Chirin was trying to digest all this information. It was quite a lot. "All right. So this attack happened during the fire."
Famira made her way to the front of the crowd. Time to get this nonsense over with. This wasn't a game, it was her family's lives. "He was green. He was a green ampharos. He was the leader of the gang."
Chirin-chirin paused, thought, and finally shook his head. "I don't know any green ampharos. You can see here--there are a good few differently coloured ones. But no green ones. Do you know his name?"
Famira stomped her foot and shook her head. "No."
-
ooc: I own the green amphy and may be bringing him into it at some point :)
ic: "You saw him?" said Famira, sharply, looking at Blaze. "Where?"
-
"I have a slowpoke to keep track of," said Famira. She couldn't go hurrying after every single pokemon in this place who'd got themselves into a bit of trouble. Not to mention she was quite disappointed that Blaze hadn't seen her enemy after all.
"I can help!" Jack heard from a little further off and went bounding after.
-
"What!" Famira whirled on the torchic. "Stop acting crazy, do you or do you not know where that ampharos is?"
Chirin-chirin had backed away back into his flock. He knew better than to jump into the fray.
-
the tochic just continued. "no! this ampharos wont stop! he started a fire, i watched, he batted me away and i told!" she put her wings to her beak. "i just told again!" she screamed. "now i know i just can't rest, i gotta keep running!" she gasped, and pecked again.
"What? Where?" Famira looked around. "Will you slow down so we can make sense of what you're saying?"
-
"It's high enough ground that it shouldn'," said Famira. "Only a dumb pokemon would head down to a shelter in a place that could flood when it's pouring. This cave looks fine to me."
"Yeah...uh..oh thanks, Blaze." Jack grinned.
-
"There you are!" cried Famira, galloping over to her brother Flare. "Have you seen Little Dude? He's missing!" She was referring to the slowpoke.
-
"It's my fault." Famira struggled to keep her cool, though she was a creature of fire. "I left him in that pool and then ran for cover when it rained. I didn't go get him first!"
-
"I'm going to go looking in the woods further in." Famira had searched around the pool already, and her second plan of action was to slowly increase the area of search, starting from the pool. He was a slowpoke. He couldn't have got far, unless he had had help.
-
Famira burst into view from the brush, somehow her flames not lighting anything despite being heated up with her stress over the missing slowpoke.
"THERE you are!" she cried at Blaze and the aforementioned slowpoke. "Little Dude, I've been looking everywhere."She rushed over to him and nuzzled him. Little Dude was slow to react, of course.
-
"Well, nobody told you to." Famira sighed. "Still...thanks for finding him. He means a lot to me."
"Pohhhhhhhhhhhhke," said the slowpoke.
-
All right. So we can get people to play the rogues or play the survivors.
I'll play a pokemon just happening into the area. Her name is Famira, she is my ponyta.
ic:
A young ponyta filly was moving slowly through the field, stopping every so often to urge along the small companion by her side. "Come on, there you go," she would say to the slowpoke, who often stopped for no real reason other than to enjoy the scenery. But Famira was getting out of the valley for now, or at least out of that area of it. She was heading south through the pass, which she knew would be difficult to do because of the large jumble of boulders that blocked it. They'd have to climb. But for now, she couldn't stay here. It was way too dangerous.
-
Famira had climbed over the pass at last, and carrying a Slowpoke on her back, no less. The exhausted ponyta made her way down a path alongside a rapid river, seeking shelter now anywhere she could find.
-
Famira backed away, unsure. Could she trust this pokemon?
"We're...we're all right." But her flames were feeble and her legs trembled.
-
Famira sniffed at the berries, then ate them. she was tired and couldn't really be bothered to argue.
"Thank you."
-
Famira did feel a little more refreshed after consuming the berries, but it would take more than good food to restore her strength. "We just need a place to rest. Would somewhere nearby here be okay? We won't be a bother I promise."
-
"Threat? No, me and Little Dude just want a place to rest. If you don't want us staying any longer than that we'll be gone in the morning." Famira guessed that the pokemon here had been through something. A ponyta was not normally much of a threat, a slowpoke even less of one.
-
"I'm just tired." Famira knelt down by a little pool of water, and let the young slowpoke climb off her back. The water would be cold but she'd let Little Dude enjoy it if he wanted to. He knew his limits. "We've come a long way. We came from the valley just north of here, and travelled through the boulder pass."

Famira smiled a little weakly back at Fusion. She could already tell she'd walked into a situation that was already complicated when she had got there, and she'd do her best to stay out of the mess. They clearly didn't want her involved anyway.
