What ever happened to us being on a first-name basis?" Suppressing a light chuckle, he would offer his pretty companion an easygoing smile, a playful glint just barely discernible within the depths of his amber hues. Ah, well, so much was to be expected of the strict lieutenant of Scepter 4 - how one could be so diligent and work-oriented in times like these was something the likes of him would perhaps never understand. Nevertheless, it was an admirable trait - perhaps one day in the near future, he'd tell his fellow clansman that they ought to try taking a leaf out of her book... or when he was reunited with them, whenever that would be. He was in the same boat as the other - separated from the rest of his group by unexplained causes and means. However, he wasn't too dissatisfied with the way things had turned out - there were far worse ways he could've ended up, than traveling together with a beautiful lady, no? While he wasn't sure as to whether or not she only found his presence to be tolerable or genuinely appreciated spending time with him, he could certainly say that he enjoyed her company. Outside of work, Seri's professional attitude was gone - replaced with a girlishness that he found to be surprising but not in any way excessive, and an amiability that made her pleasant to be around and easy to open up to.
And by virtue of this lovely summer afternoon, it seemed the sunlight had melted her normally frigid demeanor, leaving her with just her elegance and that natural cordiality he so often liked to indulge. Of course, given the fact that they were friends (he insisted on calling it such, despite all the times they fought whenever their respective groups butted heads), he liked all aspects of her personality, but she was much easier to interact with like this. With a tilt of his head, he then permitted himself to respond to her inquiry, still keeping up his whimsical banter, "Wrong place?" he echoed, blinking in a somewhat incredulous fashion. "No, no, I can assure you that I'm quite good with directions, Seri-chan. And I can't believe you'd imply that you're accusing me of wasting your time! Isn't hanging out with me enough?" Having detected the lack of weight in her words, he knew it was quite safe for him to act like this. Besides, he was being entirely truthful - about not having gotten them lost, that is. If anyone was bad with directions it was her - she'd even told him so herself the other day.
