Hey guys, popping in as I'm going to put Minnowpaw in here soon when I have her sub ready.

[font=times new roman]I know I haven't even posted yet because of some real-life problems I'm sorting out, but may I also get a badge for joining RiverClan during the first week?
(posting something today before I go to sleep, and I will post until next saturday, in which i'll be inactive for a week or more due to problems)

[font=trebuchet ms]Normally the long-furred feline wouldn't make such a big deal about getting to know her clanmates- after all, she had the rest of her life to see and converse with them for all she knew- but today seemed to be an exception. Minnie was the quiet type, and not at all the kind of person to strut her stuff about asking for people's names when, in reality, she would prefer to wait for orders. A follower at heart, the apprentice kept herself tucked into the furthest reaches of RiverClan until she decided it was getting boring being alone. "Hey, um, others," The young female began awkwardly, grasping for words to spit out a proper sentence. "My name is Minnowpaw- if any of you even... care to hear it... uh- Nice to meet you all. Officially." Sort of. She shuffled her front paws, afraid that she was bothering others by speaking up.

[font=trebuchet ms]Minnow and Minnow need to meet, mostly because I am too lazy to change the name think it'd be funny. Mine goes by Minnie at least (since she's kinda short and because it's going to be hard with two Minnowpaws xD). I haven't developed her much except she's kind of awkward, but can be snappy toward others.

[font=trebuchet ms]It was true she had some aspects that didn't quite fit a RiverClanner, like the fact that her fur would probably be too heavy and drag her down when swimming, and the fact that her paws were a bit smaller and wouldn't quite suit their fish-hunting ways, but she was still mostly RiverClan blood. In her mind she would conclude this was due to her grandfather being a loner and the trait somehow carrying through to her, but otherwise she didn't question it much. She could cut her fur with something later, right?

"Hi Molepaw." An awkward smile formed on her maw, looking over the hairless feline without even a trace of disgust or hesitation... aside from that of her formulating her own words. "Likewise. It's great to get to know another apprentice." More friends to train alongside, at least. Gold hues flit down briefly, trying to think of more to say but coming up short as her jaws moved, but nothing escaped them.

The gray-furred feline turned her head as her nickname was mentioned, curiously flicking an ear and returning a softer smile to Newtpaw, tail flagging in a friendly, welcoming gesture. "I'm... not sure to be honest. I slept in a little bit." Ears warm with embarrassment, such a statement would be noticeable what with some parts of her pelt sticking up in odd angles and even a tiny shred of moss showing against her shoulder, which she flicked off with a paw. "I-I mean, if you mean with... me... Uh, nothing much I guess. Still trying to teach myself how to fish better, but that didn't go so well." Her ears pinned back as she remembered submerging under the water and feeling cold to the skin ever since, as if tiny droplets still taunted her by remaining in areas she couldn't clean by herself. Boy, did she need to exercise more.

[font=trebuchet ms]Inconspicuous once more, the small gray apprentice found herself sitting near the edge of camp, pale pink tongue lapping at a similar-colored pad before rubbing over her fuzzy ears, the heat of the sun causing her body to relax from its usual stiffness. I seriously hate Greenleaf sometimes. The feline sighed mentally, now moving her paws to cleanse her whiskers, nose twitching awkwardly at the sensation. Everyone else swims to keep cool, but I prefer Leaf-bare, even with the shortage of food. Well, shortage of fish. There was still the occasional bird and rodent, which they had to go for afterwards.

[font=trebuchet ms]Lazy on a satisfied belly, the shorter, gray apprentice would settle near the Apprentice's den, her tail curled close and a purr rumbling in her chest. Days like these were alright, she supposed, although she didn't quite enjoy the heat like others did. All in all, it felt boring staying in camp, but she needed to be accompanied by a warrior from what she knew, and being a hardly-noticed member (that was a good thing in her mind), she didn't even reach for a mentor yet. Was it for the best? Possibly. She enjoyed not doing anything and pretending to do stuff when others were about, although she did still itch for adventure and hard work. It was just too dang hot out to think about that stuff yet.

[font=trebuchet ms]The swipe caught her off-guard for a moment before she caught a glimpse of the moss falling, an embarrassed laugh drifting past her maw as she smiled faintly, small white teeth glinting past her slightly-parted lips. "O-Oh, oops. Thanks." She didn't want anyone chewing her out later for dozing off again, after all. Minnowpaw noticed Newtpaw staring at the larger mass of clanmates, following his gaze to them. "I hope we can get over this so StarClan doesn't punish us later in the moons." Her voice was a murmur, partially toward herself as she halfway paid attention to the scene.

[font=trebuchet ms]Her ears rose similar to a deer's as a familiar voice called out to her, turning her head to notice the ginger-pelted tom striding over with some prey in his jaws. Well, it would be rude to refuse... even if she had nothing to do with contributing to the fresh kill pile as of yet, unless a twig counted. "Hey Newtpaw." The feline greeted somewhat awkwardly, head tilting slightly as she spoke before allowing her tail to gesture to the empty space near her. "Oh, uh, yeah. I wouldn't mind."

Well, of course she wouldn't mind, it was food after all. With a small, hesitant smile, she made a bit more room to make up for him and the somewhat large fish. "Did you go out training again?" That question had a no-brainer answer, but she was somewhat curious.
