    [size=8]"Wha- no! No, go be a hippie somewhere else," Sapphire declared towards Jasper with an impatient huff, making a face. She stuck her tongue out, wriggling away from his grip. "Weirdo," she muttered, flicking an ear. She just wanted to spar, why couldn't he go bother someone else?

    At Fresh's words, she scowled, spinning around to see the old grouch. "Hey, piss off! I just wanna kick some ass! You get a life, you weirdo grape eater." She was ready to fight this guy, whoever he was, but then he... laid down? God, was he... asleep? Sapphire blinked a few times, staring at him before shrugging. "Whatever."

    When Cool arrived, she seemed to regain some of her enthusiasm. "I wanna fight because it's like, you're practicing to be a hero! Or a knight! Or something really kickass and cool! Though I mean," she shrugged again with a grin, "I gotta agree with ya there, fruits seem kinda nasty. But like, can someone just," she threw her paws up, "fight me?"

    [size=8]She looked down, slightly ashamed. Storm was right, wasn't he? She just wanted to help. "...If you have to," she said after some time, ears flat on her head. "And, um, thank you, Storm," she added on with a faint smile. She was glad to see him, he was always kind towards her.

    "But, um, yeah... if you have to, um, can I keep it, um, sh-shut?" She asked Mary, her one eye wide. Ignorance was bliss and she was going to hold onto that for as long as possible.

    /crappy post

    [size=8]"Yeah, we're... uh, we're populated," the paladin said quietly, frowning at Barry through her one good eye. "Um. I'm Sapphire, it's nice to meet you," she went through the motions, giving a tiny nod towards the very loud, very bouncy feline. This was certainly a sight.

    "Do you... um, are you going to join? Or... because, um, well, you're, um, on our island."

    [size=8]She'd been drawn in by the commotion like a moth to a lantern. Every day it seemed there were new tragedies to push through, new people who suffered. This wasn't what she meant at all when she wanted new experiences. It seemed she was a lot older than when she arrived, despite it only being about a month.

    However, seeing Fresh, she knew her experiences paled in comparison. Guilt washed over her; she had been worried about losing an eye, but Fresh? He lost his entire leg. And, by the looks of it, he'd thought he'd lost Truepaw as well. Sapphire swallowed, a cold feeling rushing over her body. Goosebumps at the sight? He did look badly beaten.

    "Fresh..." she said quietly, staring up at him with wide eyes. "I'm so sorry." Her words seemed hollow. 'Sorry' couldn't fix this. 'Sorry' couldn't get him a new leg or, more importantly, regain his innocence. He'd just lost his whole childish outlook on life, hadn't he? Sapphire supposed being worried about an eye meant that she hadn't lost hers... or had she anyways? It was difficult to tell, but it wasn't about her right now anyways.

    For now, she could only stare, horrified.

    [size=8]In a different sense, Sapphire understood what he was going through. Her self harm was through different motives, sometimes unconsciously: "You're worthless, suck it up, don't make a scene. People suffer, you're just too weak to push through yours. Asking for help makes you a burden." She didn't have to worry on a grand scale, didn't have to fear the eventual end of the world. She would not live that long, unlike the clan's resident vampire. Her turmoil was more... mortal.

    But she still could understand wanting to end it. Hadn't her "scenes" been, in a way, a form of attempted suicide? She got so reckless she almost pierced her skull with an icicle. Lowering herself into that cave certainly was a death wish. Going into it, she almost knew she wouldn't come out uninjured. Half of her expected to die within the reaches of that rocky hell.

    She'd been watching the combatant from the trees, heart thumping wildly in her chest. It hadn't been long, but watching him hold a paw over the edge like that, staring down at the ground for so long... it was scary. From what she could tell, nobody was around except her. What if she wasn't enough? What if he decided to jump anyways?

    Steeling herself, Sapphire stepped out into the open, footsteps light and slow. "Jasper..." she called softly, biting her lip. The azure feline just took a seat next to him, staring off the edge with him. What was she supposed to say? They were friends, peers, but she didn't know him well enough. She didn't even know he was a vampire; she just thought this was spurred on by other reasons.

    [size=8]/GANG FIGHT GANG FIGHT

    "Hey lady, piss off," she scowled at Mercy, blowing a puff of smoke. "I'm not any brat, I'm just looking for a good old fashioned spar so I can kick someone's ass!" She dug her claws into the ground. "Actually, since you claim to not care, you're gonna fight me. Have fun!"

    With that, the red feline aimed to blow a tester of flame towards Mercy. It was small enough so that she wouldn't be seriously harmed if she wasn't prepared to dodge. But hopefully, it was large enough to spark a gang fight because that'd be really cool.

    [size=8]What did the world do to deserve someone like Tama? She even had a halo sitting right atop her head; she truly was some sort of angel. At least, in Sapphire's eyes she was. She looked up at the leader, half sniffling at this point, struggling not to cry.

    "I did?" she said, somewhat in disbelief, staring at Tama with wide eyes. She'd proven herself? When? Was it when I almost FELL off the island, or when I had a breakdown about... about... well, THAT, or that time I was practically high and said stuff I don't remember? She kept her more cynical thoughts to herself, because while she did doubt what she'd done, Sapphire was thankful towards the leader. Her words did mean a lot, seeing as they came from someone she really respected.

    When Tama reached out to take her pain, Sapphire tried to stop her as best she could, but unfortunately didn't know how. Her eyes widened and she stared at the BlizzardClan leader. "Doesn't that hurt?" she asked, voice small. "You - you didn't have to... thank you," she said quietly again.

    At her next set of words, Sapphire was briefly surprised. Mary was blind? She hadn't known. Now, resisting treatment for her eye made her feel worse; even if she were blind in that eye, she really wasn't. She could see fine through her right eye, even if she'd lost a little depth perception. She knew where everything was.

    "I... I'm sorry," she stated, unsure who it was directed towards. "I... yeah. Yeah." she steeled herself. "If you have to, I won't stop you. Better, um, now, then never, right?"

    [size=8]Wow, she was... really late. Sapph slunk in to the side, hoping that she'd been seen since she did want a task. That was why she was here, wasn't it? Hopefully it was something better than... last time. Her macaroons had tasted awful, apparently. (She didn't know why. She'd followed the recipe exactly: a shitton of sugar and, like, some eggs, right?)

    [size=8]percy can see sapphire's too =)

    her's is very soft and light grey, like a see-through cloud that just kind of follows her around. it's a little blue the closer it gets to her body, and the bluer it is, the clearer/more visible it is. overall it just looks like a thin mist.

    [size=8]A sigh escaped her lips. She'd missed the window of time she usually left for her walk. That had been about a three hours ago, usually right after the sun rose in the sky and began to illuminate the island. She always rose early. It was part of who she was; the mornings stilled her, eased her worries in the low, golden light. Waking up without going for her walk almost seemed impossible.

    Yet it's where she found herself today, awakening two hours later than usual, missing her hour of quiet solitude. She supposed she could go anywhere if she just wanted to be alone, but it wasn't the same. The golden light was harsher now as the sun climbed the sky, the day's noises too loud. Bugs buzzed and birds chirped and even the wind seemed louder in the middle of the day. It was too much for her. Besides, after her recent... events, she was sure nobody wanted to see her alone anyways. Gods forbid she fall down another cave, or decide to stab herself with a popsicle because she had more gay angst. Sapphire scowled briefly at the thought. It still amazed her how naive she'd been when she arrived at BlizzardClan; she was ready to absorb all sorts of new experiences, learn new things, find adventure and friends. Now, she kind of just wanted to sleep. That urge to explore was very small now, beaten down into a corner.

    She stood quietly, shooting a brief stare at the sun before turning to get some prey. She hadn't eaten yet, and the last thing she wanted to do was disrupt her stomach's schedule as well as her daily routine.

    [size=8]A raid? She'd be... sitting out. Of course. Her body was still weak from the cave and honestly, she couldn't fight. Sapphire could only panic, move with adrenaline. She was not trained, and even her powers were passive; like water was going to harm somebody. No, she wouldn't be any help.

    She sat down to the side, inhaling through her mouth. Breathe. You're not even fighting. Sapphire looked towards the BlizzardClanners who had begun to leave. "Good luck," she murmured quietly.

    [size=8]His tone was chilling. Sapphire shivered, exhaling shakily. Jasper was... different. Was this the face of a broken man? Was it even possible to save him? She could stop him from falling now, but who's to say he wouldn't slash his throat, overdose? If a man was resolved to die, then... certainly he would eventually? Was she even powerful enough to stop this attempt?

    No, she couldn't think like that. She drew inspiration slightly from the stronger figures in the clan: Tama, Leon, Storm, what'd they do? Just, breathe, you gotta help him.

    She kept the silence a little longer, unsure how to answer. His life could depend on her words. She had to pick carefully. "It... I, um. Jasper. I..." she took a breath. "I don't, um..." A sigh. "I'd... I'd do one. But only if it didn't hurt you. I don't know what you're thinking, but... people need you here." Was that the correct thing to say? She didn't even know Jasper. These words felt hollow, empty, the textbook "how to deal with a suicidal clanmate" guideline. For all she knew, that would be enough to push him over the edge, quite literally. Her stomach churned. Gods, why was she put in this situation?

    [size=8]Sapphire had arrived silently, having noticed a somewhat large group of people pooling over by the entrance to the stairs. Her pawsteps were light, and she could definitely say she was curious. However, her eyes skimmed the note, and dread began to settle within her stomach. She could read enough to know what was going on.

    Sapphire bit her lip and shook her head. They hadn't been as close of friends as she would have liked, but she really did look up to Leon. He was strong and confident. Everywhere he went, he always seemed to know what he needed to do. She supposed it was the same way here. He... went somewhere, away from BlizzardClan, because he needed to help someone. He was still inspiring as he left.

    "Oh..." was all she could say, ears flat on her head.
