[size=10][font=georgia]Hunting was a skill that even fairly young children seemed to pull of with relative ease. It just seemed like instinct- something your brain was hardwired into knowing how to do from the moment you were born. At least, for other people. It didn't come to Kane that easily. In fact, it wasn't coming to him at all- no matter how hard he tried, he'd seen little or no improvement in his hunting skills. What could take others only an hour or two to hunt took him an entire day with little breaks. On the inside, he knew that practicing on his own and trying to teach himself how to do it wouldn't get him very far, but he felt too embarrassed to ask for help. Sure, he'd gotten tons of help on improving his hockey skills, but that seemed different, somehow. Hockey wasn't something everyone knew how to do, it wasn't a basic thing you needed to know if you wanted to survive.

The canine had caught scent of a rabbit and was tailing it. He made sure the wind was blowing towards him, not the prey- that he knew. Due to his bad stance, his footsteps were loud and rather the clumsy, and the rabbit managed to easily hear this and dart away before he had any chance of even coming close to catching it. Patrick sighed- how the hell do people do this so easily?

Kane wasn't sure if defense would be his forte. After all, he was a forward, and he'd gotten nailed a few more times than he'd like to admit. The canine padded over, quietly seating himself so as not to distract anyone from the session that had seemingly already started.
