front of them. "We all had to contribute to the family financially, Omari worked at a music store, Nobu sold whatever he could, and he was damn good at it, too. He would have been a great businessman. And I, being the prodigy I am, pick pocketed. I was good at it, which drew my little brother towards it. I taught him how, we had a few good months, until he was caught." Ito's voice drifted off on the word caught.

"The innercity is governed by the Yakuza, which are much more violent and unforgiving than the police. So, they killed him." The sentence hung thick in the air before Ito continued. "And they took my father's right hand, and being the handyman he was, rendered him incapable of working. Because of this, I started robbing people between alleyways, breaking into people's homes, just being a menace to society. The Yakuza called me Phantom because they'd always hear about me but never catch me in the act. My brother eventually joined the Yakuza, and as a test of his solidarity with the group he was forced to extort my father & I for the government aid we were being provided for my pa's lost hand." Ito paused, putting an arm around Toma's naked shoulders before he continued. "And well, that's when I woke my ability. He had at us gun point, he had chosen himself over his family, I could understand this was his only way out of poverty, but we were his blood. I broke, and when I woke from the haze my brother had a bullet through his temple, bloodied and broken like Dr. Imichi but one thousand times over. And my dad, he was in the corner, sobbing, his body moving in every way it shouldn't." Ito's grip around Toma tightened as he realized this was one of the only times he'd talked about this with somebody else. "And then the Yakuza came for me, I left, with nothing, at the age of fifteen. Genex caught my scent as I ran from the Yakuza, doing odd jobs to send money back to my father. This game of cat and mouse lasted for years, until the Kyoto standoff, where Dr. Hayashi promised that if I allowed myself to be taken into custody that he would assure my dad was taken care of. And that was that, or at least most of it." Ito finished, breathing deeply as if he had just taken a one hundred pound weight off of his chest.

Ic: Ito closed his eyes, content flooding through him. "I know, and I'm here for you." He responded, his arm still around her as she got even closer still to him. The moment was broken by the large man who's footsteps drummed through the hotspring, to which Ito didn't respond to nicely. His eyes narrowed at the fat man throwing a tantrum before him. "Alright, if you insist." He agreed, kissing Toma on the cheek before his towel floated towards him. Ito began to cover himself up from the man's view, his backside momentarily visible to Toma before he tied the towel around his waist.

"What, you don't want to bathe with us? We're a couple of young, good looking people." Ito bragged sarcastically, putting a hand to his hip. "I want my hot spring, and I want it to myself, I know people here in Haven, I'm not a person to be messing with!" The man threatened, his voice loud and surprisingly shrill for a man of his size. "My apologies sir, I didn't realize I was talking to one of the landed elite, we'll be on our way." He grabbed Toma's towel, giving it to her to cover herself. "He's your hot spring back, sir." Ito added, his hand shooting forward towards the man.

A massive form of heated water shot from the springs, hitting the fat man like a bullet. It was as if someone had punched him, sending him tumbling backwards to fall on is rear with a thud. "We'll be going now." Ito remarked, bowing to Toma as he grabbed her hand to help her up, leading them to the locker room. He giggled once they made their way to the lockers, a devilish smile on his lips as he dropped his towel, revealing his cock as he fished for his clothes. He glimpsed at Toma, moving his thigh to hide the reaction that her petite yet busty frame gave him. He slipped on his clothes, his muscles much more loose than they had been. "That was a great idea." He noted, his hands playing with his hair to get it back to its semi usual look.

    Ooc:
Ic: Ito was laughing as Toma spoke, the surprised face of the man vivid in his memory. Feeling the presence of another person as the laughter subsided, Ito turned to see Lightning as Toma complained about her presence. Groaning in frustration, Ito turned his body to face Lightning.

"More training? Would it not be beneficial for us to have a break?" Ito complained, reluctantly trudging along behind her, Toma at his side. "What are we doing, anyways?" He asked, his interest piqued as they made their way through the dark hallways. There was no answer from Lightning. He asked again, and again there was no answer. They just continued to walk in silence towards their destination. Ito looked at Toma, a look of curiosity and worry on his face as they continued to wind through Haven. Eventually, Lightning came to a stop, the wall opened up to a massive cavern that was lit by flood lights. A woman in black sat on a crate, a clipboard in her hand. She looked up, her eyes gleaming at the two. "Today, you are going to be facing your worst fears." Lightning explained, walking towards the woman in black, turning to face the two of them. "This is Sumie, she'll be picking your brain and bringing your fears to life." Lightning added, a small smirk escaping her lips as she saw the distraught look on their faces.

Ito took in a deep breath, "What the hell is this?" he asked himself, scratching the back of his head.

Ic: Ito watched as Toma attempted to leave, only to have her path blocked by Aoi. Nodding his head in reluctance at the words Aoi spoke as she was shrugged off by Toma. "Wait, everyone gets to watch it? If anything is an intrusion of privacy, this would be it." Ito asserted, crossing his arms in passive defiance as he saw the tv sceen. "If you can't trust your teammates, who are you to be able to trust?" Was Aoi's response, patting him on the back. Ito's face turned into a scowl as the dust on the floor around him whirred into the air. He made his way towards the television as Lightning explained how it worked. "So, our worst fears and most private thoughts turn into reality television for the rest of us to enjoy." Ito grumbled under his breath as he watched Toma be hooked up. He looked on with worry, slightly curious as to what her worst fears might be. His gaze flicked to the television screen as Toma's eyes closed slowly. The screen turned on, an image of Toma being trapped in a whirlwind of fire and a blizzard of ashed revealed.

    Ooc:
Ic: Ito watched as Toma fought through her fears, realizing he had been instrumental in what she feared most. His right arm was wrapped around his stomach, his left parallel to his body as his fingers rested over his mouth. He watched as she struggled with the irrational guilt of not being there for her sister, her mother taunting her. The suddenly, she was up, and a sickening crack of bones was followed by Sumie being laid out onto the floor.

"What the hell, Toma?!" Aoi cried as she raced towards Sumie's body, her head now disfigured. Ito moved quickly towards Aoi to where Sumie laid. "We need to get her medical help, now." Ito uttered, squatting to observe her. Ito felt a momentary anger at Toma, but it died down quickly once he realized the evident hypocrisy. He looked up at Lightning, glaring. "See what the hell your experiments do? You're no better than Dr. Hayashi, you just thinly veil it with bullsh*t ideology and propaganda of revolution." Ito criticized with anger in his voice. He shot a look to Toma, who was enveloped in her shadows. "You take care of her." Aoi nodded her head towards the shadow demon.

Moving with swiftness, Ito timidly approached the orb of shadows. "Toma, it's okay. You were dreaming, hun. Just let me talk to you for a minute." Ito attempted to persuade her, genuine worry in his eyes as he got closer to the orb.

    Ooc:
Ic: "Oh, Toma." Ito mumbled, taking a seat next to her as the shadows disappeared. He wrapped his arms around her small frame, his head burrowing into her shoulder as he stared at the wall behind Toma. Blood began to get on Ito, but he didn't care. "shh, it's okay. You were just a child, Toma. There's no way it would have been stopped, anyways. It's your mother's fault, and you know that." He whispered into her ear. Ito didn't feel comfortable supporting an agenda of revenge, but it would be more constructive for Toma then her taking the blame for it.

"Your sister wouldn't blame you, she'd want you to do something about it." Ito added, his grip tightening in assurance. Medical teams entered the cavern, Lightning hanging back in silence as Sumie was lifted onto a gurney. Two medical team members cautiously made their way towards Ito and Toma. "We need to take care of your head, darling." Ito informed her, moving his body so she could see the medics.

    Ooc:
Ic: Ito took a deep breath as Toma realized her fear in his arms. He nodded reluctantly as she moved from the seat, asking for privacy. "If you need me, just come find me." He told her as she disappeared into the shadows. Ito sat there for a moment, looking at the ground as he sorted himself out.

He stood up, an adamant look in his eyes as he walked briskly towards lightning, his body surprisingly calm for how he felt. "So, are we good? Did you get what we need?" He asked her curtly, glaring. She looked at him condescendingly, as if he was a child. "No, Toma didn't pass and you haven't gone yet." She replied, her voice level. Ito looked at her in disbelief, his eyes narrowing.

"Let me make something perfectly clear, Lightning. I do not exist to be ordered around. I do not exist to adhere to an aristocrat, and neither does Toma. The irony that lies with Haven is that it's a structured system that fights for liberation by telling people what to do. Your ideology collapsed the second Aoi blocked Toma's way out of here." Ito articulated, intelligently sizing up against Lightning.

"How stupid are you, boy? Freedom in the purest sense will never exist in this world, and being a realist I thought you would understand that. The least we can do is allow mutants the opportunity to live their life as freely as possible, and Haven's by far the best option." Lightning responded curtly. Ito's gaze met Lightning's, a fire burning inside of him as he took a step closer to her. " Of course true freedom will never exist, but it's up to the individual to decide what they do. You want freedom, but you only want the freedom that you can define, the kind where you decide how much people get to decide." Ito spat out, anger in his eyes. "I will not bow to anyone, and I'm sure as hell not bowing to you. I will work for now, I will slavishly kill the enemies of Haven. But the minute I'm forced to comply when I refuse, we will have a problem." He warned, Lightning's face turning to stone as Ito stormed out of the cavern.

    Ooc:
Ic: Ito breathed raggedly, the cold air stinging his lungs. The air was brisk, and summer was transitioning to fall. Not as if it were particularly noteworthy to the people of Haven, who lived below Tokyo. Waiting silently in the foliage, Ito looked for Toma and Aoi in the treeline on the other side of the street. Spotting them, he gave a thumbs up to Shuji who was several feet to the side of him. Adjusting his hood, Ito began to speak into his earpiece.

"The transport motorcade should be coming through the pass soon, there ought to be a transport vehicle in the middle, likely a bus, and a guard vehicle in front and back of it. Toma will use her shadows to give us warning when they're coming around the bend. Once there, I'll bring down trees in front and behind them to block the way. From there, Bone Crusher will do her thing to the vehicle in back, and i'll take care of the one in front. Aoi, Shuji, you'll take care of the guards on the transportation bus. Once we acquire the mutants they're transporting, we'll take them to the specified extraction point." Ito outlined the plan, his gaze focused on the road. Strangely enough, Lightning had put him in lead of the squadron for this mission after Ito had scolded her during the nightmare experiment.

Aoi being the one typically in the lead, wasn't comfortable with it, but followed Lightning's orders nonetheless. Ito observed the forest environment that surrounded them. A rather narrow road ran between two cliff faces, both covered in thick tree lines. Mist hung in the air, lessening their visibility and making coordination difficult. Taking a deep breath, Ito waited anxiously for the motorcade.

    Ooc:
Ic: Ito nodded as Toma spoke into the earpiece, throwing a thumbs up to Shuji who rested on his stomach, aiming down the sites of a rifle. Within moments the lights of the vehicles appeared at the bend, two military grade humvees on either side of what looked like a prisoner bus. Standing up, Ito raised his arms as the vehicles made their way to the pass. Within moments, Toma was in the air, aiming for the vehicle in the back as Ito's hand flew downwards, two large trees groaning as they fell forward. Ito slid down the cliff face with speed. The trees crashed with a boom as he found his way to the street, the motorcade screeching to a halt. A man moved to get out of the front vehicle, but Ito was quick to react. Waving his hand to the side, Ito used his ability to slam the door shut on the man's leg, who cried out with a scream. The others began to get out, but Ito was raising his hands from his side, as if he were flipping an imaginary table.

The humvee was lifted in the air as it rolled to its side, thrashing the people inside of it. Ito made his way to the flipped over vehicle, his left hand forming the shape of a gun as he squatted down to look through the back window. What sounded like gun shots went off as Ito curled his thumb, aiming his 'pistol' at the people inside of the car to eliminate the threats. Ito turned towards the driver of the bus, who had seen what he did. The man's face was full of fear as Aoi and Shuji found themselves at the sides of the vehicle which held the mutants.

Ito's eyes widened in surprise as the bus started, racing towards him. Unfortunately, the space between the guard vehicles and had been rather large, giving the driver enough room to accelerate. Ito closed his eyes as the bus raced towards him, now only several yards away. He bent his knees, his left arm cocked back. He took a deep breath, the bus now only several feet away. A loud boom echoed through the forest as Ito shot his hand forward, a large indent suddenly appearing on the front of the bus, forcing it to come to a stop. Ito glared at the driver, his hand tightening into a fist as he pulled his arm back. The man broke through the windshield, falling hard with a sickening thud onto the asphalt. Ito walked forward casually, the doors on the side forcing themselves open to allow Ito to walk up the steps. He popped his head over the front seat, noticing the guards that lay dead in the back. Ito looked at it curiously, before seeing their shadows began to form themselves back into their original state.

"Thank you, Toma!" Ito shouted as he walked up the rest of the bus stairs, his eyes roaming as he counted the people. "16." He muttered under his breath. "WHO THE HELL ARE YOU?!" A middle aged man shouted, his eyes wide in confusion. "Hello sir, I'm Ito Matsuri, or Phantom if that sounds cooler, and on behalf of Haven, I am saving you from a life of painful experimentation and captivity." Ito flicked his finger, the emergency back door breaking clean off, screeching against the street as it slid. "Everyone, I know you are confused but you must move out of the back of the bus in single file order." Ito instructed, the people hurriedly rushing to the main aisle to get out of the vehicle. "Okay guys, there's sixteen so we'll take a group of four each and lead them back to extraction." Ito spoke over the earpiece, his hands motioning for people to hurry as he made his way to the back of the line.

    Ooc:
Ic: Ito watched in admiration as Toma finished off the truck of attackers. "Happy she didn't end up kicking my ass." He muttered as the last of the group made its way out, Ito regrouped with the team, attempting to avert his eyes as Toma jogged over towards them, her breasts jiggling in her shirt. Some type of feeling gnawed at Ito's gut, as if they were being watched. Nodding at Toma's instruction, Ito moved towards the group of people. "I need four people to come with me, if you wouldn't mind. If my charming good looks don't sell you though, I'm just a guy who likes reading romance novels, taking long walks on the beach, and just wants someone to care for me." Ito spoke to the crowd, a couple of nervous laughs breaking the tension. A female teenager, not much younger than Ito, stepped forward, her hands nervously playing with the skirt she had on, a blush to her face. Ito nodded, taking her hand to bring her near him as two people stepped up, the middle aged man that screamed at him on the bus, and a slightly pudgy man with thick glasses and a shirt that fit a little bit too tight.

Ito looked around the crowd, his eyes looking for a fourth. A small boy, no older than eight, found his way through the cluster of people, looking at Ito expectantly. "Come on little dude." Ito beckoned him forward, the boy cautiously approaching. "What's your name?" Ito asked him, resting on his haunches. "I-It's Ike." The boy answered, his eyes to the ground. "Well Ike, I know you're strong enough to take take care of yourself, but we're going to get you outta here. Here, take my hand." Ito instructed, putting his hand forward. Timidly grabbing Ito's hand with his small one, the boy yelped in fear as he was swooped up by Ito, suddenly sitting on his shoulders. "Okay, okay, we're good to go." He spoke to his group, who all looked distraught. He began walking North, the gut feeling returning and stronger than ever. "Be careful, guys, we're not out of the woods yet!" Ito emphasized woods as he called out to his team members, a smirk of self satisfaction on his face. Turning before he could see his friends roll their eyes, Ito began marching forward, his group following.

"Where are we going?" The pudgy one asked, his face scrunching together in skepticism at Ito as they began walking in foliage, heading ever deeper into the thick mist. "We are going to a place where you will be safe, my man. What's everyone's name?" Ito changed the subject quickly. As they walked Ito learned the school girl was Naomi, the nerdy one was Dai, and the middle aged man was Kazuki. "Well gang, we should be there-" Ito paused as he stopped dead in his tracks. They were rather far in the forest now, and the area Ito was in particularly misty, for North was the way the forest began to slope up to create the mountain that loomed over them. The group stopped as well, their eyes showing their worry as Ito looked around. "Let's pick up the pace, folk." Ito suggested, a cheery look on his face. Ito felt the boy on his shoulders tremble, his little fingers grabbing his thick black hair in fistfuls.

Then Ito sensed it, the shift in the field. Turning on a dime, he threw up his hand, a ball of fire aimed for Ike colliding with an invisible shield, sparks flying. Anger surged through Ito as he realized who the ball of flame was meant for Ike. "Move, now!" Ito ordered, the boy gripping him tighter as they began to run, a dark figure silhouetted by the mist moving towards them.

    Ooc:
Ic: Ito blushed viciously when Toma kissed him, and fought to gain control of himself before he left with his group...

The group was running now, running for their lives. Fire broke the curtain of mist, granting Ito and the others an occasionally clear view of the forest around them. Ito continuously threw his hand up, blocking the blasts of flame from harming anyone in his group. Ito looked at the closest person to him, the pudgy one. "What the hell's your ability?" Ito asked, his breath quick as they weaved through the forest. "I'm able to talk to computers, like hacking but with my mind." The man replied in between heavy breaths, his face red from effort. Grunting in dissatisfaction, Ito doubled his effort, now firing back shots of his own using his finger pistol.

"Ito!" The little boy shouted in surprise, a man landing in front of Ito. Without time to think, Ito weaved to the man's right, throwing a left hook at the man. Reinforced by his Telekinesis, Ito's fist ran through the man's chest like a knife through butter. Ike screamed as Ito pulled his hand out, moving even faster then before. "Ito!" He heard his name again, the school girl being surrounded by a man and a woman. Flicking his finger, Ito took the first one off balance as he raced towards the girl. Stomping his foot against the off kilter's one leg, Ito heard a sickening crack as the knee bone tore through the man's calf. Ito put his hand up and tightened it, the sickening sound again filling the air as the neck of the second hunter was broken, his body going limp. "Come on, miss." Ito instructed curtly, motioning for her to run.

His eyes fixed on the middle aged man, seeing him struggle with another hunter. "GET OFF OF ME!" Kazuki roared, spikes protruding from every pore of his skin. Cleanly impaling through the hunter, the spikes receded, and Kazuki was on the move again. "We're almost there, people!" Ito motioned for them to turn, a large cavern now in view. The fire had stopped, and that worried Ito dearly.

Ito stopped at the mouth of the cave, moving his torso to avoid a blast of flame behind him. Suddenly, the flame hurler emerged from the blackness of the thinned treeline behind the group. "Dai, take Ike and go into the cave, wait for me there. Kazuki, you're in charge." Ito shrugged the boy off his shoulders, giving him to the pudgy man as the mutants raced into the cave.

The two mutants squared off, Ito putting his hood on to hide his face as he glared at the man in front of him. Scars riddled the man's body, undoubtedly caused by experimentation. "Why are you fighting for them?" Ito asked, his fists tightening as he took a step forward. "They pay well." Was the man's response. Before Ito could process the reply, flames were hurtling towards him. Ducking, Ito was on the man in an instant, his elbow crashing into the man's cheek. "Sh*t!" Ito roared as the man stumbled back, his elbow turning a deep red. Bleeding from the mouth, the man smirked sadistically as Ito discovered his body was naturally hot. "You'll have to do harder than that." The man warned, hurling more fire at Ito.

    Ooc:
Ic: The minutes to began to pass by, Ito ducking and weaving between blasts of flame, subconsciously avoiding getting to close to the hunter. Ito formed a pistol with his hand, firing off Telekinetic bullets at the flaming man. One hit, grazing his left thigh, a shrill and surprised yelp coming from him in response. Using the time it gave him, Ito got closer, closing his eyes as he focused on the particles around the man. "Ike, close your eyes!" Was Ito's words as light began to appear around the hunter...

Blood splattered everywhere, the man's upper torso utterly devastated by Ito's particle combustion. "Looks like we weren't so equally matched after all." Ito grunted, using his rain jacket's sleeve to wipe the blood off of his face as the flaming man began to chuckle hoarsely, the contents of his stomach visible grotesquely. "I'm a martyr." The man informed Ito, who's eyes opened wide in acknowledgement. Throwing his hands down, Ito barely had time to put a sphere around the flaming man as he exploded. The force of the explosion was too great, breaking through the Telekinetic barrier and sending Ito soaring backwards. He hit the rocky floor with a thud, the front of his body stinging in pain. "Ito, there's more." Kazuki spoke, stepping from the cavern to help him up.

Looking up, Ito saw a line of people with rifles break from the mist, and another line with blades and melee weapons flanking them. "This is no good." Ito muttered, wiping blood from his lip as he stepped forward, Kazuki at his side. "We need to work out a plan. Naomi, what's your ability?" Ito asked, his mind racing for a solution. "I-I'm able to create illusions, make people see things that aren't there." She responded. Ito gave a wolfish smile, happy despite the insurmountable odds. "There's got to be thirty or forty of them!" Dai noted, a look of fear on his face as they approached slowly.

"Okay group, I'll take front, Kazuki I need you with Naomi to make sure she's safe while she works, Dai, take Ike farther back into the cave. And Naomi, I need you to put something together that makes them think we're not here." Ito instructed the group with precision, his eyes glowing as he heard the firearms click, safety's coming off. The group followed his instructions quickly, looking at the line of people.

The line of fire rang through the forest, disorienting Ito's sense of hearing as he threw his hands up, his eyes now burning bright. The bullets stopped in midair, and eyes squinted in concentration, Ito turned the bullets back towards the rifle line. Speeding back, the bullets dug into the majority of people with rifles, now only three or four riflemen standing. They opened fire almost immediately, and Ito was quick to wave the bullets in alternate directions. A sword swung for Ito's neck, who promptly leaned back to avoid a swing, his body at an angle most people would fall at. Rising from the lean, Ito's fist met the person's stomach, followed by a combo of boxing like strikes that sent them falling to the floor.

Grabbing the sword from his first attacker, Ito now began to swing wildly, his unorthodox style unpredictable and frighteningly fast. The katana like sword cut through enemies cleanly as they worked to find a way past Ito's defense. Even the spot that looked like they were open would ultimately be guarded by his Telekinesis, blades glancing off of some invisible barrier. This went on for some time, Ito never missing a beat. Kazuki ended up approaching him, aiding in his side thrusting and bearhugging people with his spikes. The hunters would stop suddenly, scratching their heads wondering where they were, thanks to Naomi, giving Ito or Kazuki ample time to tear through them.

Minutes passed, blood was spilled, the screams of enemies filling the air as Kazuki and Ito obliterated the enemies. Ito looked around expectantly, absolutely covered in blood, waiting for his next opponent. None came, for they all lay on the floor around him. Breathing raggedly, Ito moved towards the cavern, a distraught look on his face. He never enjoyed killing, in fact he despised it, and what had just occurred was a blatant massacre. "Let's go." He grunted to the group, who looked at the once cheery young man with timid fear as they followed him. The cave system was dark, and aggravating. Winding their way through, sloping down gradually, Ito finally managed to get the group to a hallway leading to haven. "Take that tunnel forwards and you'll be met by people of Haven, tell them you're the objective of the Nightingale mission and they should be able to find where you need to go." Ito informed them, a distant look in his eyes. "Thank you, mister." Ike spoke to Ito, giving him a cute little bow before he started walking down the hallway with Dai. Each person gave their thanks, Ito being cautiously distant with Naomi in fear of Toma. "We'll meet again soon, Kazuki." Ito told him, patting him on the shoulder with a smile.

Once the group had left, Ito collapsed in the hallway, his back to the rocky wall as tears began to fall. Quietly, Ito sobbed, broken from what he just had to.

    Ooc:
Ic: Ito winced as they light from Haven appeared around the bend of the tunnel. He had been in the North hallway entrance for quite a long time, processing what had occurred. People looked at him curiously as he showed his ID to the guards, who promptly unlocked the steel fence that acted as a gate. "All 16 made it back, and the team will regroup with them at the Center Square." Aoi spoke to the Nightingales through the earpiece. Uncomfortable with the dried blood that caked him, Ito decided it a good idea to stop at the apartment and shower.

He sighed in satisfaction as he shut the apartment door behind him, now dressed in something rather presentable, and more importantly, he wasn't covered in blood. His mind was full of different thoughts and emotions as he walked towards the Center Square of Haven. He hadn't been there many time, only walking through it to training or something of the sorts. Ito was surprised at the vastness of it once he reached an opening that led to it. Buildings were sprawled throughout a colossus cavern, some of them shockingly high for being underground. The ceiling was covered in some type of blue growing algae that provided the whole thing with dim light. However, the streets had lights of their own that brightened the area around them. "It literally is an underground city." Ito muttered as he made his way towards the center of it, observing the skyline.

As he walked, Ito's attention was caught by some sort of coffee shop. With haste, Ito entered, leaving momentarily with a capped coffee cup in his hands, whether or not he paid for it was unclear. He sipped the coffee, his eyes fluttering in pleasure. Within minutes, Ito found himself at the Center Square, Ike waving at him from atop a balcony that the others were at. In essence, Center Square was a truly massive building that rose from the ground into the ceiling, supposedly continuing on as a skyscraper in Tokyo, but nobody was sure. It acted as the base operations for most Haven missions, and is where a good part of training for Ito had occurred. Each floor held a different them, or purpose, and Ito noted how Ike and the others were atop a balcony on the second floor, the introduction center.

Lifting from the floor, Ito avoided the stairs all together, floating up to the balcony. Landing quietly, Ito was greeted by the members of the group he had taken, smiles on their faces. Aoi and Shuji were there as well, Toma assumed to be there any minute, and Lightning in the background speaking with people Ito didn't recognize.

    Ooc:
Ic: Ito's eyes flicked over to where Toma appeared, his evidently surprised as she dropped the girl in front of them. Battered and bruised, the girl looked like she had gone through hell, and Toma looked rather proud. Deducting the situation with ease, Ito tossed a thumbs up in approval as Aoi and Shuji marveled at Toma's feat. His teammates words only asserted his deduction as they tied the woman up.

Toma's words to him struck a chord, Ito pausing a moment before nodding his head in silence. He was grateful he had her around, but wasn't sure how comfortable he felt telling talking to her about it. His whole agenda since the Kyoto standoff was to be selfless, to help others. He thought not harming people was intrinsic with that, but he had realized people needed to be hurt for others to be safe, and it caused havoc inside of him. "What makes what I do more utilitarian then what others do?" The thought bounced around Ito's mind, seemingly unanswerable.

Taking a deep drink of his coffee, Ito cleared his mind temporarily. Moving to his group, Ito was met with smiles and greetings. "So, I'm still not sure entirely what this place is." Dai had informed him, looking around in awe. "Well, it's a haven for people like us, considered mutants, abnormal. It's a refugee for those who are hunted and ostracized from society by groups like Genex, which is the one we saved you from." Ito replied, a smile on his face as he realized how far he'd gone the past two weeks. He'd been exactly where they were now. "Did those people ever capture you?" Naomi asked, curiosity building in the group as she asked. Ito was slow to respond, "Yeah... I was. I was in captivity for a year, they did horrible things, things which inspired me to help people." Ito responded, a distant look in his face. Grunting in alarm, Ito looked down to see the little boy, Ike, hugging him by the legs. His surprise melted into a warm smile, patting the boy's head as he squatted to his eye level. "I know this is tough, but it's much better then what was going to happen to you earlier today. I'll be there whenever you need me, not that you would. The people here are great." Ito gave him a smile, high fiving him as he stood himself back up.

"As for the rest of you, the situation is the same. I'll be there whenever you need someone, and that includes when you feel the need to talk to someone. Not many things are more difficult then re-acclimating to a new environment. You all did good today, I'm proud of you." Ito spoke to the group, his eyes gleaming.

    Ooc:
Ic: "That is of course if you choose to stay, nobody's forcing you to stay here." Ito spoke hurriedly, feeling guilty that he made the assumption. A couple of them laughed, Kazuki responding with a smile, "Of course we'll stay, it's not as if there is an alternative. Besides, us being captured by those people only shows how lousy we are fending for ourselves." Ito laughed in response, the cheery look returning to his face. "Well, we'll get ya settled, just consider this to be another part of Tokyo. I'll be in much more danger if I don't go talk to her, though." Ito smiled, nodding his head at Toma as he made his way away from them, blushing slightly as they called out their thanks once again.

Catching her statement, Ito leaned on the rail next to Toma, looking at the hidden metropolis before him. "It really is. Who knew there were so many of us out there. There must be thousands of them down here." Ito speculated, the city's glow reflecting in his eyes as he turned his head to look at Toma. "You're gorgeous, did I ever tell you that?" He asked her seriously in a low tone as he looked at her. Her snow white hair blew slightly in the breeze, her teal eyes full of intelligence, pride, and mystery. Toma was like a puzzle Ito would never be able to solve, which only made him want her all the more.

    Ooc:
Ic: Ito chuckled as she said he could mention it more often. He blushed as Toma returned the compliment, shifting her body on the rail to be closer to him. Ito met her ocean teal eyes, a devilishly seductive look in them. "Damn right you could." He muttered under his breath, shifting his weight to face her as she had done with him. The tug at his tie brought them closer, Ito could hear her breathing and her heartbeat, which drummed in her chest quickly. Despite the mission, Toma's aroma was sweet, like mint mixed with cherry blossoms. He moved his hand, placing it on her curvy hip as he closed the distance between them, their foreheads now touching. As he looked into her eyes, Ito fought for the words that described the moment, that described how he felt. "I love you." He whispered to her, the faint sound of the city below them now virtually tuned out as Ito's lips pressed against hers, butterflies filling his stomach as his mind was overloaded with passion. This wasn't lust, this was love. Her lips were soft and comforting, her tongue lightly teasing. His hand had moved to her cheek, cupping her jaw ever so gently as he lost himself in the moment with the woman he loved.

    Ooc:
Ic: The moment was too perfect, Ito never wanted to leave Toma. As she deepened the kiss, Ito's arms found themselves around her hips, her fragrance overwhelming his sense of smell. He fought to control himself as their lips interlocked, the occasional tease of Toma's tongue surprising him. The faint sound of the city began to return as Toma broke contact, Ito momentarily looking at her lips, yearning for more. He felt like he was melting in her arms as she replied, his golden eyes looking into her teal ones. He didn't know what to say, a surge of joy rolled through his body as he watched the snow haired girl. Her eyes closed, a blinding smile forming on her full lips as Ito responded with a crooked smirk. At that moment, Ito knew he never wanted to leave Toma's side. His cheeks felt red hot as his body positioned itself to face the city again, one arm still slung around Toma as he returned to watching the lights, his jawline still defined by the dim bluish green light of the city. A cold breeze rushed through the cavern, nipping at Ito's face as he took a deep breath, grateful that he had to decided to talk to Toma on her first day at the institution.

He recalled the first time he had seen her, the mysterious snow haired girl with one too many secrets hidden away behind her greeting yet warning teal eyes. In all honesty, Toma hadn't changed for Ito. She was still that enigma that refused to become clear, and he loved her all the more for it. He tilted his head, resting it on hers as they watched the underground city exist in near silence. "I can't believe how far we've come in such little time." Ito noted in a deep, hushed tone, his voice nearly being carried away by the cool breeze. Never did Ito he think that this was where he would be, watching a hidden city beneath Tokyo with a woman of shadows in his arms. Tears welled up in his eyes, gleaming from the city light.

    Ooc:
Ic: Ito gazed down at the city, a reminiscent look in his eyes as Toma spoke about their experiences. Ito's breath slowed as Toma snuggled into him, her arms wrapping around his torso. He knew that something would happen to ruin the moment, but for now he was content on watching the city with Toma. Toma's word snapped Ito out of the moment as he looked up at him, telling him people were staring. He stood there a moment longer, her added words giving him incentive to move. He turned on his heel, moving to say his goodbyes to his new friends before leaving for the apartment.

"Alright guys, I'm calling it a day. I'm tired from saving your asses." Ito joked as he slid through the glass doors that led from the balcony to the interior of the building's floor. "Will we see you again?" Naomi asked, her eyebrow raising in question. Ito nodded, smiling at the group before he answered her. "Yeah, you will! It's not as if you won't have any free time for anything ever. We'll meet up again soon, do something fun that doesn't involve fighting for our lives." The group chuckled, and Ito said his last few goodbyes to them. "Later buddy, i'll be there if you need me." Ito said to Ike, the small boy hugging Ito before he left. "Good work today guys." Ito complimented Shuji and Aoi, who smiled back returned the kind words. Taking a deep breath, Ito waited for Toma silently, who seemed to be wrapping up with her group as well.
