[justify][size=8]tabula rasa - the epistemological idea that individuals are born without built-in mental content and that therefore all knowledge comes from experience or perception. and therefore, the experience that stonepup was currently facing would transform a bit of him. for him, the sights, smells, and noises were a bit too much of a sensory overload for him. he felt like he was being blinded, darkness swirling at the edges of his mind.
the marble kitsune's coat was soft, softer than what the sculptor who created him would like it to be. but it was no matter, after all, he had been just born and usually, when a kit was born their coat was rather wet and soft. this time was crucial for the stone kitsune, his sculpted figure was rather weak, the veins in the marble not yet hardened therefore, making it quite easy to take advantage of at this moment.
it was rather tiring, but the single-tailed kitsune knew it must find it's way to it's mother as hunger pains streaked across his belly and started to give him a vicious headache that shouted at him. if he didn't eat soon, he didn't know what would happen to him and he didn't want to find out. the blinding sensation was still there, since there were more animals crowding around him, his siblings, and his mother. because of this, he stayed quiet, he would turn out to be a rather quiet child after all. now he had to turn back at the mission at hand: find his mother and feed. making small progress, the marble kitsune would slowly pull himself up to his mother with both paws.
once he finally made it to his mother, he would suckle with a fierce determination as hunger overtook his senses. he put a single paw that knocked against his mother's belly several times, asking for more milk. however, once he got his fill, he popped off his mother and a small burp emitted from his mouth, signifying that he was satisfyingly full. he lied on his stomach and curled up closer to the warmth of his mother. he drifted off to sleep, the swirling darkness fully overtaking his mind.
from a distance, it would appear that the stone kitsune would be acting on only instinct, and it was partially true. for the kitsune made of stone had considered his other options first. he wouldn't remember any details of the birthing, of course. since memories don't form after the first few months, he would be constantly forgetting things. but, this would mark the beginning of something great, the stone kitsune could feel it.
