Summary
The world is one full of gods, each god is seperated into one of two categories, Fundamental or Supplementary.
Fundamental gods have existed for as long as the concept they stand for exists, while supplementary gods were created as the mortals believed them to exist. All gods have a primary animal form, which is usually an amalgam of several different animals, their base form, which is a pure energy version, a human, to blend in with the mortals, though often retaining an animal quality, and the ability to shift their forms for a limited amount of time to any animal in existence.
History
Most gods have not existed long, only as long as sentient life, except for Balance, Instability, Life, Death, and Time. Those five were nothing more than energy that watched over a promising planet teeming with life and magic. The watched the dinosaurs go extinct and didn't lift a hand go help, after all what use did they serve the gods? They watched the rise of mammals. Watched as Homo Sapien first evolved, and with that a new god was born. Sentience. The gods were amazed as they took in the god, realizing what had happened. These once apes were intelligent and progressed along, spurning new gods as new ideologies and things became present with in them. The first five were amazed and for the first time created a form to walk amongst these humans, to interact and get to know them, to watch them build their structures. It was incredible.
But then new gods popped up as each civilization created gods and stories of how the world began. The 'true' gods were confused, but still welcomed these gods. But these new gods were pompous and refused to acknowledge their elders, believing them to be false gods. The elder gods were confused and distanced themselves and watched as these new gods faded as their worshippers died. The gods realized their differences and created categories, Fundamental and Supplementary.
Fundamental Gods were the gods that would persist, while Supplementary where the gods that sprang up in each religion. With that, the fundamentals blended with humans while supplementaries came and went like seasons.
Plot
So this here charrie is Balance the god of Balance, well partly. Her soul was fragmented when she and the god of Instability got into a major fight and now she only has a small fragment of her soul, the part that deals with logical solutions. She usually wondered group to group, coldy watching how each one works until she finally settled down. Which is where you characters will come in!
They all think Instability killed Balance and that Bal is a mortal blessed by their 'sister, or a reincarnation at best when they meet here, they don't know that Bal is their Balnce, besides her soul being fragmented. Everyone will eventually end up in one clan and they'll realize that Bal, is their Bal and try to help her. But Ball will be stubborn, and distrustful of them because she believes they're only doing this so they can use this as leverage since much of her emotions are gone she see that as the only logical point.
Instability Specifically Plot
Your character will be taking the helm of God of instability, they think they have accidentally killed Balance, and so they now wander around in their animal form as they are engulfed in grief. They stumble across Bal in The Skulls and think that Bal is the reincarnation as her animal form is near identical to her old form. The only differences are her eyes, the form's age, and the lack of her other animal parts. Instability decides to try and make it up to the 'reincarnation' not know that it really is Bal herself, just her soul is fragmented so she's not at full power. So Bal is continuely trying to distance herself from your charrie while they try to get closer, and once chosen we can discuss exactly what'll happen as I have three general ideas what could happen 1) Bal snaps and tells instability the truth and tries to get them to leave her alone, frustrated at how they already ruined her life 2) Bal eventually lets Instability in and tells them the truth, instability doesn't take it so well, accusing Bal of playing them and they get in another fight, Balance ending up losing 3) Bal forgives Instability and they both become friends again, they get close and end up in a relationship and your character helps with finding the rest of Bal's soul.
