Jace was stunned when she briefly kissed him a second time. "You don't even know how long I've been waiting for that." Jace's heart rate calmed slightly. Getting the kiss out of the way made it a little easier to be around her. He wasn't so tense or careful of his actions. "Come on, let's turn on Netflix and see what's good to watch." Jace picked her up and threw her over her shoulder and hauled her into the living room laughing the whole way. Tossing her onto the couch he plopped beside her and grabbed the remote.

Jace looked over at her, "Jacqui, I should have done that sooner in high school. It would have saved a world of hurt for us both. This isn't your fault. You're here with me now, and I intend to make up every missed kiss for the past three years eventually." With that Jace leaned over and laced his fingers in her hair. He pulled her close and gently pressed his lips to hers. He could feel the shock to his toes and let out a sigh when he pulled away. He wouldn't get used to it. Not ever. If he had his way, he'd be kissing her instead of distracting himself with a movie. But he didn't want to frighten her. He needed to ease into things. He smiled and rested his forehead against hers. "God, I missed you."

You. Jace said in his head. "Umm...." He was still trying to get over the fact that she was ticked against his side with her head on his shoulder. He could feel her breathing and her voice was a distraction. It made him shiver. "Ummm..... how about The DUFF? I've heard that girls love it and I figured that you haven't seen it yet. It's hard to have time to do stuff on the road." Jace was babbling and he knew it. He couldn't think straight with her cuddled to him like this but he loved it.

Ooc: sure! To be honest I was gunna do something like that but I can't write too long of a post because I'm sitting in class right now lol. Professor is getting mad.

Ic: Jace flipped through the channels when the door flew open. "Jace! Are you in here?" Teagan's voice screamed. He stomped up the steps but stopped in his tracks at the sight of Jacqui cuddled up to his best friend. "Good news Teagan. You get to sleep on a bunk tonight," Jace said with a smirk. Teagan laughed, "You owe me." Teagan was just happy that things worked out for Jace. He walked to the back and shut the door to get changed. Soon after the door was closed Jace heard Alyssa's voice. "Sh*t," He swore under his breath. Alyssa stomped up the stairs and stopped dead in her tracks at what she saw. You could practically feel the anger coming off of her. She glared at Jacqui and them at Jace. "Are you f*cking kidding me, Jace?" She snarled. Jace gripped Jacqui's hand, "kidding you? With what? What are you talking about?" "I've tried forever to get you to be with me and you just met this b*tch and you're already going to sleep with her? What does she have that I dont?!"

Jace stared at Alyssa stunned that this was even happening. "I don't think my personal life is any of your business, Alyssa. So butt out. All you need to know is I'm not interested in you. Why? You're not my type. Besides, you've slept with half the country by now. That's not attractive. That's just skanky. But regardless, stay out of my personal life." As Jace spoke he became even more angry. He was trying to hide it but almost couldn't help some hurtful words from slipping out if his mouth. Alyssa stood there just staring at the two on the couch. She still couldn't believe that Jace was passing her over for this girl. "Whatever, Jace." Was her great comeback and she turned and left. Not angrily but upset. The tears started to fall when she shut the bus door. Turning, she ran back to the party, she was going to forget all about Jace Johns.

" 'Like' is a nice term for wants to get in bed with," Jace stated a cool tinge to his voice. "Honestly, I'm tired of her constantly trying to get my pants off. She used to be interested in music and now all she's interested in is men. It's sickening." Jace was cut off when Jacqui put her head on his thigh. He stroked her hair mindlessly and smiled down at her. "You don't have anything to be sorry for. That wasn't your fault at all. She's jealous of you." Jace felt like he could lose himself in Jacqui's eyes. Teagan emerged from the back room and sighed. "Am I gunna have to put a divider between you two in order to keep in 'G' around here? And the next thing, am I gunna have to go chase down Alyssa and lick her wounds because I'm not feeling it today, send Jazz." Jace laughed at Teagan's comment. "Leave her be, Tea, she'll come back eventually." Teagan pumped his fist in the air, "Thank the Lord above." Jace flipped through the movies before he settled on The DUFF and pressed play. As the beginning credits started, his thoughts were only on Jacqui.

Alyssa rushed into the crowd her vision blurry from tears. Drunken partiers were on the ground laughing as the fell and some tried to clumsily dance to the music. Alyssa pushed most of them out of the way. She needed a distraction. She tripped over someone's leg and fell to the ground, scratching her palms as she tried to catch herself. Letting out a big sigh she looked up and saw him. All it took was the shock of red hair and she knew that he was the answer. She smiled to herself as she stood. If Jace didn't want her that was fine, but she knew how to take away that girl. That Jacqui. Alyssa could crush him in an instant. She just needed the red-heads help. "Hey cutie," she said sidling up to him, "Let's have a talk." (OH THE SUSPENSE!!!)

ooc: Oh no! I'm sure she still looks beautiful though!

ic: Tess smiled against Gavin's lips as he kissed her. He was always so sweet to her that it was hard to imagine how he used to act. He was still the king of the school and she was still just a nothing photographer but it went so much deeper than that. A nurse came in to the room and Tess pulled away with a blush. "You're almost set to go. We just need a guardian signature since you're a minor so we pulled the number from your records. Your father is on his way to sign you out." Tess's eyes widened at the nurse's revelation. Her father was coming. Now. With Gavin here. Tess felt like she was going to cry. "I....I can't sign myself out?" she asked, her voice a quacking mess. "I'm afraid not, dear. You're still a minor," the nurse replied with a saddened look, "He'll be here any minute to get you though." With that the nurse left the room. The color drained from her face. Her life could be considered to be over. Tess clutched her book to her chest and a tear escaped her eye. She couldn't help it. This was it. Before a few seconds went by she could hear the voice in the hall. "Where is she?! Where's my daughter?!" Tess shivered at the voice, she felt like she was going to throw up. Before she could, her father stepped into the room. "What in the h*ll happened?" he nearly roared, "I get a call that you were in some sort of accident and broke your ribs and I had to find out from the hospital? Are you kidding me?!" He then noticed Gavin sitting in the chair, "And what are you doing here? This was probably all your fault wasn't it? Get away from her!" Tess was shocked at the fact that he wasn't more angry at her, his voice almost had the mask of....concern. Tess looked up when her father rounded on Gavin. For the first time in her life, she back talked. "It wasn't his fault, I walked out into the street and wasn't paying attention. This wasn't anyone's fault but mine." Her father paused before saying, "Serves you right then. Pay attention next time. You're coming with me, there's tons of stuff at home that needs to be done and I had to waste time coming to get your sorry @ss. I'm tired of you running around taking pictures of meaningless things. You'll never be anything if you don't actually DO something, especially at home." With that he flung the blankets from the bed, roughly grabbed her arm, and pulled her to her feet. Tess hissed at the pain and tried to pull away. She couldn't get her feet under her fast enough when he wanted her to stand and so she fell. She bit down on her tongue to keep from crying out as the pain shot through her side. Tears streamed down her face as she struggled to get up before something awful happened.

"So, did you graduate with Jace?" Teagan asked Jacqui directly. Jace looked down at her with a smile. Teagan could tell that Jace really liked this girl and it wasn't from just seeing her today. It was an attraction that had built over the years.

Alyssa grabbed his arm and tugged him to the side. "I'm Alyssa, the bassist for Jace's band. You're the singer for that Jacqui girl aren't you?" She asked, tapping her foot impatiently waiting for his response.

Tess: Tess took a deep breath before standing tall in front of the Prince. Her mind told her that she shouldn't be this brave or bold but her heart knew that if this proposal was going to work, her and Prince Cal would have to act as equals. They would be on the same team and not separated by blood. She took the time to give Cal a somewhat flirtatious and devious smile. She would keep him in suspense for a little while. "Your Highness, I'd like to thank you for everything that you've done for me. You've given up quite a bit for only a Red. I hope you realize that I never intended for any of this to happen but I'm certainly glad that it did. When I gave you that advice in the garden I never thought that you would use it to my benefit," she gave a laugh, a sound that only Clara normally heard. "Prince Cal," she said with a confusion of what to call him now that she was about to be his for the time being, "I choose to accept your proposal under one small condition." She looked over at her best friend, "Clara stay with me and never return to those terrible kitchens. I can't bear to know that she's down there without me. She's guided me through everything, even this, and I can't stand not having her around." She turned to Prince Cal, "Would such a small askance be possible?" she asked, trying to test his reaction a little.

Teagan: Teagan let out a whoosh of air when Tess told his best friend that she would marry him. But there was always a 'but'. When Tess explained her condition, Teagan couldn't help but smile. It sounded like something Tess would do for Clara. He didn't know her well but from Cal's description, he knew that Cal was infatuated and that was enough of a judgement for him. Teagan smiled at Clara. If Cal accepted Tess's terms, and Teagan was almost confident that he would, it meant the Clara would be around more often. Teagan was happy that he wouldn't have to go to the kitchens just to see her. Wait.....Did he really have plans to go to the kitchens just to see her? Teagan was stuck. He was a little confused at what he was feeling for Clara. Was it interest? Attraction? Some sort of Love? What Teagan had once pegged as fascination, now he wasn't as sure. He looked at his best friend, waiting for a reaction from him. Teagan nearly willed him to say 'yes', a thought that sent his emotions out of control again. He really wanted to be around Clara, didn't he? Yes, Teagan realized, Yes he did want to be around her. She was the only girl he had met that made him feel human, not a porcelain doll.

Ooc: I'm so sorry! It's been the weekend from down under....

Ic: Jace laughed and put a hand over his face at the memory of him meeting Teagan. Teagan flashed Jacqui a smile, "At a party, Jace saved my @ss from getting beat. I wasn't very with it that night and ended up making out with a girl who happened to have a boyfriend. I didn't know that. Well then he showed up and Jace had to give him the beat down. I was scrawny back then." Teagan flexed his arms, "but as you can see, I can handle myself now." Jace chuckled, "put the guns away, Tea, we don't want to blind her."

Alyssa smiled, "Well just in case you were wondering, Jacqui is sleeping with Jace tonight. They're in my bus all cuddled up together. I thought you guys were a thing but it looks like that's not the case." She was trying with him and she knew it. She was trying to make him mad.

Alyssa laughed, "Maybe she isn't into doing it with someone she just met but Jacqui and Jace were a thing before this. They've known each other before." Alyssa shrugged, "but think what you will."

Jace's eyes were glued to the screen as he absentmindedly stroked Jacqui's hair. Teagan smirked, "thank you for the concern, dear, but I can take it," He huffed, his ego slightly hurt. Jace chuckled at Teagan's huff. He always took things so seriously.

Alyssa laughed, "Maybe she isn't into doing it with someone she just met but Jacqui and Jace were a thing before this. They've known each other before." Alyssa shrugged, "but think what you will."

Teagan looked at Jace and Jacqui a minute before speaking. "So....what about that red head? I mean, does he know that you guys are a thing?" he asked hesitantly. He just wondered if he would have to back Jay in a fight anytime soon. Jace put his guard up at the mention of Alan. "We're friends, Tea, we're just getting to know each other again. Stop rushing us into marriage. And as for Singer Boy, no he doesn't know and I honestly couldn't give two sh*ts about what he thinks." Jace turned his head and gave Jacqui's forehead a light kiss before moving away from her and to the fridge. He pulled out a bottle of water and downed the whole thing. With Jacqui around, he felt like he was constantly on fire and now was no exception.

Alyssa smiled, "Calm down there killer. We need to plan this out, we can't just go in guns drawn. Instead of beating Jace to a pulp, or ripping Jacqui's hair out, let's settle for emotionally ruining their lives until the run to us. How does that sound, sweetheart?" Alyssa mused, throwing his nickname back at him.

Teagan nearly laughed out loud with joy at Cal's reaction. He knew that he would say yes. If Cal liked Tess as much as he said he did, he would do anything for her. Cal wanted to marry this girl, and once Cal wanted something, Teagan knew he wouldn't give up easily. It was just his nature. At Tess's reassurance of her answer, Teagan chuckled and clapped Cal on the back. "This is certainly the time for celebration, isn't it? What say you that we get a drink somewhere as a small party? I'm sure that you're already planning something big to make the announcement." Teagan flashed the two girls a smile, paying extra attention to the glow that seemed to be radiating from Clara. Teagan couldn't help but feel relief that she wouldn't have to return to the kitchens. She seemed so happy. Maybe the happiness was for her friend, which he was sure that some of it was, but he also noticed the glow that she had when Tess required that Cal save her from the kitchens. Clara had to have been happy to never return to that wretched place again, and Teagan was glad for it.

Tess was mesmerized by his gaze. After a few seconds of utter disorientation, she pulled herself together and managed a smile. He had accepted her terms. Of course she would marry him. Her face lit up at his teasing and his happiness. She was just happy that he was happy. "Of course I'll marry you, Prince Cal, I can't stand the thought of you being away," she said a childish smile on her face and an excited glint in her eye. As Teagan spoke, her mind drifted away to what he had said. I would rather give up the whole kingdom before I had to give up you. Could it be possible that he truly meant that? After all, they had just met today....A small contented sigh slipped from Tess's lips. He certainly did know how to make a woman swoon. Tess's mind drifted to her own words. She really had grown fond of Cal, and really couldn't stand the thought of him marrying one of the awful Silvers that competed in the Queenstrial. Tess felt a flash of jealousy at the thought of the other girls before pushing it aside. She was marrying the prince, not anyone else. He would be hers and she would be his. They would get to know each other better and Tess couldn't help but feel that this would only make her fall more in love with him.

ooc: Sounds great! I like that idea a lot! Hey, one more question, what kinds of things do they wear? Is this like, corset and ball gown era like the 1700's?

Tess: Tess huffed as another stylist thrust her hand into her hair and pulled. "OUCH!" she yelled as she swatted the woman's hand away. "This isn't necessary and I demand that you all leave," Tess stated defiantly. She crossed her arms over her chest. She was half clothed and her hair was only half done in curls. "OUT!" she yelled when the five women who had been pulling her left and right all morning only stared at her dumbly. Quickly, they moved to the door and slipped out silently. Tess heaved a great sigh as she looked at herself in the mirror. She slipped on the aqua blue dress that the maids had laid out for her. The color matched her eyes perfectly and complemented her skin tone. Tess smiled at herself in the mirror and sat down on a small bench as she tried to fix her hair. She pulled the ringlets down that had been pinned too tightly to her head and let them fall. She liked her hair down anyways. As she fixed her makeup, Tess wondered what Clara was up to. She vowed that when she was finished getting ready, she would see how her friend was doing down the hall. Tess was happy that Prince Cal had agreed to her request. But then again, she didn't think that he would have said no. Not after proposing to her. The thought of the Prince brought goosebumps to her flesh and her face flushed a deep red. Tess sighed. She would have to try to keep her emotions in check when around him but it would be difficult. Prince Cal seemed to make her nervous. IN a good way anyways.

Teagan: Teagan knocked on Cal's door before he slipped inside. "Look at me," he stated as he motioned down at his attire, "Look what you've done. You just HAD to get engaged and make me wear such formal clothes," he teased trying to brush away an nervousness that Cal might be feeling. He plopped down in a chair across from Cal and brushed a hand over his eyes with a sigh. "Oh my....It's been a long day already and it's not even over yet," he stated. Looking out the window, Teagan lost himself in his thoughts about the ball. Clara would be there. He hadn't seen her in a few days and he was looking forward to it. He knew he was excited. Teagan couldn't wait to see her and he was a little bit nervous himself. That's why he had come to see Cal. His friend always knew how to keep him calm. It was why they went so well together.

Tess was so frustrated and nervous and scared about the whole situation that on the way to Gavin's house she curled up and cried. Holding her cracked and broken ribs, she sobbed into his shirt, soaking it all the way through with her tears. She was lucky that Gavin carried her to the house. She was so exhausted that she wouldn't have been able to make it by herself. As she curled up on the couch like a small child, she stared at the wall. She didn't know what to say to Gavin or Gavin's mother, or anyone for that matter. She didn't know what she was going to do. More than likely her father wouldn't let her come home ever again and she didn't know where she was going to stay or anything. After stressing and crying for another hour in the silence, she passed out from exhaustion, her head in Gavin's lap.

ooc: sorry it's been so long. I've been super duper busy! How's the friend doing?

"I just found it. Outside of the commons. I wondered what it was because it looked so unusual," Four stated casually as his mind whirled. Maybe Tris was right. Maybe Eric couldn't be trusted. "I need to go," Four said quickly as he took the pill from the doctor before he could protest. "Thank you, Foradori!" he yelled on his way out.

Four walked aimlessly through the Dauntless compounds just contemplating what he ought to do. Obviously something was going on. He headed towards the fear room to clear his mind. On his way, he ran into Peter. "Hi, Peter," He stated flatly, "Where are you headed?" He asked with raise eyebrows.

ooc: I'm so very sorry for the inactivity! I've been terribly busy with school and I finally caught up with everything.

ic: Jace was slightly bothered by the protectiveness in Jacqui's voice but brushed it away. He carefully handed her a bottle of the cold water and then downed the one he had gotten for himself. The cold burned, but Jace ignored it and grabbed another before returning to his seat on the couch. He glanced over at Teagan and noticed that his friend was falling asleep slightly. Jace chuckled quietly and settled back on the couch, resting his head on the back cushion. With a slight sigh, he closed his eyes and found himself losing to sleep a little. He was content. Nothing could mess this day up. He had Jacqui back in more ways than he had even hoped for, and he was elated.

"You wouldn't be trying to hurt her, you'd be getting at Jace. He's the one we want in all of this anyways," Alyssa stated defiantly. "You can't tell me that you like him."
