    A cobby tom with a thick torso and tapering tail approached the stranger cautiously. The slight breeze ruffled his short blue fur and dirt somehow made its way into his copper eyes. He crinkled his flat muzzle with annoyance. His instincts usually told him to flea from fire, but this she-cat needed his help. Gently, the tom raised his right paw and tried to wake the she-cat by pressing against her haunches. "Common," he murmured to himself.

    After waking up from a nap, Kanima glanced around the barn, observing every detail of the building. In the hay, a blue figure caught his attention; he had never met this cat before. "Greetings!" Purred the lynx point tom from the rafters above. Climbing head first down the support posts, the Balinese dug his claws into the wood and used his lengthy tail for balance. He grinned at the stranger then introduced himself. "Hello, I call myself Kanima. What's you're name, pretty kitty?"

I'm fond of this place; I could never leave." His green-blue eyes were dreamy and soft as he reminisced about the past. He turned his attention back to Electra with a smile.     Without another moment of hesitation, the tom reached towards the she-cat and gently grabbed her by the scuff. While trying not to drag her across the grass, Andante leapt through the flameless grass. His paws firmly struck the ground as he bounded away from the fire. He reached a safe place close to the barn then splashed a puddle of water into her face.

Flicking his ears nervously and with excitement, the lengthy cat climbed up te side of a wooden house. His claws dug into the painted wall and occasionally trapped themselves in a hard knot.     A rounded, stocky tom with almond shaped, brown eyes glared at the pile of prey hungrily. He had already eaten a crow when he got up, and a plump mouse after giving his apprentice "training." He reached out to give a small rabbit a poke and check for muscle density of the creature.
