    "good."

    the response came immediately, her tone matching the toms. her gaze seemed to darken almost immediately, and her eyes never moved off of him as she stopped. she stopped the rabbir, pressed some snow over it's body. she never removed her gaze from his frame.

    "you think i want to be wanted? i'm not exactly the hearts and hugs type, if that wasn't obvious. shouldn't you be in bed, you're an apprentice, you've got training." it wasn't an order, or even a question. just an observation.

    her brows quirked then, and her expression was that of a much older feline listening to a kit tale, faking surprise and concealing an almost sad amusement at the innocence.

    "you think i wanted him? i didn't. i was a child myself, i didn't want any of this. if i had it my way, i'd still be curled up in a nest listening to quietstars stories. you must be more immature then i thought, adderpaw, if you're incapable of realizing that life happens. not everything is in our control." she told him with a snort, flicking her ear. "if i'd have known how he would have turned out, i would have swallowed the tansy. but neither one of us could tell the future.

    "blaming me for what happened to sheogorath is like blaming you for what happened to mangledheart, adderpaw. you didn't stop your mentor from being captured by bloodclan."

    fight fight fight
    [sheogoraths roleplayer uses a different aging ratio for sheo then i do for paley!]

    [align=center][fancypost bgcolor=none; bordercolor=transparent; borderwidth=0px; width: 400px;font-size:8pt;line-height: 180%;][justify]

    that would be so cute! she's pretty terrible herself lol, there was a plot about it a while back but the character was dropped
    who should make??

    [align=center][fancypost bgcolor=none; bordercolor=transparent; borderwidth=0px; width: 400px;font-size:8pt;line-height: 180%;][justify]

    palemoon felt... conflicted. honestly, the feline was half tempted to not even show up at the gathering - but she couldn't shy away. she was a thunderclanner now, just the same as the blood that ran through her bones. really, she was a cocktail of the clans. but blood meant nothing. blood was a pulpy liquid that pulsed through her veins and little more.

    she moved in with the thunderclanners, behind adderstar. her fur was well groomed and spotless as it always was, a shiny as the clan she'd been raised in. she sat with thunderclanners, she bore the same expressions as the thunderclanners. the feline looked as emotionless and content as ever, though those slate gray eyes strayed over to cobiapaw, her former apprentice, and to cougartail, the female who she both liked, for the moons they'd been friends, and hated, for reasons that weren't her fault.

    she hated cugartail being deputy. not because of envy - palemoon was far too young, too fiery. no, she hated it because smokebreath should have still been deputy. quietstar should have been leader still. it all should have stayed the same.

    truth be told, no amount of battles and blood on her claws could have prepared palemoon for being an orphan again.

    so she sat, patiently waiting for the meeting to begin, or someone to say something to her.

    [align=center][fancypost bgcolor=none; bordercolor=transparent; borderwidth=0px; width: 400px;font-size:8pt;line-height: 180%;][justify]

    palemoon had been about to leave for a solo hunting patrol, as were all of her hunting patrols, when she heard the fem's call. halting half-outside of the entrance, the feline resisted sighing and turned around, taking a seat beside the entrance to watch before going back out.

    [align=center][fancypost bgcolor=none; bordercolor=transparent; borderwidth=0px; width: 400px;font-size:8pt;line-height: 180%;][justify]

    perhaps she wasn't a leader, or a deputy, or a medicine cat, and technically, she should have kept her mouth shut. but palemoon was a mother, and the last two alive were the polar opposites. an angel from the paws of starclan, pansypaw was a mothers dream, albeit some medical difficulties. and sheogorath had turned into something... worse. like he'd said, sheokit had died on his way to bloodclan. this thing, it wasn't her child anymore.

    "that isn't a good reason." the warrior spat from where she sat, heat blazing in the big gray eyes. "you had children, butterflypaw. you made your choice in the middle of the act. what you did, then, was promise to love them and feed them and raise them. you promised them before they were even born that you'd give up your life for them. and when they came to life, you selfishly chose yourself before them. i raised a bloody antichrist, and yet i still chose him over me.

    "adderstar's right, you're sick. a medicine cat is a mother to her clan, and if you couldn't mother a couple of kits, you couldn't possibly do anything useful for this clan."

    [align=center][fancypost bgcolor=none; bordercolor=transparent; borderwidth=0px; width: 400px;font-size:8pt;line-height: 180%;][justify]

    palemoon's gaze settled on a famliar face, and for a moment, she wondered if she was angry with aspenpaw. but the feline hadn't changed much in the past few moons, hadn't been any source of turmoil, so the warrior smiled instead.

    "hello aspenpaw," she greeted with an emotionless tone, a hint of warmth in her gaze. "very well, thank you. they're... very kind, for the most part. but every rose has it's thorns, yes? adderstar warmed me with a kindness that... well, the last time i received it was when quietstar took me in.

    "how has riverclan been?"

    [align=center][fancypost bgcolor=none; bordercolor=transparent; borderwidth=0px; width: 400px;font-size:8pt;line-height: 180%;][justify]

    the words hit her like a rock, straight through her chest and into her heart. alice, no... she choked at the thought, the thought of dee, of sheogorath. how could they... she knew it wasn't a hit at her, they weren't smart enough for that, but it burned just as well.

    she sucked in a breath, forced herself to focus on aspenpaw, on the situation at hand. "thank you aspenpaw, i'll see what i can do. has smokebr- star, has he tried to send a rescue party?" starclan help him if he hasn't...

    [align=center][fancypost bgcolor=none; bordercolor=transparent; borderwidth=0px; width: 400px;font-size:8pt;line-height: 180%;][justify]

    it was almost reminiscent of a certain night that had changed her life forever. she was hot and angry, charging into bloodclan territory with her usual confidence, hips swaying and gray eyes narrowed. she was a huntress on the prowl, but her prey wouldn't be killed.

    alice, oh alice, i'm coming for you sweetie... she prayed the medicine cat was still in good health. she'd made her decision, to find dee. she'd beg him, plead with him. try to make him see reason, offer to trade her life for her friends. she had all of the felines knowledge, and the added addition of being a willing punching bag. she wouldn't feel it, after all.

    [align=center][fancypost bgcolor=none; bordercolor=transparent; borderwidth=0px; width: 400px;font-size:8pt;line-height: 180%;][justify]

    as the deputy seemingly materialized before her, palemoon turned her pale glare to meet his own icy gaze, flicking an ear. any other time, and she might have returned the moon, the flirtation, pulled at the strings of seduction. but she was a woman on a mission, not to be deterred by some handsome deputy with a charming smile.

    "i want her back dee." she said, tone firm, squaring her shoulders. she was still smaller than the tom, albeit the same height, posessing a thinner frame. "i left riverclan, i'm in thunderclan now, but alice is still my best friend. i'd still die for her. so give her back, i'll even trade. shockingly enough, there's quite a few people that might miss me. or just turn me into some sort of slave. i don't care, so long as alice isn't hurt."

    [align=center][fancypost bgcolor=none; bordercolor=transparent; borderwidth=0px; width: 400px;font-size:8pt;line-height: 180%;][justify]

    the feline felt her jaw tense as she eyed the tom, trying not to show her shock. sister? it certainly wasn't... far fetched. upon closer inspection, the tom did resemble her best friend in his own way. but the thought of him willingly having the fem as a prisoner made her sick. but what could she do? time had disintegrated the best of her connections, and she had no army to gather.

    "who's care is she under? who has access to her?" she demanded, beginning to circle him, not in a threatening way but because she needed to pace and was unwilling to lose sight of him, sight of whether or not he was telling the truth.

    "sheogorath can't... be near her. you and i both no that our son isn't the best of the cats." she said, a sigh escaping her lips. "you know, when he was small, he used to bring me frog eyes. i... i should have seen, then, that he was too similar to my father.

    "i need to make sure alice is okay, dee. she's the only family i have left, i've known her since i was a small, bumbling fool. she's always been there for me, always there with me. it's my fault that she became a medicine cat, you know. that her shoulder didn't heal right. if i don't protect her, then who will?" she'd told herself plenty of times that alice didn't need her to take care of her. but, in truth, alice might not; she just needed someone to take care of, to have a mutual dependency with. and with the loss of her children, and her father, alice was the last string to cling to.

    [align=center][fancypost bgcolor=none; bordercolor=transparent; borderwidth=0px; width: 400px;font-size:8pt;line-height: 180%;][justify]

    paley miiight be leaving for a bit lmao
    i feel bad moving her so much, but she's got to swindle her way to bloodclan for a while lmao

    [align=center][fancypost bgcolor=none; bordercolor=transparent; borderwidth=0px; width: 400px;font-size:8pt;line-height: 180%;][justify]

    for the longtime members of bloodclan, palemoon was perhaps a familiar sight in the city. as a kit, she'd split her days between bloodclan and riverclan; she'd been one of the few sympathizers. few remembered the days when she fought avidly for their equality, when she'd brought them to sunningrocks to fight thunderclan, when she'd left the gathering with them.

    few remembered the days when she'd been palepaw, when her father had led and she'd had the city to do as she pleased in.

    more remembered redwater. when she'd run away, when she'd joined clearwater. when she'd grown to hate quietstar and sheogorath, her fathers. they remembered her mothering dee's children, mothering sheogorath, the distance she'd put between herself and the clan.

    she still loved the city. loved the warm pavement, the rush of wind as cars whizzed to and fro. she loved the sushi and the kfc, she loved training without restraints. she loved the scars she bore beneath her fur from training sessions without sheathed claws. she could have thrived on this side of the border. perhaps this was where she belonged; she'd never been kind enough for the clans, she'd always had a bigger picture view of life.

    the feline walked in the city with confidence, a sway in her hips as she waited for someone to approach.

    [align=center][fancypost bgcolor=none; bordercolor=transparent; borderwidth=0px; width: 400px;font-size:8pt;line-height: 180%;][justify]

    i'm pretty sure she's gonna be back
    eventually
    but atm she needs to chill in bloodclan
    partially to keep an eye on her captured best friend
    partially to try to make some new allies
    and partially to figure out her feelings for dee lmao

    [align=center][fancypost bgcolor=none; bordercolor=transparent; borderwidth=0px; width: 400px;font-size:8pt;line-height: 180%;][justify]

    [align=center][fancypost bgcolor=none; bordercolor=transparent; borderwidth=0px; width: 400px;font-size:8pt;line-height: 180%;][justify]
    so paley here is my most developed character ever, and very near and dear to my heart. the basics are:

    she's currently a bloodclanner, but was raised in riverclan, clearwater, and thunderclan. she's visited every clan, however, and the moonstone twice.
    she's ten months and ages every hundred posts, by post. so if she has 1,050 posts, that makes her ten-and-a-half moons.
    she has had one litter with dee, the current deputy of bloodclan. her adoptive fathers are the [late] quietstar and sheogorath. upon sheogorath's death, he was reincarnated as one of her kits.
    at the moment, she has conflicted feelings about dee.
    she isn't evil, nor blood thirsty. she will, however, do just about anything asked of her while in bloodclan in order to remain there to be near her captured best friend, and sort through her feelings for sheogorath and dee.

    at the moment, palemoon is open to:
    friends / basic interactions with every clan
    romance [picky, will need to be built up to]
    adoptive siblings / children / mother
    being crushed on
    human au's [my lyfe]
    capturing your character
    killing your character [must be provoked, poor temper, can NOT have anyone seek revenge]

    and unfortunately, she is closed to:
    enemies [generally pretty sociable]
    litters [maybe, depending on the cat]
    adoptive fathers [a little emotionally scarred from them]
    being captured
    being killed
    being injured
    fights

    [align=center][fancypost bgcolor=none; bordercolor=transparent; borderwidth=0px; width: 400px;font-size:8pt;line-height: 180%;][justify]

    how coincidental - the two toms she was hoping might make the party all the more fun. the painful part was that that gray feline found the joke only half amusing. slate gaze eyeing the duo, she gave a polite smile, but the poison below it, something that she'd forced down with her temper since kithood, was everpresent.

    "i'm tired of playing the good girl." she said, shrugging a shoulder. "tired of being the damsel. i've had a knack for drawing blood since kithood, and it's about time i put it to use. besides, i've spent enough time around here to know you all are far more fun than some other places. less... taboo." she added, gaze shifting to dee for a moment, returning to her son, then settling on the deputy. "so, who get's the final say, hmm?"

    [align=center][fancypost bgcolor=none; bordercolor=transparent; borderwidth=0px; width: 400px;font-size:8pt;line-height: 180%;][justify]

    at the preposition, palemoon felt her heart begin to speed up, thrilled at the idea of being able to look her friend over, insure her well being. she struggled to keep her cool, and took to flirting as a defense mechanism. "and ruin that pretty face of yours? sweetheart, anything i want to do you couldn't be done in front of your sister." she said with a passive shrug, beginning to walk once more, not sparing him a glance over her shoulder, too afraid to crack. "where is she?"
