    breezefeather.
    Breezefeather swung his head around to face Amberstar, who gave him quite a fright. He provided a little jump and his eyes observed the leader vigorously. After a couple moments of uneasy emotions, returned the greeting. "Good morning Amberstar. I'm really sorry for waking so late." He let his long tail sway across the ground, sending leaves drifting away. Breezefeather was the type that, once being told wrong or getting angered at, would ponder on throughout the day: even if it something small like this.

    the
    leaclan camp clearing is pretty small. not quite in the heart of the forest but closer to the south. it's basically a large tree house, covered in moss. there are three floors and the first floor has the warriors den, the apprentice den & the deputies den. The second floor consists of the the nursery, the elders den, the medicine cat's den & the leaders den. At the very top of the tree is a lookout area.




    the river as mentioned before runs through the middle of the beautiful forest. it is used for hunting.




    the ample beech is a grand beech tree in the forest.




    the two-leg den is the nearest den by leaclan territory. there is a large garden in the back where two-legs grow their catmint and other herbs.




    next we have the moon-fall. this was as well mentioned before, and is where leaders and medicine cats go to to get in contact with starclan.




    here we have the beach. which is located on near the left of the meadow.




    now we've got the lake.




    almost last we have the mountains.




    lastly we have the apprentices training area. this is used formentors to train their apprentices. it is located in the forest.[/fancypost][/fancypost][/fancypost]

    The Clan Leader calls a Clan Meeting to appoint a new apprentice and assign a mentor to them. The following words are used, by tradition:




    Leader: (Kit), you have reached the age of six moons, and it is time for you to be apprenticed. From this day on, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as (new name, ending with "paw"). Your mentor will be (name of warrior or medicine cat). I hope (name of warrior or medicine cat) will pass down all he/she knows on to you.
    The leader calls up the warrior he/she has chosen as a mentor.




    Leader: (Warrior), you are ready to take on an apprentice. You had received excellent training from (former mentor), and you have shown yourself to be (quality) and (quality). You will be the mentor of (apprentice), and I expect you to pass on all you know to (apprentice).
    The mentor touches noses with the apprentice, and the Clan greets the new apprentice by calling out their name. After this, the apprentice will usually go greet their family, or go see to their mentor.




    Medicine Cat Apprentice Ceremony
    The leader calls a Clan meeting, after the Clan's medicine cat announces that they wish to mentor an apprentice. The following words are used, by tradition:




    Medicine Cat: Cats of (Clan), as you know, I will not be around forever. So it's time I took an apprentice. I have chosen a cat who has shown (virtues). Your next medicine cat will be (apprentice).
    Leader: (Apprentice), do you accept the post of apprentice to (medicine cat)?
    Apprentice: I do.
    Medicine Cat: Then at the half-moon, you must travel to the Moonstone/Moonpool to be accepted by StarClan before the other medicine cats.
    Leader: The good wishes of all (Clan) will go with you.
    The mentor touches noses with the apprentice, and the Clan greets the new apprentice.




    At the Moonstone/Moonpool
    At the next half moon, the medicine cat goes with the apprentice to the Clans' sacred place to present them to the warrior ancestors, where the apprentice confirms their wish to be a medicine cat. The following words are used, by tradition:




    Medicine Cat: (Apprentice), is it your wish to enter the mysteries of StarClan as a medicine cat?
    Apprentice: It is.
    Medicine Cat: Then come forward.
    Medicine Cat: Warriors of StarClan, I present you with this apprentice. (He/she) has chosen the path of a medicine cat. Grant (him/her) your wisdom and insight so that (he/she) may understand your ways and heal (his/her) Clan in accordance with your will.
    The medicine cat apprentice touches his/her nose to the Moonstone or drinks from the Moonpool. Then the medicine cat and the apprentice lay down and have a dream from StarClan.

    Warrior Ceremony

    If the Clan Leader is satisfied, they call a Clan Meeting and call the apprentice. The following words are used, by tradition:




    Leader: I, (Leader), leader of (Clan), call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. (He/she) has trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend (him/her) to you as a warrior in (his/her) turn.
    Leader: (Apprentice), do you promise to uphold the warrior code and to protect and defend your Clan, even at the cost of your life?
    Apprentice: I do.
    Leader: Then by the powers of StarClan, I give you your warrior name. (Apprentice), from this moment you will be known as (new warrior name). StarClan honors your (virtues), and we welcome you as a full warrior of (Clan).

    Dying Apprentice Ceremony

    Leader: I ask my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. (He/She) has learned the warrior code and given up (his/her) life in the service of (his/her) Clan. Let StarClan receive (him/her) as a warrior. (He/She) will be known as (new name).

    Medicine Cat Ceremony

    Once the Clan's medicine cat is satisfied with the apprentice's knowledge, they go to the Clans' sacred place (such as the Moonstone or Moonpool). This is the only ceremony that is not performed by the Leader. The following words are used, by tradition:




    Medicine Cat: I, (name), medicine cat of ___Clan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. (He/she) has trained hard to understand the ways of a medicine cat, and with your help (he/she) will serve (his/her) Clan for many moons.
    Medicine Cat: ___paw, do you promise to uphold the ways of a medicine cat, to stand apart from rivalry between Clan and Clan and to protect all cats equally, even at the cost of your life?
    Apprentice: I do.
    Medicine Cat: Then by the powers of StarClan I give you your true name as a medicine cat. ___paw, from this moment you will be known as (new name). StarClan honors your (virtues), and we welcome you as a full medicine cat of (Clan).
    The medicine cat rests their muzzle on the apprentice's head, and they lick the mentor's shoulder. The other medicine cats greet them by their new name.

    Elder Ceremony

    Leader: (Warrior), is it your wish to give up the name of a warrior and go to join the elders?
    Warrior: It is.
    Leader: Your Clan honors you and all the service you have given to us. I call upon StarClan to give you many moons of rest.




    The Clan will call out the retired warrior's name and then they will go to the elder's den. An elder may receive a completely different name, with a different ceremony, than keeping their warrior name.




    Usually, an elder ceremony is held only when a cat retires due to old age. If they are forced to retire because of a severe injury there is no ceremony.

    The leader calls a Clan Meeting, and performs the ceremony by announcing these words:




    Leader: I say these words before StarClan, so that the spirits of our warrior ancestors (or former deputy name) may hear and approve of my choice. The new deputy of (Clan) is (warrior's name).

    Leadership Ceremony

    The new leader goes to the Moonstone (or Moonpool) with the Clan's medicine cat. After touching the stone (or drinking from the pool), the new leader cannot move for a short period of time, because their old life is being ripped away so they can receive nine new ones. Upon awakening, cats of StarClan come down from Silverpelt. Nine cats, normally ones who were significant during the new leader's life, although this is not always the case, give them their nine lives with these words:




    Life-Giver: (Touches nose to the top of the new leader's head) With this life I give you (gift). Use it well (to, in, as, for, etc.) (use of gift).
    When all of the lives have been given, normally the previous leader says these words:




    Previous Leader: I hail you by your new name, _____star. Your old life is no more. You have now received the nine lives of a leader, and StarClan grants you the guardianship of ____Clan. Defend it well; care for young and old; honor your ancestors and the traditions of the warrior code; live each life with pride and dignity.

    The leader calls a Clan Meeting, and performs the change with the following words:




    "Spirits of StarClan, you know every cat by name. I ask you now to take away the name from the cat you see before you, for it no longer stands for what he/she is. By my authority as Clan leader, and with the approval of our warrior ancestors, I give this cat a new name. From this moment on he/she will be known as (new name), for (description of the reason)."

    1. i'd prefer it if you not make over 5 characters. it get's hard for me to be constantly adding cat's to this thread.
    2. it must be two weeks before a kit can become and apprentice and three weeks for an apprentice to become a warrior. and if a female is expecting during the roleplay, it must be a week before she can actually have her kits.
    3. no god-modding or power-playing.
    4. no mary-sues/gary-sues. if your character isn't the greatest at hunting, he or she isn't considered a mary/gary-sue unless he or she is unable to hunt for her clan during a harsh leaf-bare.
    5. please consult me or any of the other admins before beginning any plots of your own.
    6. one high position available for one person.




    out of character rules-
    1. please be kind to everyone.
    2. there is no code, as i trust you have all read the rules.
    3. i will not hesitate to decline a character.
    4. please be real with your characters. prefixes like fast, creepy or quiet are not aloud.
    5. we allow prefixes like autumn, spring, winter or summer but please try to keep your names tradition. example: honey, cloud, cinder. though meadow related names are acceptable. example: flower prefixes and animal prefixes.
    6. please try your best to keep chatting off of the sign-up thread.
    7. please be ACTIVE. i don't like it when people post for about a week, then go M.I.A without telling me. if you're gone for up to two weeks without letting me know the reason, your character will be killed off. also, if you begin to make a high ranked character, you must finish it within 30 hours or i will keep that spot opened up.

    A soft, curled up bundle of fur lay nearly motionless on dried up bits of moss that were once green, but now tinted with brown. The gentle rise of her flank rapidly grew quicker as she began to reveal her eyes. Pale green orbs then traveled from a second motionless body to the chaotic looking vines that covered the den entrance. Maplespark lifted her tabby marked head before setting in back down on the moss. She was not ready to get up. The grey feline rolled over onto her right side, her back facing the entryway to the den, she closed her eyes once more and let out a low sigh.


    Maplespark was no different from most cat's. She didn't know anyone who enjoyed waking up in the morning: the somewhat lazy feline loathed having to get up at dawn. But she was deputy and if she wanted to continue to keep her job, she would have to make good impressions on her leaders. Sleeping in would not help that. After a few moments of tranquility, she pulled herself up from the warm moss nest and made her way outside of the den.


    The sky was milky pastel as the sun began to rise and light mist still drifted between fir and oak trees. The grass beneath him was short, with a tint of brown here and there and orange leaves scattered across the forest floor. Maplespark scanned the camp, seeing only few bodies awake and moving. She let out a deep yawn that was followed by a loud, rumbling purr. Maplespark inhaled the crisp fresh-air intensely. Her pink nose tingled as the cool air reached tiny, thin hairs, turning them to frost. Small bits of moss and feathers clung to his thick fur and he gently drew a salmon colored tongue across his pelt, forcing them to fall out.

    Lakebreeze had yet again been roused awake by his sister. The handsome grey feline heaved a deep sigh with soft green eyes shut. He slowly opened them back up again, blinking out bits of sleep. The grey heap stirred and Lakebreeze rolled over, jerked himself up, sitting. He stretched his front paws ahead of him and dug his claws into the thick ground, as he stuck his rear up into the air.


    Lakebreeze followed Maplespark out of the den and sat close to her, giving his pelt a shake. He sat for a moment, enjoying the calm temperature. As washed-out colored visuals examined the clearing, he noticed how greatly the trees had made a change. The leaves had turned to red, with gold highlighting the ends.

    Honeypaw was already awake.


    The morning had been calm. The air was chilly and a small amount of frost was set on top of the grass. Like a puff of smoke, a billow of fog expelled from Honeypaw, quickly vanishing into the morning air as she took a seat under the shade of the tree den. Her green gaze gradually inspected the clearing; which appeared to be of a grey tint. Most of the trees were beginning to turn brown but the leaves continued to be a beautiful, intense red.
