    If anyone were to hear about Hiraeth's past, well, they'd probably be pretty irritated to hear how she was spending her time. The peryton wasn't doing anything useful, and had in fact spent quite a long while simply moping, staring at the clouds and then the stars as they cycled through time. It was a wonderful existence, letting the world waste away slowly before her, watching seasons roll by as if in mere seconds, marveling at the beauty of the world, but that state of mind was no longer. The least she could do was get up and put herself to use before she wilted in the same manner as the leaves she had once so longingly stared through.


    Approaching Skyclan's border, Hira waited, the plumes that extended from her feathered lower half swishing around anxiously. They weren't opening and closing, as they should have been, but were simply making a very soft, near-inaudible wooshing sound like a breeze through underbrush. Her hooves pawed delicately at the ground, leaving slight indentations where they had touched, and her wings were shaking occasionally, but apart from this ambiance that she was creating, no sound came from her. Deep down, she wished she could call out, but at least she was gifted with patience to rival being cursed with muteness. She could put that patience to use for a little longer.

    Hiraeth was there next, large doe eyes focused on Malkyn at first, before flitting nervously to Mr. Agowilt. She opted to stay as far from him as possible without coming off as rude, but he was scary, and she didn't like scary things. Everyone here seemed off, not to be trusted, but she was polite, so she would introduce herself.


    "My name is, uh-" A shudder wracked the anxious peryton's body as she tried to continue with projecting her thoughts to anyone in range. "My name is Hiraeth, but people call me Hira."

    Hiraeth approached next, settling herself somewhere behind Macarona and staring at Corus with gentle curiosity. Was that...armor? She wasn't sure she'd seen anyone wearing anything of the like before, but then again, she had spent most of her life staring at the sky, so it was understandable. "I'm Hiraeth." The peryton projected, allowing her words to slip into the minds of everyone in the vicinity, so it wouldn't seem weird if the joiner replied to something that had gone unheard.

    Hiraeth looked over at the similarly winged creature and her mouth, formerly in a relaxed line, morphed into a small but happy smile. She wasn't alone- maybe there were other people here who loved the sky as much as she did, and missed it as much as she did. It really was a shame that she couldn't voice that, or convey it in any way, for that manner.


    "I'm Hiraeth Praelium, I came to join, maybe, if that's possible.." As she projected her thoughts to Cairo, allowing them to slip into his mind, they trailed off nervously, not knowing what exactly to do. How did she say that? What if they weren't accepting joiners? If they weren't, well, she'd probably go let herself waste away stargazing again, to be honest.

    Hiraeth bounded over, long legs assisting her in navigating the snow as quickly as possible. Her feet left imprints in the surface, and a crunching noise accompanied her every time one of them landed. Upon seeing Cairo and then connecting the dots as to what probably happened, a soft, child-like giggle escaped her lips. As funny as it was, though, it looked like the angel needed assistance. "Where does it hurt? Is anything else broken?" She inquired, voice gentle as it always was when she projected it. Silently, she hoped he was okay, and it didn't seem like he was in peril, but still, she didn't enjoy pain. The laugh had only been elicited at the clumsy slip-up of her clanmate.
