    UNIQUE TRAINING SYSTEM

    INTRODUCTION ──────────────────────────────────────・ 。゚☆

So you're looking at Batfrost for mentor-ship, or you were assigned to him? Good for you! By the time he's finished, you'll be one hell of a warrior. But it won't be easy. Here are a few things you should know about being trained by Batfrost.

    • Batfrost is strict. He will often spend most of the earlier training days drilling discipline into his apprentice, and he expects the utmost respect. Disobeying Batfrost is a sure way to make your live a living hell.

    • Training methods may be considered exceedingly harsh, and even cruel, but in the end, you will have mastered something beyond that of the other apprentices.

    • According to Bats, all your focus must be on training, and mastering whatever skill you're tasked with learning. Distractions will not be tolerated.

    • It is expected by Batfrost that you take training into your own hands at times. Whenever you're not out with your mentor, you'd best be practicing. Sitting around the camp conversing with friends is a good way to earn a lecture.

    • Batfrost hates complaining. It's a good way to loose your dinner for the evening.

    • He hates liars.

    THE TRIALS ───────────────────────────────────────── ・ 。゚☆

Here is an outline, not in order, of what apprentices must complete in order to graduate from Batfrost's tutelage. After completing each section and the final exam, Batfrost will submit an apprentice to the leader to become a warrior. Batfrost often prides himself in creating some of the most well trained warriors in a clan, and so his training is rigorous.

    Discipline

First on the list is discipline. In this section of training, apprentices are taught respect, and that they should mind authority. The elderly are to be respected as well as the young, and loyalty should never be in question unless it directly violates ones moral standards. Recruits are taught to follow even the most absurd orders for the sake of learning discipline. By the end of this course, when Batfrost says "jump", you can bet his apprentices will jump. "Never ask why" is the motto of this course! Apprentices will be tutored on how to care for those in need, such as replacing the bedding of queens and elders. A few exercises will be added during this course that will increase the discipline, patience, accuracy, and strength of the apprentice over time. The apprentice is expected to continue these exercises throughout his or her entire training period. Apprentices will also learn how to meditate during this course. Apprentices may not progress until they have earned Batfrost's satisfaction, and have been able to meditate without interruption for at least one hour. This is a long course that takes place throughout the rest of the training.

    Basic Hunting

The apprentice is taught basic hunting skills that they may practice and use in life. These skills will be built upon later. This is a short course.

    Basic Combat

This course is quite simple in that it only teaches very basic combat moves that will be built on in the future. This is a short course.

    Strength.

In this course, apprentices are taught a few strength building exercises that were not covered earlier. They are taught how to use strength in battle using 'power shots', and other heavy hitting attacks. This is a short course.

    Agility.

Apprentices are taught a few speed and agility increasing exercises. They are also taught how to use said attributes in battle to get the advantage over stronger opponents. There is an agility course in this section. This is a short course.

    Endurance.

More exercises are given to the apprentice in order to increase their endurance and stamina. These exercises will be used throughout training just like former exercises. This is a short course.

    Accuracy.

This course is a bit more advanced. Apprentices will be given exercises to increase their precision to ensure they grant their opponents maximum damage. They will be taught the presence of pressure points in which to cause the most pain possible. This course is a bit like a final exam to the last classes. Apprentices will need to tie in their strength, speed, agility, and especially their discipline, to ensure they excel in this course. This is a long course.

    Acrobatics.

Moving on to more advanced tactics, apprentices will be taught to excel in acrobatics, to ensure they can make that next leap with confidence! Apprentices will learn how to navigate trees with ease in this course. This is a medium course.

    Swimming.

No, Batfrost doesn't expect you to be a RiverClanner, but apprentices should have some grasp on how to 'not' drown. Apprentices will also be taught how to fight in the water, and fish when necessary. This is a medium course.

    Tactics Review.

This is a short review of the past courses in which the apprentice describes what he or she should do against certain opponents. Some leadership skills are taught in this course. Apprentices are taught how to use the environment to their advantage while in 'stealth mode.' This is a short class.

    Stealth.

In this course, apprentices should have practiced their hunting enough that they already have a decent grasp of silence. They will earn a few advanced sneaking techniques such as camouflage. Apprentices will learn various ambush methods from land, water, and up in the trees. This is a long course.

    Advanced Combat.

Finally, you made it this far! In this course, apprentices will learn how to fight with true pride, blindsiding opponents with sheer skill! Apprentices are taught how to use the environment to their advantage in combat. This is a long course.

    Survival.

Considering this a test, apprentices will be lead to a secluded location and expected to survive on their own for three days. Batfrost will be watching from afar.

    Courage.

This unique test of courage is when Batfrost leads his apprentice to a deep cave on the edge of the marsh. The cave is pitch black inside, yet moist and covered in moss. A few deep pools should be avoided while in the cave. Apprentices are expected to spend the entire day meditating inside with no light, food, or association whatsoever. When the sun goes down, they must exit the cave and tell Batfrost of their experience.

    Final Exam.

Like the survivability test, apprentices will not be permitted in camp for the duration of this event. For the next three days they will be hunted by a vicious enemy that is none other than Batfrost himself. Now they must use all their skills in an effort to show they have what it takes, whether it be taking Batfrost head on, managing to elude him for all three days, or managing to successfully ambush him. Those that pass this test will become warriors.

WHAT A WICKED GAME TO PLAY

Coughing. He hadn't gotten used to it yet, the pain in his chest, the gasping for breath in between violent spasms. Even after Owlgaze's treatment, the brute still lingered upon the precipice of consciousness, unable to drift into a peaceful slumber. Being in a nest within the confining warmth of the medicine den was a welcome change to the temperature in the main cavern outside, but nevertheless, Tigerflame tossed and turned, dragging his claws against the cold stone as if the force of his gestures would ease the suffering he had been made to endure. Finally, after hours had passed of fitful movement, the warrior uttered a heaving sigh, and forced himself to his paws. It was late, dark, nothing but a sliver of moonlight to illuminate the outside of the den, seeping into the stone tunnel like the sickness that crawled through his veins.

Tigerflame hovered for a moment, standing away from his nest, exposed to the lashing cold that gripped the bitter atmosphere. A shiver seized his frame, and another cough, just as painful as all the last. That was when he heard it, the sound of...something unidentifiable within the clearing, outside of the den, the noise of paw-steps, and a strange object dragging against the stone ground. Who else would be awake so late in the frigid evening? The warrior wasn't certain, but unrest and curiosity drove him forth to find out. His earthen hued frame of muscle and tabby fur slithered out into the celestial moonlight that bathed the shadow to pierce dark crevices, one eye of blistering gold scanning the blackness that lingered upon the edges of the shimmering light. That orb of scorching fire narrowed when he deduced the location of the noise, steadily moving toward the camp exit. Though the darkness, the male's piercing gaze spotted Briarheart, and the items she was dragging away.

Icy vines and glacial thorns wrapped around Tigerflame's fast beating heart. There it was, the items he had not quite forgotten about, but had hidden away, determined never to look upon them again. Seeing them brought a surge of brutal memories to the forefront of his twisted mind, and he wondered what the other DarkClanner could possibly intend to do with his formerly prized accessory. Briarheart didn't look very happy, but in the deep shadow that engulfed her frame, it was hard to decipher any sort of emotion, but given her direction, it soon became clear that she was moving toward the exit. Was her purpose to be rid of the items, then? Something sparked within the dark soul of the former BloodClan deputy at the thought. He should just let them go, let her take it all away, his past, his memories, his final ties to his former home. He should turn around, and try to get some sleep. But instead, he couldn't help but feel a sense of anger swallow his mind.
