    friends with palemoon?
    i think the two could get on pretty well lmao

    [align=center][fancypost bgcolor=none; bordercolor=transparent; borderwidth=0px; width: 400px;font-size:8pt;line-height: 180%;][justify]

    three apprentices was nothing for palemoon.

    she'd faced an entire army, she'd killed a tom four times her size. she'd raised seven children - one of which was the reincarnation of sheogorath himself. three apprentices was a casual stroll through the park at sunset.

    she'd told them the night before to meet her by the river at dawn. once they'd gotten into their den, she'd gone to the river and spent the night breaking the water up, and now, as the sun began to ebb into the darkness, she waited on the opposing side, sunningrocks.

    the current moved quickly, the undercurrent even faster. it was a swirling dark pool, chunks of ice protruding and swirling, threatening to kill anything that got in it's path. hundreds of little glaciers.

    she'd decided this would be the best way to get the feel for the trio, a little competition. see who had the drive to win, who had the drive to survive, and who would need picking up. who would need more attention, and who could skip certain lessons in favor of patrols and hunting. gears turned and swirled behind those gray yes as she waited for them to arrive on the opposite side of the water, wondering who would be late this time.

    sure!!
    do you think raggedstar would hang around fourtrees, since riverclan and shadowclan don't share a border?

    [align=center][fancypost bgcolor=none; bordercolor=transparent; borderwidth=0px; width: 400px;font-size:8pt;line-height: 180%;][justify]

    [so this is supposed to be paley's 1,000 post oneshot. but since i'll be on mobile for a few days, i'm typing and posting it now!
    this is part one, and part two will be found in skyclan, where she'll sort of be stranded for a few days while she's recovering.
    i'll still be posting retro with her here obviously, because i'm addicted to this place.
    i do ask that nobody initially comes looking for her, since this isn't the first time she's run off (bloodclan, then the moonstone). however, i am looking for someone to come to skyclan and ask if they've seen her and sort of recover her!]

    runner. starry. leaf. bluewisteria. sparrow.

    countless others.

    mintyblossom. brindlestar. redsky.

    nameless others.

    mangledheart. beepaw. crowpaw.

    unknown others.

    quietstar. sheogorath.

    faceless others.

    raspberrykit. mallowkit. fennelkit. skullcapkit. bramblekit.

    so. many. others.

    one by one, everyone she loved died. one by one they were pecked off, like flies who edged too close to a venus fly trap. one by one, they were swallowed up and spat out, landing in piles of dirt with a hardly marked grave. one by one, they left her alone in the world. left her to fend for herself, to stare the empty void in the face, then turn away. they expected her to ignore the anaconda winding it's way around her throat, expected her to ignore the serene offer of the venom.

    she was so tired of losing the things she loved. for once, she wanted to be in control, for once, she wanted to choose her own fate.

    she had so much going for her. so many friends, she still had two of her children left. she was ten moons old, she had so much time ahead of her. but when you grew up so quickly, when you killed so young, it was difficult to see the optimism in things.

    something took hold of her. something deep and dark took hold of her. she hadn't slept in a week, hadn't eaten in nearly that long. she wasn't only numb physically, but mentally. she was a zombie, moving with basic thought, basic instinct. locked in her own mind, selfishly drowning herself in her anguish over everything she'd lost and paying no attention to the things she still had. it was easy to forget the good in times like these. when such a happy feline was swallowed by such an overwhelming sadness.

    "runner." she whispered aloud as she walked, her voice inaudible over the storm. she was alone, she was sure of it. she may have been fading with her consciousness, but she wasn't stupid.

    "starry." she said once again, taking another step. just like quietstar had. like father like daughter, right? she was more like him than she'd realized.

    "leaf." she whispered her smallest littermates name as she reached the cliffs edge, tears falling as the wind whipped up from the gorge, assaulting her face. she smiled. she missed her siblings, she'd never gotten a formal goodbye. she'd never had a chance to tell them how much they'd help her grow.

    "palemoon." and she flew.

    [again, i ask that nobody sees this or traces her scent, they'll likely just assume she went missing. she should be back in a few irl days, it'll be half a moon or so ic.]

    [align=center][fancypost bgcolor=none; bordercolor=transparent; borderwidth=0px; width: 400px;font-size:8pt;line-height: 180%;][justify]

    YALL DON"T EVEN UNDERSTAND
    HOW MAD I AM
    RN

    i typed up this 2,000 word oneshot to post for paleys arrival into skyclan
    and my computer disconnected to my wifi
    AND IT'S ALL GONE
    POOF
    DISSAPPEARED

    [align=center][fancypost bgcolor=none; bordercolor=transparent; borderwidth=0px; width: 400px;font-size:8pt;line-height: 180%;][justify]

    [hey guys, so i had this great post typed up and lost it because my computer disconnected to the internet so? i apologize for how non-oneshot-ey this is, but i had to made a part two to conclude the other one, so just think of this as like a regular post?
    anyway, paley has broken her front right leg, bruised her entire body, and bruised the bones on both of her back legs. she can't walk right now, and won't be able to for half a moon. a few days irl, a week at most.
    i'd prefer if nobody notified the riverclanners that she's here, as she'll sort of be retrieved when a patrol comes hunting for her in a half moon ic. nonviolent actions can be powerplayed, and it should be noted that she's incapable of feeling pain, so nothing really hurts - her body has just sort of paralyzed itself.]

    she couldn't move.

    the feline knew she was in skyclan territory, she recognized it easily. her cousin, mintyblossom, had been a medicine cat here. she'd spent several moons teaching palemoon herbs - part of the felines plan to be leader.

    ha. she'd been so stupid, then.

    the feline inhaled, exhaled. after throwing herself in the gorge, an attempt to kill herself like her father had, she'd been washed ashore by the river and managed to drag herself deeper in her semi-conscious state. she'd tried to kill herself, and like usual, her body had refused to comply, refused to die. she always seemed to survive the worst.

    a groan escaped the young warriors lips and she tried to move, to stand up, but failed. finally giving up, giving in, the feline let her body stay still, as it seemed intent on doing, and instead craned her neck, desperate to see anyone who might approach.

    [align=center][fancypost bgcolor=none; bordercolor=transparent; borderwidth=0px; width: 400px;font-size:8pt;line-height: 180%;][justify]

    aww, wafture, so sorry to hear that! if you need someone to talk to let me know, between the two of my parents i've been through four divorces of dysfunctional marriages, i get how it can be.

    and side note, anyone want a thread with paley while she's here??

    [align=center][fancypost bgcolor=none; bordercolor=transparent; borderwidth=0px; width: 400px;font-size:8pt;line-height: 180%;][justify]

    [align=center][fancypost bgcolor=none; bordercolor=transparent; borderwidth=0px; width: 400px;font-size:8pt;line-height: 180%;][justify]

    fourtrees was quiet.

    in the live she led, quiet was a hard thing to come by, particularly as of late. five of her children were dead - though it felt like six, considering what sheokit had become. she had three apprentices, secret rendezvous to bloodclan to catch a free moment with the father of her children, who she was sure felt nothing toward her. but she was addicted to dee like she was water, she needed him like she did the rivers that flowed through her territory, and through her veins.

    fourtrees was a place of solace. palemoon hadn't been there in some time, not since she'd walked out of the gathering so many moons ago, in defense of bloodclans right to be there. she didn't go to gatherings very often anymore, and fancied she ought to. not every memory there was bad.

    the young warrior felt very old, tired, as she stood in the little open space, the ground beneath her paws soft and hard at the same time, from the many generations of paws that had trod upon it.

    she missed being... young.

    [ahh, dying muse rn]

    [align=center][fancypost bgcolor=none; bordercolor=transparent; borderwidth=0px; width: 400px;font-size:8pt;line-height: 180%;][justify]

    [align=center][fancypost bgcolor=none; bordercolor=transparent; borderwidth=0px; width: 400px;font-size:8pt;line-height: 180%;][justify]
    "dawnpaw's late." the warrior observed as the duo approached, one after the other. perhaps not exactly, the sun was still in the sky, but last was always late in life.

    clearing her throat, the warrior squared her shoulders, sucking in a breath to yell over the wind and the river. "do either of you know how to swim?" she inquired, quirking a brow as she eyed them.

    [align=center][fancypost bgcolor=none; bordercolor=transparent; borderwidth=0px; width: 400px;font-size:8pt;line-height: 180%;][justify]

    she had to say, she was thoroughly shocked to see audenine in a clan, and doing what appeared to be medicinal duties. quite some time had certainly passed since she'd last seen him, hadn't it?

    an older female inquired about her state, and before she could respond, audenine was speaking. she snorted at his words, in no visible pain but her body a mess of twisted and wet limbs. "yeah, i've seen better days." she agreed, eying the limbs with a look of distaste. "it's palemoon now. been a while, eh audy? have you changed your mind on us clan cats?" she inquired in a half hearted attempt at smalltalk.

    she tried to adjust herself and found herself unable to move the weak, heavy limbs. her jaw tensed in frustration, and she resisted the urge to scream at them. "i can't move." she informed the older tom, turning her gaze to him, half expecting an instant diagnosis.

    [align=center][fancypost bgcolor=none; bordercolor=transparent; borderwidth=0px; width: 400px;font-size:8pt;line-height: 180%;][justify]

    that would be lovely! would you mind making? mobile life atm

    it certainly must have looked strange, to anyone who didn't know her and her intolerance. her body was a mess, and yet there she lie, frustrated and bored. then again, almost everything in the felines life looked that way.

    "oh, haven't you heard? i've mothered my father, apparently." the feline said with feigned amusement, though her displeasure with what her son had becomr was evident in her features. but she fancied that was something to cry over another time, instead turning her attention back to the injuries.

    she wasn't exactly happy to be stranded in skyclan, but there were wprse places. she quite liked many skyclanners, actually. "uh, thanks audy. glad to know i'm in capable paws.* she said, sighing once more.

    rushed and mobile

    [align=center][fancypost bgcolor=none; bordercolor=transparent; borderwidth=0px; width: 400px;font-size:8pt;line-height: 180%;][justify]

    palemoon hadn't been very farout of sight when she saw cougartail take a mad dash into thunderclan territory - and half a second later, the stench hit her. dogs.

    she'd never feared much in her life, but dogs she did. she saw them tear her parents limb from limb at a moon old, she'd gotten her first scar, the bite on her shoulder, and losy the last third of her tail to them. dogs were terrible, awful things.

    but she didn't hesitate.

    flying over the border, knowing thunderclans territory almost as well as her own, palemoon headed straight for where the scent was strongest - though she stammered for a moment at the sight of her son in the trees, something sick and angry and humiliated twisting up in her stomach and making her blood run hot. he's not your baby anymore, palemoon. he's a monster. she reminded himself, but it helped very little.

    turning away from him, the feline caught up to her clanmate but wasted no time with acknowledgements, knowing a hello could be the matter of life and death.

    she knew the camp well, from her time spent there as a refugee, and headed for the nursery first, sensing the panic in the apprentice abd remembering that feeling. she'd been so much younger, the last time she'd felt that way. as of late, death was a cool acceptance that she'd taken on with grace.

    "we need to get them up high, a tree - dogs can't climb!" she instructed immediately, eying the closest ones for which would be easiest for a kit to climb. her children, save for pansypaw, were all dead or dead to her; she'd save someone elses, at least.
