[size=8]Sapphire stuck to the side of the rainbow-hued group, gazing curiously at the floating islands above their heads. It was no less than a miracle that they stood strong despite the combined forces of wind, rain and gravity that must have worked to erode and pull them down over time. Silently she imagined what the view must be like from the top; to have the wind curl her fur, to be able to see for miles. The thought left her nervous, her stomach twisting into knots. This was going to be their home! Incredible.
"Do you think we can... um, go up there, right away?" Sapphire wondered aloud, frowning. "Or will a patrol be down here?" She bit her lip, humming a small, fast tune as she walked. The blue feline felt terribly impatient at that moment, and brought one of her paws up to scratch a nagging itch at the back of her neck. She always got like this when she was nervous; her whole skin felt uncomfortable, like everywhere just didn't fit right. It'll go away once we're there, she assured herself, still staring upwards.
-
[size=8]A little whine emitted from her throat as half of her friends began to sprint forward. Weren't they tired from all the walking they just did? She, for one, felt like a limp pile of noodles. Maybe they were just more athletically inclined than she was.
However, Storm's question distracted her from those thoughts and Sapphire beamed, turning towards him while silently chastising those who had already run ahead. "We're all here to join," she stated, waving a paw behind her. "I'm Sapphire. Um. You guys want to introduce yourselves?"
-
[size=8]It'd been a few hours since she ascended the stone stairs up to the floating islands and officially joined BlizzardClan, yet Sapphire couldn't seem to get used to the phenomenon for the life of her. As she ran around, her fatigue from earlier evaporated and the blue feline found herself more energized than ever as she stared off the edge in wonder at the world below. Never before had she felt such excitement; perhaps her life was dull until now, but she looked at that as a positive. Living here would be a change!
Oh... yeah, that's right. It's gonna be a change, she thought to herself, a pit dropping in her stomach. A big, life-altering change, even. Sapphire tore her gaze away from the world below and dropped it to her feet, biting her lip. God, her skin - it was beginning to feel uncomfortable again. She hated that; whenever she was nervous, her body felt like it just shouldn't have been there, like it was trapped. "Ohhh god, why'd I have to ruin this," she muttered quietly. Well, it isn't all bad, I mean, I've got the other gem-named cats. Yeah. Yeah! Gotta be positive.
Briefly rubbing her face, Sapphire got up and stretched. It was about three in the afternoon; she still had some time to kill before she had to be back.
"Hey, uh, anyone want to go on a patrol with me?" she called. The gemstone-named cat figured it'd be best to acquaint herself with the area, at least. Hopefully she'd meet more people.
-
[size=8]Seeing the two, Sapphire squinted and headed over. As she recalled, these two were present when she joined. The nice one and the grouchy one, of course. The blue feline gave a little nod in greeting. "Hi, Storm, and... um, Fruity Pebbles," Sapphire greeted with a nervous chuckle, recalling what the male had called her group. "I'll try your training," she stated amiably, taking a seat. Her first training! In the back of her mind, Sapphire knew that she should have had this experience as an apprentice, but she hadn't grown up in a clan. Better late than never though... right?

[size=8]Had someone just left a scarf there? Sapphire frowned, peering around to see if the owner was somewhere close. From her angle, she was unable to see the small kitten bundled up inside of it. She thought for a moment before stepping closer, slightly distracted with finding its owner. I t looked so soft, what a shame if nobody would be able to find it! "Hey, uh, someone lose a scarf?" she called, bending over to try and pick it up, still without seeing Cyanidekit. Oops.
-
[size=8]Eyes widening in surprise, Sapphire's maw shot open and she released the scarf - and, consequently, the kitten - and took a step back. "Whoa, uh, didn't see you there, uh," she stammered, evidently confused at what had just occurred. "Sorry. Thought you were part of the scarf, I guess," she nervously chuckled, turning to look at Lewis. Sapph let out a sigh, still moderately embarrassed from having disturbed the kitten. "Uh, hi! Jeez. Noted? Um, I'm Sapphire," she introduced herself to both of them.
-
[size=8]The cerulean feline beamed at the four who had shown, flashing a genuine smile. "Nice to meet you guys! I love your, um, er, our home? By the way. It's," she stopped and took a breath, motioning over to the cliffside, "well, amazing! Um. I'm Sapphire," she quickly reintroduced herself, paws shaking a little from her nerves. "Should we get going? One of you can take the lead, seeing as, well, you know, I don't really know the area," she pointed out with a little grin.

[size=8]Sapphire noticed the snowy pup teleport up onto the islands and made her way over, curious. She didn't smell like BlizzardClan (not that Sapph really did either), so the only other option was that this person was new. At least she couldn't be a threat; after all, she was merely a pup!
"Hey, uh, name and business? Are you, um, lost?" Sapph questioned towards the canine, tilting her head. "This is BlizzardClan."

[size=8]Sapphire was among the group of NPCs called subjects, though she honestly was more fazed by the sight of... whatever that was. "New experiences every day," she murmured, her stomach beginning to cramp up with what felt like embarrassment. Still, she found herself chasing after the doe and her companion, eventually catching up and walking to her side. "Hey, uh, is this a takeover?" she nervously chuckled, trying to make a joke.
-
[size=8]Sapphire had been going to partner up with Moonstone. The cerulean feline was all set to ask when Leon told them that it had to be someone they were unfamiliar with. New chance to meet people, don't get all nervous, she told herself, offering an apologetic glance towards Moon. That basically left anyone for her to pick.
Deciding Storm was relatively kind to her during the few times they've talked, Sapphire walked over to him, stammering, "You, uh, mind if I, y'know, partner with you?"
-
[size=8]Sapphire wouldn't go as far to consider herself in love with the scenery in BlizzardClan, but... nah, she was in love. Most times of day, the cerulean feline was exploring the rims of the island, staring out at the world beyond. Trees below seemed so small, to the point where they blended in with those around them. If she squinted, Sapphire could pretend she was above a field, the trees merely blades of grass underneath her paws. Mountains in the distance were pebbles. Even the sun seemed different up here. It was more spread out, harsher, more white light than she imagined it to be.
Sighing contently, Sapphire laid down on the very edge of the floating island, paws hanging off the side. Plumes of dust, disturbed by her paws, fell down to the earth. This felt right; for the first time, she wasn't worried about intense nervousness she'd felt while being here, or how big of a change this was in her life. She could just relax, focus on the sunset and enjoy her time. Sapphire rested her head on her paws and smiled. Everything would work out alright.
Except it really didn't.
She had been lost in daydreams, but a sharp, loud crack from behind her was enough to startle her out of them. It was about eight o'clock now, and the sun was almost gone. Sapphire rubbed her eyes, going to turn around to see what was the problem, when she felt the ground below her drop. Instinctively she lunged towards land, scrabbling at the surface; she was left hanging at the edge of the island. Below her, a sizably large chunk of dirt fell through the sky. Ah.
"Um!" she shouted, voice slightly strained. She wasn't strong enough to pull herself up without the rest of the ground crumbling and taking her with it. "Um! Hey! I-I need help!" Sapphire yelped, voice three octaves higher than it usually was. "Ohhh... if I don't fall first, I'm gonna throw up," she mumbled to herself, noting her stomach was beginning to feel ill once more.
-
[size=8]Maybe a weekly task would get her mind off of her most recent near-death experience. Sapphire still could see the world below her feet, and she could imagine very clearly what falling through it would be like - from the beginning to when she would have splattered against the ground. It sent a shiver down her spine.
That was exactly why she needed to become a busy-bee. Hopefully she would be given something super distracting or difficult.
-
[size=8]The wind was whistling very fiercely; she only now noticed how frigid it was up here. The cold numbed her body and it took everything in her to hold on until she felt Babyblue grab her scruff and tug her up. Safely on land, Sapphire scrabbled away from the edge, her whole body shaking. She looked around wild-eyed, her gaze finally settling on Babyblue. "Sh- she's an angel!" she stammered under her breath, nervously laughing. "Um! Thank you! You, you, um, you s-saved-" she wheezed more loudly, unable to finish her sentence properly. "Saved, um, me, f-from, the, u-um, y'know, um," she tried speaking again, staring wide-eyed at Babyblue. Her heart hammered underneath her skin, and in her disoriented state, Sapphire wondered if it could break through her chest if it beat hard enough.
Hearing Celina, she turned and gave a huge grin. "I'm, um, o-okay, but only, um, be-because, w-well, she s-saved me," Sapph managed to stammer out, gratefully turning back towards the winged wolf. "Also!" she squeaked, her voice still up a few octaves, "you're, um, r-really pretty! Your wings, I-I mean, um." God, she needed to stop talking. She was still out of breath. Sapphire focused on slowing her heartbeat, glancing back and forth between the two who had heard her cries for help.
