    [size=8]"Driiink?" she scoffed, waving a paw. "Nooooope. I'm like... an alcohol VIRGIN, heheh," she chuckled, nodding vigorously. "And, uh.... a real one...." her silence stretched for a moment as she thought, her gears turning at a very slow speed.

    "But yea man I'm okay," she waved again, wiping her nose. "It's like... so fuzzy, y'know? Just. I'm usually soooo anxious but like," Sapphire threw her head back into the grass, "now I just feel all fuzzy n warm inside. Maybe this is what it feels like when... like, your scared is scared. Y'know? Scare...ception." What... was she even saying. She was long gone at this point, just a bunch of jumbled up thoughts mixed with the lull of having taken too many meds. It was a miracle she hadn't done something stupid like walk off the edge of the island... well, she'd just announced her internal conflicts to the world but hey, she probably wouldn't remember this. Or she could deny it when she was sober, right?

    [size=8]Tama's words slightly soothed her worries, and she nodded, taking a breath. "Okay," Sapphire responded, still staring into the cave with a frown. Nothing bad could happen to her, right? She had three of the strongest people in the clan right here. She'd be safe. It pained her to have to rely on others for well-being, but that was much more desirable than not being safe at all. Or, gods forbid, alone in that cave.

    "Um, should we wait for more people?" she asked, looking between the three.

    [size=8]She beamed, thrilled that they seemed to approve of her first time cooking. "Thank you!" Sapph grinned, sitting up a little taller. She needed this. It was just something normal she could do to make her life feel grounded again.

    "Um, yeah, feel free to take some, I made lots!" she said again towards Tama, motioning towards a few brownish lumps that she'd pulled from the motherlump. Turning towards Storm, she pulled out the glitter bottle. "I, uh, found this! Don't chefs use it? I can't really, um, read it, but it looks good, right?"

    //crappy post agh

    [size=8]Her eyes widened at Cosmickit's question, and she put her paws up, shaking her head. "Oh! I'm... uhh... talkin' funny? I'm sorry, I, uhh, didn' know," she apologized, apparently embarrassed. Sapphire shook her head, rubbing her face a little bit. "Please don't be mad at me, I reaaaally didn't mean nothin'." She sounded similar to a child begging their mother to forgive them. Except this child was almost fully grown and her words were slurred to the point of almost being unrecognizable.

    When Tama began to urge her away, Sapphire rolled over, groaning. "Issit 'cause I'm talkin' funny? I can stop, honest! I got... plenty of sleep, Tehma," she assured, slightly butchering the leader's name. "I ate lots of those... seeeeds. Poppin seeds. Pop...py? Pop...corn? Made m' head feel fuzzy."

    [size=8]"I might... um, write one, but I'll probably, um, watch," Sapph informed quietly, her footsteps light as she came over. She wasn't keen on putting herself in the spotlight with a live poem, but yet... well, she couldn't write well. It took her a few minutes to decipher a simple sentence, only because she'd never been exposed to the English language before. Forget any other language, she had no hope of understanding it.

    [size=8]She'd arrived late to the scene, and watching Jasper like this just made her more confused. Sapphire frowned, watching him quietly. He was... more open? Was Jasper trying to be more heartfelt with his conversations? More emotional? He seemed wobbly. The paladin sighed quietly, taking a tentative step forward.

    "Um... hey, uh... oh," Sapphire trailed off, unsure what to say. This was an odd situation to be on the receiving end of, but she figured Jasper may regret this once it was over... whatever this was. For now the blue feline was silent, greatly confused at how he was acting.

    //retro to her 'coming out' oops

    [size=8]Sapphire approached, smiling at Rosekit. She wasn't sure if the kitten wanted to wait for "Mama" Tama (Tamamama?) so she wouldn't pressure her into giving the idea without her mother there. Still, she didn't want to scare the kitten; Sapph was afraid her bandages made her look more rugged than she was. (Hopefully not - she was, after all, a brightly-colored, fluffy, slightly chubby cat. It was difficult to make that look tough.)

    "I think she'll, uh, be here soon," Sapph assured. "I'm, uh, Sapphire! It's good to meet you."

    [size=8]//IT'S JUST TEMPORARY PROMISE
    she'll be missing for four days bc I'll be without wifi oops

    Storm's cave exploration had irritated her. Not because of him! No, she loved him, he was friendly and kind, and the exploration itself was fine. She'd stayed safe and the cave wasn't so scary with a group of people.

    But that was the thing; it was with a group. Everyone was there to support each other, but if need be, they could have all gone by themselves no problem. Tama had her earth elementals, Leon had his strength, and Storm was certainly smart enough to get himself out if something happened. Everyone else who attended probably could make their way out as well. But her? She would be dead in the water. Too weak to lift a boulder, not cunning enough to find her way out of a cave, and her powers didn't work on rocks. Just water. And she definitely didn't see an underground lake she could use.

    Which was why she needed to go back. Sapphire had left early in the morning, at the usual time of her walks, but took a left instead of a right when she got to the forest, making her way back to the cave system. I'll be stronger if I do this. No more problems. If I do this with one functional eye, too, I'll be... I'll be good. Not weak. I won't be so helpless that I STAB myself with ice. She nodded once to herself, face scrunched in concentration.

    She lowered herself into a different cave - it wouldn't count if it were the same one - and began to climb down. However, her paw slipped, and with less than a gasp, Sapphire was falling into the darkness, scrabbling at the wall helplessly. Within seconds, she was gone.

    [size=8]She'd seen the whole thing occur and couldn't help but grin a little from underneath her bandages, though her small smile quickly fell at the pain in her cheek.

    "Um... hi...? Uh..." honestly, she was speechless. Sapphire gaped up at Leon, not helping the situation in the slightest. The mere fact that it wasn't her hanging up there was baffling, really. If anyone was going to be stuck up there, she figured it'd be her.

    "What... should I do? To, uh, get you down," she asked cautiously, looking around for some sort of knot she could tug at to set him free.

    [size=8]Four days. Four days she'd spent limping around in that godforsaken cave, where light didn't reach her eyes and her footsteps loudly echoed each time she stepped. It'd been hell. Her eye was still wrapped in bandages, her body scraped and scratched from her fall down into the cave. Dried blood sat, crusty and sticky on her blue pelt.

    Did they even know I was gone? The thought rolled around often in her head. She was known for taking long walks, wandering off in the middle of the night to stroll, waking up extra early to catch the sunrise. Perhaps nobody thought anything of it when she wasn't around in camp. The thought made her cringe each time. She could have died down there, and nobody would have known. Not even Topaz.

    A paw could be seen emerging from the cave; soon following it, a second. With her last ounce of strength, Sapphire pulled herself up and out, flopping on the sturdy ground outside. She was silent for a moment, staring at the grass quietly. "...It's so bright," she finally murmured with a tired, trembling laugh, shaking her head. Don't cry, just get back to camp. That's all you have to do. The paladin stood weakly, staring upwards. Home sweet home.

    /she'll be active again, I have steady access to wifi!

    [size=8]"Oh," was all she could say in response, throwing her paws up. Sapphire laid in the grass, wiggling slightly. "Oh... well? Haha. I guess it still doesn't change th' fact that I... like... girls? Is that riiiight?" it was more of a question to herself, and she shrugged, rubbing her nose pretty fiercely. It seemed to itch her. "Heheh, girrrrllls. Gurrrrllllllls. Giiiiiiirls!" she kept slurring the word, finding different, unique ways of butchering its pronunciation.

    [size=8]Unlike the effect the mint had on Matty, Sapphire was drawn in by it, nose twitching curiously towards her smell. She followed it somewhat mindlessly at first, having had no particular destination to her wandering. However, as she drew closer, she pieced two and two together and immediately stopped her sniffing, face reddening. It hadn't come from a plant after all. It was somebody's natural scent, it seemed. She couldn't just, what, go around sniffing people! ...No, that's not it. I can't go around sniffing... girls. People might... ugh. She blinked away her thoughts.

    Regardless, she still came closer, her worries slightly set at ease by the female's calming power aura. She couldn't even tell it was happening; Sapphire's powers were physical, not mental. As such, her mind was weak in those areas and easily manipulated.

    "I'm... um, Sapphire," she stated quietly, her voice lacking much confidence. Though of course it was. She'd been beaten, bruised, and gotten stranded in a cave for days all in the past month. She wasn't even sure if she were blind underneath all of her bandages. Not to mention, dealing with her sexuality in such a short time was taking its toll mentally. "A... um, Paladin," she added on, following Matty's example.

    [size=8]/granted!

    "I..." she stared at Tama for a short period before aiming to hug the leader, happy to see someone so soon. While it would have been necessary, she was dreading the walk back into camp. It would have confirmed or dismissed her fears that nobody had noticed she was missing, and having her doubts confirmed... she didn't know what she would have done.

    "I tried to do it, Tama, I really did," she began, chest heaving. "I wanted to - to, u-um, prove myself? So I, uh, I, went in, um," she motioned towards the cave. "But I got lost, I couldn't do it." Why was she saying these things? Certainly she was fine. She climbed out, after all. I shouldn't be making this scene. I should have came in during the night, or more stealthily, or, hey, what a revolutionary idea: not gotten lost at all!" She was almost determined to blame herself for her wounds, her troubles in the cave.

    Sapphire hadn't noticed the others arrive. She found her words drying up, and didn't say much else. Embarrassed, she took a step back from Tama. Right. No causing a scene. At Crispus' offer, she shook her head no. She didn't need anything, right? She'd eaten mice she'd found in the cave, she wasn't going to starve. There had been few scarce sources of water. She'd live.

    Sapph was glad to see Desmund arrive, and offered him a small, tired smile that disappeared as quickly as it'd showed up. His pulp - whatever it was - stung, and she winced, but Sapph didn't say anything. She bit down on her tongue, trying not to wince away from the pain. Just a little longer and then I can go. I've already said... enough, they don't really want to hear all that. It's nice of them to help my wounds though.

    However, her relative state of calm was destroyed at Mary's suggestion to remove her bandages. "N-no!" she exclaimed. She felt her face heat up. "I-I mean, not, I, um," well, shit. She tried to steady herself, ears flat on her head. "I... um, don't know if... it's healed," she explained sheepishly, her one good eye flickering between those there. "I don't know if I'm... blind in that eye." There, she said it. She was afraid of finding out.

    [size=8]Sapphire could only watch as flames erupted around Mercy's feet, not trusting herself enough to use her water powers. She hadn't dared, not since she'd had her accident. She still needed to take her bandages off and see if she was blind or not.

    Pushing those thoughts away, Sapph took a quiet seat next to Tama, hoping that the leader would know exactly what to do in order to help the situation. She knew these things, correct? She was confident and level-headed. It sure seemed that way, based on what she was currently saying towards Mercy.

    [size=8]/basically clan life but with the opposite of your char's personality!

    "Ooh, yes, hell yeah, keep at it!" Sapphire's voice was loud and proud, egging on a clanmate as they sparred with another. Her one eye was trained on the fighting, a grin stretched across her face. Embers swirled eagerly around her, flying up into the sky when taken by the wind. She was enraptured by the movements of her clanmates. Back, forth, dodge, attack, repeat. She began to memorize some of their patterns, watching with satisfaction and wonder as some of her predictions became true. Still, she found it even more satisfying when they weren't, when her peers could surprise her with a new move or style of fighting that she hadn't seen before.

    One feline, the one she'd been rooting for, pushed the other to the ground in a final attack and pinned them down, winning the spar. "Whoa, hell yes, that was awesome!" Sapphire cheered, little sparks of fire crackling in the air around her. "Great job!" She was truly enraptured by the two who had fought, and watched them go off with a wide grin.

    The red cat stood taller and puffed out her chest. Her right eye was charred beyond repair, and half her face was furless, covered instead with burn scars from an accident when she was very little. Sapphire wore them with pride; they were hers, a story to tell to everyone she met. It may have been ugly, but she was absolutely convinced they made her look badass. Her legs and torso were covered in small scratches, bruised in places and even sometimes burned. Again, she took it in stride. Each one she remembered quite clearly, and her pride swelled with every new bump she got.

    "Hey! Who wants to spar with me? I'm gonna use all the firepower I've got," she warned, blowing a puff of flame into the air.
