[fancypost bgcolor=transparent; bordercolor=transparent; borderwidth=1px; width: 400px;]Cosmo hadn't meant to stay for so long; he tried to split his time evenly between the two clans. He spent most of his evenings back at the Rift, while he stayed with Bloodclan in the mornings. The schedule sometimes flipped and changed, but he tried to keep to it.
But it'd been so quiet, and so peaceful; the quiet snoring of his clanmates lulling him into a dreamless sleep. But then he'd woken up and realized his mistake when he noticed the millions of twinkling stars coldly gazing down on him.
He liked the night sky; it was quiet and overwhelming and comforting. He could get lost by following the light of a thousand dead stars. But he had to keep his eyes on the ground, on the reality that so brutally dragged him down.
He had to check on Dia, make sure she was okay; he had to check on Morning and set up another training lesson; he had to make sure Winterkit was okay and her wound was clean.
It was too much sometimes, but Bloodclan was a nice escape. Bloodclan was the ocean and the Rift was the shore; the ocean was comforting but cold and endless, and the shore was solid and replaceable but there were so many jagged rocks waiting for him.
Deep in thought, he only noticed the other person when they jumped to their paws. He leaped back with a hiss, wings flaring open to make him appear bigger.[/fancypost]
