    [size=8]She'd felt a little bit of the wind from where she stood, and Sapphire shivered, looking up in awe at Salamander's journey across the sky. "The wind did that! Wow," she marveled, looking up at him for a few moments with a dazzled, goofy grin. However, hearing Zero, she soon snapped back to her senses, looking embarrassed. "Oh, um, right. If you want, I, uh, could go get some, um, pillows? Just in case?"

    /retro to her injuries

    [size=8]Sapphire couldn't have gone even before her incident. She would have been too timid, too flighty; even now, she felt slightly nauseous thinking about if she'd been caught in the middle of a battle. But she just felt too tired to care. The painkillers she'd gotten for her cheek and eye did a number on her energy.

    She stood next to Tama silently, staring down at her feet, praying that everyone would come back healthy. Sapphire couldn't forgive herself if someone was hurt because she hadn't been there, no matter how unlikely that scenario was.

    [size=8]"Um, I can," the blue feline volunteered, wincing when she spoke. Bruises covered the left side of her face, and it hurt to talk. Sapphire was silently thankful, however, that something more important hadn't been damaged in her breakdown, like her leg or even her neck. The icicle was close to that area. A few inches to the left and- well, she didn't want to think about it.

    "I'll take... the green one, if that's, um, alright?" God, she even sounded tired. ICly it'd been a few days and she was allowed to roam camp again, but she still had to take her painkillers. And, of course, keep the bandages plastered over her eye. She was afraid that when she took it off, she'd still only be able to see black. If she was blind in her left eye, she wanted to be ignorant to that fact just a little longer.

    [size=8]Still staring at Salamanderpaw, she murmured, "Uh... yeah, I'll go get pillows. Um, hang tight!" she yelled toward her peer, dashing off to find some. It took a few minutes, but when Sapphire returned, she had a few pillows crammed into her mouth and one on her back. She spat them out and arranged them as best she could, wiping her drool in the process. "Um... they, uh, might be covered in spit? Sorry," she sheepishly apologized. "But, uh, much better than landing on the ground."

    [size=8]//GOD BLESS

    [size=8]//sorry for the late response!! and also sapphire pls forgive me,,, omg

    When she woke up, Sapphire would surely be mortified she'd created a scene. Horrified, more likely. She would figure she dragged out all these people in the middle of the night with her "self-pitying moans" and "over-the-top drama." Not once would the thought flash in her skull that... maybe she just needed a little help.

    But for now, she was almost peaceful, chest rising and falling almost steadily, albeit slowly. She was out cold. Even their voices didn't stir her from her sleep. The blood pooling around her cheek was beginning to cool, though the blood coming from her wounds was still warm. It was good she was found as soon as she was; while her injuries alone weren't life-threatening, the excess bleeding would have been a problem. She may have been prone to infection as well.

    Most importantly, the icicle, without support of her powers, was beginning to melt. It was slow, but it dripped onto her face, mingling with her blood.

    // Bella yes omg they need to be friends, would a private thread be okay??

    but oof yeah whenever I try to put little hints into sapphire's posts, it usually ends up being a giant billboard of whatever her next plot is going to be omg

    [size=8]Like the others, Sapphire was drawn to Tama from her screams. The blue feline had done her best to hustle over, the drugs and painkillers in her body still slowing her down. She made it, however, and took a seat on the outside of the circle, figuring anyone else going near Tama and her newborns would become a bit crowded. Still, she poked her head to the side, eager to see, even with just one functional eye at the moment. Sapphire grinned, feeling joyful for one of the first times since her breakdown. "Wow!" she mumbled, staring at the writhing babies in awe. She was that small, once. Everyone was! It was truly amazing.

    For now, she just stared, too captivated to say much else.

    [size=8]Sapph had been just about to complement Coolpaw as well; she'd arrived a little earlier, happening to overhear from where she was lounging. The rapping was a nice distraction from how loopy her meds had made her feel, after all. Rhythmic styles of music helped to refocus her, even if rap wouldn't be her first choice. Had she been exposed to much music at all, Sapphire would probably go with something softer, lighter. Maybe even without lyrics at all; from the one or two times she'd heard it, she seemed to like the flute.

    But when Fenton spoke, she flattered her ears and shuffled a bit closer to Jasper and Tama. That was completely uncalled for, but she didn't want to get in the crossfire. If he insulted her like that, Sapphire wasn't sure she'd be able to even speak back to him.

    [size=8]omg diamond/pearl was my LIFE

    it was the first pokemon game I ever played =') I was so bad w type matchups that it took me literally like 58 billion tries to beat the pokemon league, and by the time I finally did legit all of my pokemon were like 20 levels above where they were supposed to be idek how it happened

    [s]then again I also nicknamed my piplup "buley," thinking it spelled "blue-y" so

    [size=8]She was the first to arrive, though Sapphire had a little bit of trouble focusing in on where Steelblues stood, her vision still blurry. The eye underneath all of her bandages was underworked, and her right eye - her only source of sight - seemed to be getting overworked. She pushed at it, blinking a few times before approaching him fully.

    "I'll, um, go get her if she, um, doesn't show up soon," Sapphire spoke. She felt defeated but was fighting to hell and back to not let that show. She stood up straighter and tried to speak as clear as she could. But recovering from something like this was tough, considering she'd never had to do it before. For how much she loved "new experiences," this one wasn't high on her list.

    [size=8]"Oh! Uh, I'll, um, keep that in m-mind, thank you," she stammered towards Tama, nodding. Okay, crowd was getting bigger. She felt her heart beat a little faster, but immediately began to try and lower it, relaxing her muscles and taking a breath. She just went through this. Sapphire wasn't going to have a 2-for-1 deal here.

    "And... um, I think so!" she answered Tama's question, biting her lip. "I-I mean I go on walks sometimes, uh, it's really nice outside. The moon is nice." That part was true. She loved the moon, the stars and the sense of tranquility that fell over the island.

    [size=8]This was... late, but in her defense, she had a scratched up face and "schrodinger's eye" going on. If it's underneath the bandages, it's both blind and not blind, because we don't know until it's unwrapped, she thought with a little scowl, shaking her head. Well, that was irrelevant right now. She had to make macaroons.

    Not that she... knew what they were. But it just took a lot of sugar, right? And milk, probably. She'd taken a big bowl, dumped some sugar in, poured the milk with it and then added some eggs. LOTS of eggs. And, well, she figured, why not some flowers too? The creative process extended to cooking after all, and she was probably some sort of culinary genius at this point. (She also added a little bit of glitter, because how else was the food supposed to sparkle like it did in those commercials?) And besides, she was having fun. The task of cooking had taken her mind off of her worries, even if just for the time being.

    A kind NPC had helped her stick it into an oven (nevermind where it was even plugged in), bake it for thirty minutes, and take it out. Surprisingly, they weren't burnt... but she'd added so many eggs into her bowl of pure sugar that it was a strange, brownish lump, colored slightly green in some places due to the flower. (Of course, the whole thing had a golden sparkle to it. She was really proud of that.)

    "Hey! I made macaroons!" she stated proudly to passerby, looking thrilled. She was a cook! Err, "cook."

    [size=8]"Is it... safe?" she stated quietly, staring down into the cave with her one good eye. The fur on her back bristled. In the back of her mind she knew nobody would force her to go, and she was thankful for that. But another part of her did want to see the inside of the cave. Sapphire still hadn't actually seen her namesake; she'd heard it was a pretty blue gem, one that shone like the ocean. She wasn't sure where they formed, but hey, this was a floating island. There was a shot at least.

    "If you two are going, um, could I... go?" she stated finally, watching Storm and Leon through her one undamaged eye. They'd keep her safe, right? She trusted them.

    [size=8]She'd never had to deal with physical pain in her life. Soreness, sure, after a day of hiking, or maybe sometimes, when her anxiety became too much and she had those acute pains in her chest. But never something like having her eye gouged, a gash in her cheek that took days to heal. These injuries would leave scars.

    It hurt. Simple and plain and she hated it. Her eye throbbed underneath her bandages and her skin stung where the icicle had punctured her cheek. It was constant and never let up and she couldn't even speak without a sharp flash of pain in her jaw.

    She'd been left with some kind of medication: poppy seeds, or maybe human pills, she didn't know the difference. But they helped less and less each day, after she became used to them. One seed turned into two, two into four, and soon enough, Sapphire was groaning and taking much more than recommended, her body heavy with sedation.

    She wandered out into the camp, stumbling a little. Essentially, she was high on meds. The pain on her face had dissolved into a light throb, though her heart beat somewhat erratically and her head buzzed.

    "Everythin's so fuzzy," she slurred, brushing her paw over the grass with a giggle. "An'... heyy e'rrybody! I'm a homo... I think. GAY! Haaaah that's gay. Liiike, really, I'm so..... so much an' I hate m'self. It's gross, isn't it? Tha's why I put a popsicle in my face," she slurred again, motioning to the bandages over her eye. "But it's like... wrrrong, the gay, tha's wha' they say... ohh, who's 'they' anyways, jeeeez." Sapph stumbled again and fell, landing with a slight "oof." She stared at the ground, as if trying to figure out what it was, eye narrowed in concentration. After a while, she began to brush the grass again, focused on how it swayed.

    "But... gurrllls amiright... man that lady was right," she mumbled. "I AM a d... di... diiiick. I'm a dick n super... gay." She probably meant to say the other "d word," the homophobic slur that an NPC had called her one morning. She rolled around, trying to be tickled in the grass as by now her whole body was numb and pleasantly fuzzy.

    //I'm crying I need to make her high more often

    [size=8]ohh dang the closeted gay plot would have been good, sapph's gay and feels the exact same way omg. she's too old though, she's around 15/16 moons

    if they could be buddies that'd be good though! =)
