Water. Earth. Fire. Air. Long ago, the Lion Turtles were the protectors of mankind. Then, everything changed when the Avatar was created. Only the Lion Turtles, masters of all four elements, could protect us from the spirits, but when the avatar was born- they vanished. 60 years passed and mankind struggles to live among the spirits. And Although our courage is great, we have a lot to learn about bending. But I believe that we can change the world

Introduction
Avatar Wan changed the world when he obtained the power of all four elements. Humans were finally able to enter the spirit world without fear. They were able to protect themselves, but of course they lost the protection of the Lion turtles. Not all people were happy with this. There are some who blame the avatar and want their old lives back. They wish to return to the old times when humans and spirits lived separately. Others; however, feel that the world has changed for the better. This rift divides not only humans, but also the spirits. Some spirits despise the humans, while others disagree. It's up to the new avatar, Yoshi Mai, to restore balance to this war-torn world.
The World

The Ice Lands
The Ice Lands are home to the neutral humans. They don't care one way or the other. If this world is to stay this way, they are fine. If it is to go back to the old-ways, they are fine. Both Benders and Non-benders live here.
Laws:
Benders and non-benders are equal.Spirits are not to be angered, unless a spirit attacks first.
Bending against another person, or using bending in any aggresive way is unacceptable.
The Homage
The Homage is home to the people who long for their old world back. They wish to live with the Lion Turtles again and wish for bending to be gone. Both benders and non-benders live here, but there is tension between the two as they want bending to be gone. Benders who grow up here are taught their whole lives that they are an abomination, and they believe it.
Laws:
Benders are an abomination. They should not exist. It is their obligation to use their curse to protect humans.
Benders are not allowed to have any relations. This includes marriage, any child born by a bender will be taken into custody. If the child is human they will be given a new set of parents; if they are a bender they will be terminated.
Any form of bending not used for combat against the Ardor, the Ice Lands, or the spirits is forbidden.
Spirits and humans are enemies.
The Ardor
The Ardor is home to the people who embrace this new world. They love this new world and this new power known as bending. Both benders and non-benders live here, but in many aspects Benders are given priority and privilege.
Laws:
Benders are the future of Man-kind.
Non-Benders are the last remenants of the old world. It is the benders duty to protect them, and non-benders are expected to give the Benders the Respect they deserve for protecting them.
Spirits are here to stay. They are not to be fought. Aggressive spirits are to be dealt with in the least violent ways possible.
Bending is encouraged.

(personality) Ari is kind and caring. She is very motherly and takes care of everyone as if they are her own cubs. She can be a bit impatient or rude at times, but she always has everyone's best interest at heart. She is sarcastic a lot and can often be found studying new herbs and treatment methods.(history) Her father died before she was born. She grew up in the pride and always loved watching the old healer. Her mother died when she was 1 year old and the old healer died soon after. Ari became the new healer, and also managed to heal her own personal wounds from her mother's death. She has moved on and has made taking care of the pride her life's purpose.

On the Inside
Three word Bio: Passionate, Impatient, and Kind.
Personality: Mi-ja is very emotionally driven. She relies on feelings rather than facts. She prides herself on being a kind, compassionate person, but when she gets angry; she gets angry. She is very impatient and hates waiting on anything- even people. Since she is very emotionally driven her moods tend to fluctuate a lot leading to mood swings.
Goals: "I just want things to be normal again- and don't say it's impossible."
Fears: "Being alone is the worst thing ever." She fears isolation, showing weakness, and confrontation with guys. If a guy raises his voice at her, or gets angry, she freaks out and kinda shuts down- this stems from her growing up with an abusive father..
Family: She grew up with her father and mother. She was an only child. Her parents were always kind and good to her, but her father had a problem with hitting her mother. She grew up in fear and it shaped her perspective of men forever.

Casual Appearance: She normally wears jeans, a plain t-shirt, sneakers, and her blue cardigan.
