We should probably have them get captured once they reach the border. Maybe there could be a a group of soldiers waiting for them there? I also really like this plot, as it has the ability to be as long as we want it to be!
IC: Lukas nodded as she talked about their recent flight. He was relieved to know that she had little problem carrying him while flying, and glad he hadn't hurt her or anything of the like. Lukas watched her with an amused expression on his face before gratefully accepting the small piece of bread, now warmed, thanks to her fire. He stuffed it in his mouth, if only to buy time in order to form an answer to Eliza's question. Reluctantly, the young man swallowed and then, unnecessarily, cleared his throat. "Well, I haven't ever been out of the kingdom before, so I'm hoping that whatever waits outside will lead me to a safer place." He paused and quickly glanced up at her. To his dismay, Lukas couldn't quite read her expression, but he could tell something similar to doubt laced her features. Having nothing else to lose, The young man continued. "That's probably my number one priority." He declared. "I just want to find a village with people like us. Where people with our powers aren't put to death." Lukas finished. Just then, something crossed his mind that he hadn't put much thought into, aside from right now. Would she want to come with me?
Lukas rose from his spot on the forest floor. With a quick glance at the sky, he could tell they had a few hours left before it was dark. After slinging his bags over his broad shoulders, Lukas extended his hand out of Eliza. "Care to run some more?" he asked with a smirk that so commonly played on his lips. As the two prepared for their next run, Lukas couldn't help but think that if she decided to leave him, life outside of the Kingdom would become much more unbearable than he'd originally thought.[/fancypost]
