hey there! im ftm and im recently in college; id definitely suggest working with your friends on getting a sort of gsa thing going if possible and seeing if there are any support groups around

for me support groups werent rlly my thing and partialyl bc it can just be overwhelming, and if rn its hard for you to focus on trans-related stuff for a long time without trouble, like mangled said try to take it slow, its okay to take it slow. transgenderteensurvivalguide i can ditto as a great blog!!

if you ever want to talk or anything im also p much always around, this is a hard time but youll get through it!! <3

I think when you're being overwhelmed it's best to try to just think of one thing specifically--like binders, for example, without letting yourself get into other topics or things you might need, etc, bc it really is a lot and it can be very scary. of course it can also be really hard to keep from getting overwhelmed even so, but one thing that could help? possibly? is looking at v supportive lighthearted things from trans ppl, bc those tumblrs can sometimes be like support groups in their own rights. there are some that work v hard to keep out any discourse or scariness and just provide support--

this is one that comes to mind <3

honestly when jacks being an edgelord roque tells him to shut the fuck up p much constantly it gets v old he has no time for this

essentially what I'm wondering is this--and it may have already been answered, if so, I would really appreciate someone recapping for me: Is the site going to continue to have multi-genre options?

I know it is working to focus more on main game, and I understand the reasons for that--however, having the sort of free-for-all options, the 'other rp' board, the 'advanced other', have always been my homes in my five years here, and I'm really hoping that even with the new breeding game, site transfer, etc, those boards aren't in danger of disappearing.

I think the main thing to watch out for if I'm correct is that you might not want to EDIT posts. Making posts is fine but the edits to them after they've been posted won't transfer, right?

I certainly plan to still be around here.

infp!! funny how rn thats the most common one, id love to see this poll get big but with the transfer starting tomorrow, im p sure the votes arent gonna be seen

you can learn a LOT on tumblr, even in the political side where it gets at times the most toxic.

however, if you're prone to anxiety attacks, I'd consider not just because my experience is: I get really invested in something, discourse, etc, and then within a few posts I have a panic attack because it's really just too much for me. That's something I'm working on but I don't have the same issue having heated debates elsewhere, so it seems to mostly just be tumblr or perhaps the online setting.

A casual blog would be nice but be forewarned--I have one now, and even if its just fandom, if you're opinionated you might follow some opinionated fandom blogs and those can get p toxic too. you can always blacklist tags like discourse if you want, that could help some

hey! so like kismet, I was homeschooled my whole life and am now in college.

    I also have social anxiety.

However, I'd like to mention that for me: college is helping my anxiety EXTREMELY and I wouldn't necessarily condemn homeschooling because of the anxiety potential. What homeschooling did for me was help me enjoy learning, I had a lot more freedom to learn about things I wanted to learn about--as well as move at my own pace. It's given me a much better perspective I think, going into college, about the actual academics of it.

Another thing to keep in mind is this: homeschooling does not have to equal isolation! IT's not as though if you're taken out of school you can never see anyone again. You just have to be able to take the initiative to go places, and talk to people. And that's an important skill, as is self-sufficiency.

I would reccomend trying to socialize yourself, because I never did that and I do believe it contributed to my anxiety--which is getting better--but honestly? It's probably better to choose where you socialize, and have the freedom to do it as you please, than to be forced into it at school.
