She watched the water, her eyes glimmering with curiosity. It was clear she had never met anyone like her in the way she gazed at him while she watched him using his powers. His seemed so much calmer than her own. Some days she struggled a lot to keep her powers under control.
"At least now neither of us have to defend our cities alone." She tried to be optimistic, noticing how he seemed to suddenly be down. She figured he must have either been close to the last super or had been there to see him die. "I've never worked with another super before. Or met one." She admitted, knowing it was better for him to know she had previously worked alone so he wouldn't be surprised if she was bad at the whole team work thing.
It was then that the thought struck her. Tomorrow was her first day at the high school she should have gone to for all four years of high school. Instead she only had one year, but she'd make it work. "I should probably get going... I have a busy day tomorrow." She told him, flashing a small smirk his way. She had to hope that she didn't stay up too late and sleep in the following morning. That was not the first impression she needed to make at this school.
