It was so sudden. For the girl, the moment seemed infinite, and yet it really was so sudden. Before she knew it she had been attacked. The smell hit her nose the moment his paws did, and his face registered the second she hit the ground.
At first she felt a lot of emotions; angry, scared, confused. But the last emotion she felt before the back out was apprehension. She cowered into the blackness, wanting to hide from the one she knew would be waiting in the daylight. She relished in the unconsciousness, finding peace in the idea that she wouldn't have to face it.
What happened next would remain a mystery.
At dusk she would be seen stumbling a few steps away from what looked like a body. Hal was scratched up, her fur soaked in both her own and his blood. Her eyes were weary. And yet, for how bad of a state she was in, he was worse off somehow.
He looked like he had been set on fire and dropped from the island; he was unrecognizable, with his body being shattered and charred. Whatever had happened to Halokit's attacker had left him dead or close to it. Many would wonder exactly what had happened, Halokit included.
But now was not the time for curiosities.

Halokit had a general idea of what had happened. She had the idea in her brain that her immortal self had taken over completely, blocking her new self out and leaving her wondering what had happened. One half of her soul took over and killed her attacker. A wonderful question was which half? Demonic or angelic?
As Tama and Breadstick both asked if she was alright, she glanced up, mutely shaking her head at them. She was hurt. She wasn't okay. She showed Tama her cuts and motioned at her broken bones and limp as she came to a stop.

Halokit spotted the new comer's reaction to throw charred remains and felt her throat catch. She didn't want that reaction from her clanmates. She loved this place too much. It was self defense, though, so maybe they would understand. The thoughts battled back and forth as she listened.
When she was addressed once more her green gaze fluttered to Breadstick. The kit took a solid minute to register what he had asked, the memory flashing through her mind behind her distraught gaze. Finally she shook her head, slowly. Her tongue still didn't seem to be working, as she couldn't seem to make the words in her brain translate to speech.

Halokit listened silently. It was a weird idea, that was for sure. But she found the whole thing quite fascinating, really. It was a way to change the world, or at least try. Although she was sure there would be more evil people in the future. She didn't think it'd make them go away, but it could make a small difference.
It wasn't until Storm spoke that she lifted her head. The girl turned her gaze to the older male, her green eyes bemused. "Tama said she wouldn't allow anyone to be harmed. We wouldn't be torturing or killing; we'd be treating them. Making them better people. A lot of the Exilers must have mental issues. Maybe if we helped them then they'd see how wrong they are. It's a long shot, but it's worth a try in my opinion." she answered. For once her rambling wasn't random or misplaced. It was sure, it was informed. Opinionated.

Hal, who still hadn't spoken since the incident with the loner, listened from the back, green eyes staring almost blankly at Tama. She didn't look so good at the moment. Her fur had taken to looking ruffled, and her body was covered in bandages. She had obtained quite a few small scratched and a few burns during the attack. She was also swollen from broken bones in some areas. This meeting held very little interest to the girl who just wanted to try to get herself back to normal.

Halokit's emerald gaze shifted from the spot she'd been staring at up to her father. She had missed him immensely, although she wasn't sure how to tell him what was wrong. Her jaws wouldn't work, wouldn't form the words. She was, for the moment, silent. He would know something was wrong when she didn't speak, and Tama's question drove that further.
She turned to the leader, giving a small shrug of her shoulders. Her lips didn't move except to roll back between her teeth, and aside from a small sigh no sounds escaped her. Her gaze followed Tama's fleeting glance to Sousuke. Her eyes fell to her paws. What could she say? He'd find out eventually, and wouldn't be happy. She should tell him. And yet she still remained silent.
