Onai sauntered peacefully down a path she took last time, trying to remember the patterns of the shadows and the landmarks she passed by as she wove a newer, sloppier path through the woods;she had awoken not long after the rest of the pack, but left before anyone might notice. "Ah, I remember catching a vole here" she nodded in the direction of a particularly odd tree with a branch that was broken and hung low to the ground. Onai ducked underneath the low branch and crept around it, just for the joy of it. As Onai strolled down the path, however, she grew bored of the long trip and her senses tuned in. She could hear the bird's calls echoing in the treetops, she could feel the soft ground beneath her paw pads, and she could smell the many critters that scurried and hid away from her in the trees ,but she couldn't care less about those pitiful little things; she was after a little bit more than a squirrel. "I can't wait to get back into the water.. the fish are just waiting to be snatched up and eaten!" she yipped a laugh.

Sprint stood idle not too far off from Grayson and Kyra, his shoulders sagging. It had been a long day for him, having to watch a nice and plump female gazelle escape his grasp and trot away into the distance, leaving Sprint in the dust. Sprint was certain he would catch it, but some unknown force kept him from reaching it; it was hard to watch such an easy catch just slip away. Disappointed, Sprint sighed and leaned against a tree.

Sprint flinched and looked at Grayson, then blinked a few times to make sure he wasn't daydreaming "yeah, I feel bad for not catching it when I should have." he replied calmly. Sprint's posture changed quite a bit when the alpha approached and he stared in awe,but still trying not to seem strange.

Onai paused at the edge of a lake and pressed her belly to the sand. She was finally ready to catch fish;she knew she had always wanted to try it. "I wonder if wolves can actually fish, like in the stories!" she whispered to herself as she dipped one paw in the green-brown water "but that means I'd have to swim....maybe another time!" Onai hurried up the bank and this time headed deeper into the woods to find other food.

Onai, mildly embarrassed at the idea that she could ever catch a fish, hurried over to a nearby hunting ground and managed to catch a plump grey rabbit and sat down to rest. After a few minutes of resting at the outskirts of the hunting ground, however, she turned and hurried back to camp, the rabbit carcass dangling between her jaws.

Sprint's shoulders sagged and he let out a sigh, allowing a grin to slowly spread across his jaw "thank you, sir." he replied quickly. His gaze slowly turned to Kyra who was playing in the background and he spoke up "any successful catches today sir?"

Mallory's eyes half-opened and when he spotted Amber nearby, his eyes widened and he staggered to his paws fearfully. The tiny brown pup slowly got into a defensive stance, the only thing his parents taught him from when they were about to hit him;he had learned how to be ready to leap out of the way. He eyed Amber suspiciously, his baby blue eyes glistening.

Mallory smiled up at Parzival, his tail swaying gently. I'm.. happy he hadn't realized it before, but after Mallory had been fed and shown some affection, he seemed like a completely different pup. A happy pup... I never would have been this way if it wasn't for Cobra finding me.
His gaze shifted back towards Amber and he let out a happy grunt before resting his head on his paws.
Despite the fact that the hunters could be right on our tails right now, Parzival still manages to make me happy.. I wonder if this feeling will stay.

(so we meet again, jayfeather :D)

    Name:Sage
    Age: 1 Year
    Gender: female
    Mate: none
    Pups: none
Description: Sage has a lean body structure perfect for running long distances and large ears for listening to threats nearby. She makes a really good look out for Swift when he's hunting.
    Other:
Sage is often described as a sweet young vixen, with a heart as pure as gold..and with advantages, come
flaws. Sage is extremely clumsy at times;sure, it can be cute at first, but it gets to a point where she cannot be trusted to hunt as she will scare away every living thing. Sage can also be a little bit oblivious to things, making her seem naive to others and sometimes downright stupid. HOWEVER, despite her major flaws, she gets by pretty well hanging around her brother all the time, and she's generally a spontaneous and generous fox.

    Image:

    Name: Swift
    Age: 1 Year
    Gender: Male
    Mate: none
    Pups: none
Description: A sleek, lean young male with a flexible body to weave past the trees stealthily and soft round paws to creep quietly through the foliage after his prey. He also has a long, fluffy tail just for show and round, bright eyes.

Other: Swift was always the more 'loved' of the two. He showed a lot of speed and stealth and cunning as a kit, which eventually made his mother grow more fond of him than any of the other foxes in the litter. At one point, Swift grew attached to his sister, affecting his popularity among his family and when he had to be sent away to live on his own, he clung to his sister in fear, and ever since, they've never left eachother behind.

Swift pressed himself close to Sage's side as they strolled quietly through the woods. His eyes wandered toward the canopy of bright green leaves overhead with sunlight peering through and he flinched at the intensity of the light. As they went further into the woods, however, Sage began to grow uneasy and she watched her surroundings constantly. uncertain of what she might be hearing. Swift guessed, watching her as she shifted uncomfortably. At one point, Sage halted abruptly and Swift paused mid-step to wait for her to react. Sage's ears twitched constantly as she searched desperately for the direction of the troubling sound;Swift had heard it too, but he knew that Sage had better hearing than he did. Sage turned and dashed in the other direction towards the sound, and Swift followed right on her heels.

Sage leaped out from within a cluster of shrubs and landed right before Holly, and Swift stumbled after her, but slid out of the way before he almost slammed his face right into Sage's rear end. Mildly embarrassed, Swift pinned his ears back and ducked behind Sage.

"...oh" Sage murmured. She turned slightly to look over her shoulder at Swift, her eyes glazed over. After moments of unspoken conversation between the siblings, Sage turned again to look back at Holly, and dipped her head in respect quickly before trotting off towards the woods, but Swift stayed for one moment to stare at Holly before following his sister

The two had already doubled back the way that they came when Jasper found Holly and the others, and it was only then that Sage paused, her ears perked. Swift shouldered her roughly and muttered something about not going back, but Sage only shouldered him back and turned back towards the direction of the stranger foxes.
"I want to know more about these foxes" Sage whispered, trotting briskly back towards their scent. As soon as she was within earshot of their conversation, she ducked beneath the thick twisting roots of an old tree that seemed to arch over her head with a conveniently placed bush leaning over the top so that she was almost completely concealed. Swift sauntered after her lazily and rolled into her little den that she found, attempting to listen in on the conversation as well.

"why are we doing this again?" Swift whispered to Sage

"I don't know..I'm just curious" Sage replied promptly

Fawn stopped at a river bank at the edge of the woods and stared down at the crystal-clear water flowing past smoothly;she guess that the water would about up to her chest if she waded far enough into the water. The tan she-wolf turned and looked at the male, her tail waging slowly "I like this river."

"To hear, one must be Silent"

    (scroll to skip the story)

    Long ver:

I remember that day like yesterday;when it all began. Tension was thick between the emperors, a tension not many had seen before.
I remember when everyone gathered in the courtroom; rows upon rows were stuffed with Humans and Dragons and hybrids of all kinds and they surrounded the small area were several seats and desks sat in the center. I was squashed between two older dragons, but I somehow still managed to get a glimpse of the situation
"Must you be so utterly incompetent..and..and ANNOYING?!" King Henry hollered, slamming his fist on the desk in front of him.
The room went silent;an unsettling kind of silent.
King Rowan, a magnificent copper-brown male dragon sat across from him, his head held high.
"you, are the incompetent one. You cannot seem to control yourself even in the courtroom." Rowan replied calmly.
The painful silence returned, and fear seemed to consume everyone. The crowd leaned forward to listen better.
"perhaps I can be of some assistance, King Henry?" King Cobra cleared his throat, his tail curling upward. King Cobra is the first hybrid to become king, and legally name his species 'Capian'. Everyone, including I, was baffled by Cobra's bold behavior, but worried too.
"It states here that King Rowan supposedly harassed King Henry's wife, Queen Elizabeth."
The crowd around me seemed to shudder simultaneously at the word 'harass'. We all knew the horrific details. Our King was being accused of harassment.
"THAT IS BULL AND YOU KNOW IT" bellowed a bright yellow dragon who stood at King Rowan's side.
The kings went back and forth like that all day, and they only continued to drive each other nuts.
At the end of the meeting, though, King Rowan left the courtroom untouched, and King Henry was livid.
With no evidence and only 1 witness, King Cobra had no choice but to let Rowan be.
But this wasn't the last we would see of King Henry's wrath, oh no. King Henry became bitter and bloodthirsty as the days dragged on endlessly, and after King Rowan's first son was born, Henry had the infant assassinated only a month after.
Devastation and Disappointment overwhelmed the Dragon king and discouraged him to try and have another son. It seemed agonizingly hopeless. And then King Cobra's messenger arrived, and the news he brought with him changed everything.
Now, as a war between the dragon kingdom and the human kingdom rages on, King Cobra is leeching off of the bloodshed of innocent dragons and men. He is being paid for his services in the dragon kingdom.
so that means, the fate of these soldiers are in my talons.

    Short ver:

so basically King Rowan is accused of harassing the human queen (obviously he didn't). After King Henry takes him to court, King Rowan is proven not guilty and the corrupt human king gets so angry that he kills Rowan's son.
Now Rowan and Henry are fighting, and the other two kingdoms are being paid to join each side.
Will the vicious cycle ever end?
