A hidden house, a story never discovered. The ivy covered mansion has existed since mid-evil days. Monsters stalk the halls during the night and students walk them during the days. Teachers hide the truth from the students, just telling them to lock their doors. The students are chosen to be there for a reason. They are all special, though they grew up known as freaks. The university of Special People hosts people with all powers of different kinds.

Background; She grew up normally until age 6 when she first discovered her powers. She accidentally shifted in front of her parents, who instantly freaked out and kicked her out of the house. She shifted to a different form and snuck into an orphanage, living there until she was 17. Everyone thought that she was a guy since she got there and she never cared enough to correct them. Since she had lived most of her life in a different appearance she forgot what she originally looked like. She has started to think of herself as a guy after so many years of being called one. Alex likes to keep to straightened hair instead of her curly hair. So she doesn't get caught she says that her power is only invisibility and that she has no other powers.

Alex walked up the steps to the building, looking around in complete awe. It was the biggest building that they had ever seen and they could say that they were defiantly impressed. " Whoa." They gasped, and started walking inside. Looking down at their schedule, they had to walk around a while to find the right dorm room, 618. Shifting around in their pockets the pulled out the keys from their pocket. Opening the door, the looked up at their room who jumped and spun around to face them.
" Oh! Hi! I'm Dylan, guess you're my roommate." He said holding out his hand for me to shake.
" Oh.. Hi." Alex said, dropping their bag and shaking his hand. Before picking up their bag again and heading over to the other side of the room that wasn't taken. They began to unpack their stuff, stuffing them into the closet.

Alex walked into the classroom and looked around, before taking a seat in the back row. They looked around the room confused, normally people would have been filling the room faster. Emptying the binder they had brought, they put a notebook and pencil on the desk and waited for the teacher to come in by doodling.
" Alright students, take your seat!" The teacher, Mrs. Rheinheimer, said walking to the room and slamming a folder down on the clean desk.

They glanced over at the person who sat next to them and gave a smile before turning back to the teacher. " Having powers should not make you think that you're above someone. You were born with these abilities for a reason. Do not take them for granted." The teacher said starting the lesson.

" Today's assignment is to give me a report on how people have powers and why. You will be partnered with the person sitting next to you, please do not make me believe that I cannot partner you two again." The teacher said, ending the class. Alex stood up and gathered their supplies before looking at the person next to them, handing them a note with their number on it before rushing off to the library.

Alex paused mid-step and turned to look at who called out. Seeing that it was the guy from class he waved with a smile. " What's up?" He greeted, closing the door and leaning against it.

Alex paused, immediately taken aback. They blinked a few times before they burst out laughing," I wouldn't being gay a power, but if it's yours then you're amazing." They said laughing even harder. The bent over hands on their knees from laughing so hard. Little does he know I'm not a guy, they thought, should I be rude? Should I toy with him for a bit? They thought, thinking it over as they laughed, nah that would be mean. " Knock on my door when you're done doing..." They paused," Whatever you're doing."

They started laughing again and opened their door, " Have fun being cool." They said closing the door and flinging themselves onto their bed and taking their laptop out of the bed and turning it on. They got onto Photoshop and began messing around.

Alex groaned loudly, placing their laptop next to them and dragged themselves out of their bed. They looked over at Dylan, who was sprawled out on the couch.They opened the door and saw it was their partner. " Hola partnerio!" They greeted.

They laughed and leaned against the door frame. " I'm Alex, and I worked on some of the paper whilst in the library. You don't have to help if you don't want to, I know 'cool' people don't like doing homework and all." They said, crossing their arms looking at him with a playful glint in their eyes. They were lying anyway, they had only done a sentence and it would take hours to finish the paper by their self.

" Nice to meet you, Z. " They said stepping forward and brushed past him. They went across the hall to the room that they had saw him go into earlier and stood outside the door, finding it rude to go in first.

They looked up at the guy and around the room, which was smaller than their's. They noticed a letter on the table addressed to Alex McHenry and instantly froze. " Um, who's that letter too?" They asked nervously, how did they have their birth name?

" Yeah.. so weird." They said walking past the table, trying to ignore that the university somehow remembered that Alex McHenry existed.

" Oh, um.. Nothing. It's nothing." They said, waving Z off.

They looked back at the paper and sighed, a frown on their face. Alex sat down on the couch and stared at their hands, fiddling their fingers together. They thought over the possibly answers that they could write in the essay, distracting them from the letter.

They saw the thing floating next to him and laughed. " Nice, what's your power?" They asked scooting over to make room for Z.

" Invisibility and.. um.. shape shifting." They answered, muttering the last word under their breath. " Do you want to get started on the project now, though?" They asked.

" O-Oh!" They blushed in embaressment," Sure. What should I shift into?"

They stood and stared at them," Alright." They said, shrugging. They focused on Z's face and body, making sure they got every detail right before closing their eyes. Slowly they could feel their cells changing and their bones growing a few more inches. Gasping out in pain their body snapped into Z's form, they fell forward and grabbed onto the couch in slight pain.

" It's fine, I just haven't shifted in a while." They said shrugging before immediately changing back into their original form and sitting on the couch. " Now can we please get back to the project."

"It's fine." They said before launching into theories for the paper.
