When Lucifer heard the voice speak to him, he froze in his steps. He turned his head to see the demon approaching him. He felt his chest tighten up a little, but he forced himself to stay calm. He pretended not to acknowledge the demon. He's just here to screw with me, he tried to reassure himself. If he starts trying to bug you, you can take him on. Of course this was a lie, but sometimes Lucifer had to lie to himself.
The dark haired angel did, however, blush a little when he heard him call him cute. He actually glanced at the demon when he asked for his name. "Lucifer," he replied flatly to the demon. "And you really shouldn't be here. I'm sure you understand how it is. Just business." He tried to keep his voice even. He wasn't really sure if the demon even bought his act of not being scared or not.

Asher smirked a little. He didn't realize it at the time, but his cheeks had turned a gentle pink color. 'Heh, I guess that'd be a pretty funny scene to witness.' The mental image of an eight year old chucking a baseball at Jay was pretty amusing.
When he set his phone down, he realized he could see the pink in his own cheeks. Something in his chest twisted. Am I... blushing? He shook his head a little, combing his fingers through his hair. No.. I can't be blushing. I'm just.... Not blushing. He sighed. Okay, maybe he was blushing a little. But why? he wondered. Why the hell am I blushing?

Asher frowned a little when he noticed Jay wasn't responding. He hoped he hadn't said anything. He had that effect on people. That's why he didn't have many friends. Maybe it's just because he's doing something else, he tried to reassure himself. While he waited for a response, he decided to go get something to eat.
Taking his phone with him, the redhead left his room to see what food he had in the kitchen. He passed his mother, who payed no attention to him. He opened the cabinets, his hazel eyes scanning the shelves. They didn't have that much food. They mostly ate out as a result of that. He did, however, found a bag of chips. He grabbed the bag and started back to his room. "Don't spoil your appetite," his mother called after him, "We're going to leave in thirty minutes to the cafe to eat." He didn't reply and disappeared in his room. He noticed Jay still hadn't texted, so he decided to sent a text. 'So what are you doing right now?' He hoped it didn't seem like he was an over attached person.

Asher half smiled, then he replied, 'Nice, I'm not going much either. I'm eating a bag of chips.' He ate a chip as soon as he sent the text. He wrinkled his nose as he realized the chip was very stale. He checked the expiration date on the bag and realized they were past due date. 'Correction. I was eating a bag of chips. Not anymore. I just realized they're expired.' Once he added that to his previous message, he threw the bag away. No use keeping them if nobody was going to eat them.
He grabbed a piece of paper. I might as well get started on a shopping list, he thought. Maybe I can go after we eat. He wrote down 'chips' as the first item, then he tried to think of what else he could eat.

Johnnie Black never tries to attract attention. He avoids being friends with people. In fact, he tries to avoid being around people. The only time he is really around people is during school. He's a loner, which bullies usually make a beeline for. If they're alone, nobody can stop the bullies from hurting them. Johnnie is use to this routine. However, one day, (Y/C), who is the school's infamous bad boy, stops the bullies from hurting Johnnie. In turns out that (Y/C) wants a favor. (Y/C) and their significant other had a falling out, and they broke up. Now, (Y/C) wants to make them jealous, and they want Johnnie to substitute as a fake boyfriend to (Y/C). In return, they will keep the bullies off of Johnnie's back. Johnnie reluctantly agrees to this. While in this fake relationship, (Y/C) and Johnnie learn a lot about each other, and real feelings begin to blossom between the two.
All I ask of you is that you post more than one sentence per post. I also wouldn't mind it if you had proper grammar, spelling, and punctuation. This thread may contain abuse, self harm, swearing, and drinking. If we reach a mature part, we'll fade out and fade back in if you request it.

As soon as the bell rang for school to end, Johnnie left the room. He just wanted to get home and start on his homework. It would give him an excuse to stay in his room and away from his father. It also gave him an excuse to get away from the bullies faster. Two jocks always chased him down after school. If he hurried, he could miss them.
He probably would have missed them if he hadn't tripped and ran into somebody. He mumbled a quick apology before continuing on his way. However, before he could leave the double doors, a pair of rough hands grabbed him by the shoulders. He found himself being slung into the lockers, his head harshly hitting the cold metal door. He bit his lip, softly letting out a whimper of pain. "You didn't think it'd be that easy, now did you?" the taller one sneered as he tightened his grip on the boy. "This'll teach you to run from us." Johnnie suppressed the urge to sigh. Just another beating he could take. A basic routine now to him.

'Ha, maybe so. I was too hungry to care to look at it. Arrest me.' Asher smiled to himself, then he set his phone back down. He picked up his pencil and added a few more items to the list. After checking the time, he guessed it was time for him to start getting ready to go to dinner. He exchanged his sweatpants for jeans. Grabbing the list and his phone, he left his room.
He put the list on the bar beside his mother. "We need to go shopping after we eat," he spoke as he grabbed his shoes from beside the door. His mother didn't reply, just nodded her head. "Go get your brother," she spoke before closing down her computer. Asher walked to his brother's room. The door was closed. He banged on the door. "We're leaving. Come on," he called to his brother.

Of all the things to happen, Johnnie did not expect someone to actually interrupt the bullies. He especially was surprised when he realized the person who stopped them was Maxton Law. He gulped quietly when he heard the word 'deal'. What the hell would someone like Maxton want with a nobody like Johnnie? He was called a nobody for a reason. Nobody really cared to know who he was. He preferred it that way. It kept him off the radar of any potential drama or rumors. So what if a bully or two beat him up daily? It was better than being talked about by the whole school.
He reluctantly shook the other male's hand. "Um.. What's the deal?" he asked, a bit timidly he might add. It was no secret that Johnnie was a bit of a coward. Especially when it came to making deals with shady characters like Maxton.

Asher glanced at his phone when it buzzed. He smiled down at the text. 'Aw, man. My record's been so clean. I guess your dad'll be the one to ruin my cleanliness.' He had just hit send when a hand snatched the phone from his hands. "Who are you texting?" Bryce, who had come out of his room unnoticed by Asher, asked. The redhead tried to grab his phone back, but the other male was much taller and held it over his head. "Give it back, asshole," he growled at his brother. Bryce snorted before giving it back to Asher.
"Who's this 'Jay' kid? Your boyfriend?" Bryce taunted. "He's a friend," he snapped, his cheeks turning bright pink. He turned to go towards the living room. "If he's just a friend, then why'd you blush?" Bryce remarked, following him. Asher ignored his brother, but that question did bother him a little. Why did I blush if he asked if Jay was my boyfriend?

Johnnie almost couldn't believe what he was hearing. Maxton Law, of all people, wanted Johnnie to pose as his boyfriend? Why him? Why not some other guy who was public about being gay? No, Johnnie wouldn't deny it. He was gay, but he wasn't publicly gay. He kept it hidden well, considering his father would kill him if other people knew he was gay.
What he was most concerned about, however, is if there was some unforeseen catch. "If I agree," Johnnie spoke carefully, "Is there going to be a catch?" His cheeks were a light pink color now. The ebony haired male wasn't exactly sure why he was even asking this. He should have just told him no. This was a red flag, a major red flag. And yet, for some reason, Johnnie wasn't backing down. He should have said no to the offer of a deal, but here he was now, about to make a deal with Maxton.

Asher smiled a little at the text, just enough so that Bryce wouldn't notice. 'It's clean, I promise. I mean, I never leave the house to do anything to get me in trouble.' As soon as he hit send, he left the house. The rain had finally stopped, and Asher paused to take in the smell of rain on pavement. Asher loved the smell of fresh rain on pavement. Call it whatever you want, but it was a pleasant smell.
Bryce gave him a weird look. "The hell are you doing?" The redhead shook his head as he continued to the car. "Nothing." He hopped in the backseat. He knew Bryce was driving, and his mother would rip his head off if he dared to sit in the passenger's side. I can't wait until Bryce moves away so I can get his car, he thought. Asher could drive. He had a license, however he had no car.

Johnnie stared after Maxton as he left the school, his cheeks burning. I feel like I just made a deal with the Devil, he thought. For a moment, he felt a bit immobilized. He finally shook his head, grabbing his backpack off the floor and sliding his arm through the strap. He winced a little as he felt his head start to throb gently. He must have hit his head pretty hard.
Johnnie exited the school with a sigh. So he was 'dating' Maxton Law now. Of all people... He still didn't quite understand why he chose somebody like Johnnie to even be a fake boyfriend. Probably because he figured you were too cowardly to say no to someone like him, a voice in his head spoke. He shook his head a little, running his fingers through his hair as he started down the street, away from the school.

Johnnie glanced up when he saw the motorcycle stop by him. I guess he's really intent on making this whole charade believable, huh? He forced a smile on his face, although his cheeks were flushed pink from the sudden attention he was put at. "I could use one," he replied, "Thanks."
Johnnie's heart thumped in his chest. What was he doing? He hated motorcycles. They were loud and dangerous. Not to mention Max was probably going to go past the speed limit. And yet, he found himself mounting the ride. He swallowed back his fear and tried not to let it show. Oh well. If we die in some freak road accident, I won't have to go back to my house.

Asher smirked a little. He had figured Jay wouldn't believe him when he said his record was clean. In reality, he wasn't lying. He only ever caused trouble at school. He never actually did much outside of school, however. He mainly stayed at home. On the occasion he did leave the house alone, he usually went to a cafe that usually played live music that was around his house.
He was a little sad when he saw that Jay had to go. 'Okay. Talk to you later, dude.' He hit send, then he proceeded to sigh. Did I really just say 'dude'? Is that the best you've got, Asher? He shook his head a little, slipping his phone into his jacket pocket as he stared out the window of the car.

Lucifer tensed up at the tail wrapping around him. He exhaled, trying to relax. He doesn't seem to want to harm you, he told himself. Then again, Lucifer knew demons were unpredictable. That's what made them dangerous. "Because I'd be force to use other measures to make you leave," he replied flatly. Of course, by 'other measures', he meant calling on one of the archangels to help him out. He knew the odds. He was a weak angel against a demon that was most likely stronger than he was.
Lucifer was very curious as to why this demon wouldn't just beat it. Usually, demons and angels didn't mix like this. If they did meet, there would probably be a confrontation. "And yeah, I know my name is not normal for an angel," he sighed, "I guess somebody found it funny to name me Lucifer." The dark haired angel's gaze flicked towards the demon. There was something different about this demon from the other ones he met.

That worried him a little, so he complied to Max and held on tight. Johnnie was also growing a bit annoyed. Did he really have to call him 'babe' every time he spoke to him? He told the other male his address, trying not to think about all the bad scenarios that could come out of the two of them speeding fast. Worst case scenario, they could crash and die.
Stop thinking about it, he told himself. He hated when he did this. He would overthink, and then he would get scared for no reason. I mean, I have a legit reason this time, but that doesn't make it any less intimidating. He let out a quiet sigh, shaking his head a little. Okay, enough thinking about it. Just think about other things.

When Asher and his family got to the cafe, they chose a seat in the booth. They ordered and waited for the food to come. "How was school?" his mother spoke. Of course, Asher knew she didn't really care what he thought. She just wanted to know whose parents she'd have to apologize to for her son annoying their kid.
Asher gave her a thin smile. "It went fine," he replied. "Nobody got too pissed off today." She gave a nod. Bryce spoke up. "What about that kid you were texting? Jacob or Jack?" Asher narrowed his eyes at his older brother. "That's none of your business. You wouldn't even have known about it if you hadn't taken my phone." His mom gave him a curious look. "What?" Asher sat back. "Ah, nothing. Don't worry about it."

Lucifer slightly cocked an eyebrow at the demon. What was this demon's deal? Could he tell Lucifer was not a threat? The dark haired demon started a little when Ivan touched his wings. He was sensitive on his wings. It was almost like it tickled him.
"I never said I'd kill you," he replied, "I can't make the same promise for the archangels. They're a bit more territorial than I am." Lucifer didn't want to fight the demon. He would if he had to, but he knew the odds of him living through it were slim. He could almost sense the power the demon radiated. It made him intimidated, at the least.

Gerard woke up in the morning. He hadn't even realized he fell asleep. He sat up in his chair, his back popping quietly. I need to stop sleeping in this chair. It hurts my back, he made a mental note. He got out of the chair, thinking back on what he had been doing last night. Oh. Right. Elijah is back. He sighed quietly, running his fingers through his hair. I guess I'll make some breakfast.
Gerard walked into his kitchen, starting up the pot of coffee. While the coffee was brewing, he made himself a bowl of cereal. He gazed towards his bedroom. He figured Elijah could make his own bowl of cereal when he woke up. Or he could make it.

Johnnie's face blushed red. "You too," he replied, getting off the motorcycle. He turned towards his house, walking towards the door. He opened the door and entered the house.
"I'm home," he called into the house. A low rumble from the living room was his answer. He grabbed a drink from the fridge. He knew exactly what his father wanted. He gave the cold drink to his father, who was splayed out in the living room on his favorite chair. He grumbled something before popping the cap and taking a long sip. "Scram. Don't you have homework?" he gruffed after a moment. Johnnie quickly left his presence, heading to his room. He locked the door behind him, setting his backpack on the floor. He sighed as he sat at his desk. What have I gotten myself into with Max?

The rest of dinner was followed by silence. When their food came, they ate quickly. After paying, the three left the cafe. Once in the car, the question was asked. "Asher, who was Bryce talking about in the cafe?" she asked curiously. Asher rolled his eyes a little. "Nobody. I told you. It's just a friend."
Bryce scoffed. "Please. We both know that you're not straight. For all we know, he could be your boyfriend that you're hiding from us." Asher narrowed his eyes. "Shut the hell up," he grumbled, sitting back in his seat. "That's like saying a straight guy's girl friend is actually their girlfriend."
