there is a summary at the bottom
Go row the boat to safer grounds
But don't you know we're stronger now
It had been hell but she made it back. Back to what? To somewhere that was haunting her from the past that she had tried so hard to run from? It wasn't home if it caused endless nights of whispering troubles and then long days of hallucinations. But it was better than what she had been going through. Better.
My heart still beats and my skin still feels
My lungs still breathe, my mind still fears
The spotted silky caramel brown fur that was her pelt was now nothing but a thick layer of dried crimson, no longer a dripping liquid but instead a crust of scarlet red, her real color barely visible. The maroon red figure slipped silently through the roaring summer sun's blazing warmth, the unsheathed claws softly clicked over a thin slab of rock as the savannah walked over it before pushing deeper through the green living forest, allowing herself to be swallowed up by the thick vegetation. Once she stepped in, the wild female barely looked up, her dull empty gaze trained in front of her. She heard the small creatures chatter and chirp around her, unafraid at her ghostly presence for they knew she could barely even keep herself breathing. So they chuckled softly, amused. But San didn't listen, her ears were so clogged with someone's blood that all she heard was her own faint breathing. Let them laugh. It didn't matter, she had already spilled enough blood and organs as it is. More than what she carried. The slim girl wrinkled her nose as she licked her lips, realizing that there was still blood there as well. It was as if she had been doused it in, showered in it as it was some sort of satisfying prize for her making it all the way back on her own. Although, she did remember feeling the sickly satisfaction of seeing the light of life fade from the blue optics of one of the bandits that had decided to get in her way.
But we're running out of time
Oh, all the echoes in my mind cry
All she remembered was opening her forest filled eyes, filled with the rage of remembering the large female that had manipulated her exhausted mind into sleep, San remembered attempting to keep herself awake and to confront her but she had pushed herself too hard and it ended up becoming herself to blame. She had been carried and taken to an unfamiliar place. San's first instinct was to scream, to scream out with all the pent up fury inside her, screaming a demand to know where she was. But all she got was suffocating air and faint crashes of the ocean near where she was. San had kept screaming, yowling and screeching in any way possible, her mind becoming a whirlwind. She was not going to be caged in for the rest of her life, she was not going back to what she had been before Moro had saved her. San, San, save us! San! Don't let them kill us! The thick voices inside her head also screamed, her parents giving out their last begging goodbyes to what she was now and had been back then. Helpless. She remembered pressing her small paws against the side, her voice now turning against her as well as she screamed to herself to stop as she screwed her eyes shut. How could she do anything if she couldn't even defend herself? Her parents? Her mother? Her brothers? Hot burning tears began to form in her closed eyes, her throat closing up on her and she found it once again harder to breathe. Her lower lip trembled and she crawled to the corner of the unknown cave, curling her striped tail around her and sobbing softly, soft whispers of apology falling out of the edge of her lips and splattering on the ground along with her tears. She was so sorry.
There's blood on your lies
The sky's open wide
The next following day, all she did was lay still, staring at the ground, just an empty shell of a body. Her eyes were bloodshot and half-closed, her optics barely flickering around as she listened silently at what the outside world was doing. Laughing, arguing, singing, snarling. San just listened, her soul shivering and trembling with amusement. How odd it ws that she always hid her emotions. Avoided facing them yet there were endless of living breathing forms that poured their emotions with ease. Her previous crying had caused her to vomit, not used to the overhelming grip that clutched her heart. She shifted around ever so slightly, trying to move but the numb feeling had poisoned her. San refused to think it was some sort of depression or sadness but it felt like a dark slow storm was silently rolling arond her. All she saw was that. She had lied about being fine, that she was okay where she was now. Was Fate now punishing her for her lies? To cause her to feel nothing but a body? It hurt. But still, San refused to show it. Her masked expression only one of stoic marble.
There is nowhere for you to hide
The hunter's moon is shining
Later that day, when the sun grew tired of giving its constant warmth and drew itself down to slumber, the pale figure of a moon lazily appeared into the sight, laying beside the twinkling glowing forms of the stars. San would have enjoyed stargazing that day but the moon glared down at her, making her remember she was escaping. Slipping through the darkness and using her teleportation (even though it exhausted her little by little), she had managed to crawl out of the shadows of their camp and back to the open territory. Without not even looking back once, the guardian sprinted off, her soft paws hardly making a noise as the hybrid switched her teleportation back on, her body disappearing and appearing under the moon and the stars. For a long time, the heart of San drummed with relief as the cool breeze brushed her cheeks and her streamlined figure, the tiredness that had locked its jaws around her neck no longer suffocating her. Instead they sunk, making her feel everything she dreamed. Thrill and wonder, just what she had dreamed of as a child. Yet in the vast land between Bloodclan and Windclan laid monsters the moonlight did not wish to show.
Trick or treat, what would it be?
I walk alone, I'm everything
Her sides heaved and sceamed for air and a break but she kept running under the stars, her optics glowing with energy that refused to be stopped by physical limitations. Yet upon as she grew closer towards her destination, her nose was attacked with a sudden stench. It caused San to go to a slower pace, dust floating around her that her paws had kicked up as she glanced around, trying to calm down her quick breathing. She remembered smelling the revolting stench when she had gone through the area to join Windclan. She remembered seeing wild eyes reflecting back at her but with drops of poison floating inside their sockets. San had managed to easily quickly the first time. The second time, it appeared to not be so simple. In the darkness, she noticed darker ink black figures stalk around her, keeping their distances and remaining silent. Rouges. Bandits. Loners. Creatures that preyed others for fun if they wished. Her gaze flickered around, clenching her teeth and unsheathing her long razor sharp claws, preparing herself for a fight. A thundering growl rumbled in her throat as the savannah began to grow impatient and snarled "Come on!" As if triggered like a bullet, one creature launched itself towards her. It was a lanky coyote, its fangs glinting in the moon's white glow as it aimed to pin her down. San didn't back down or duck, instead she jumped towards him as well, her body slamming into his and rolling around, their bodies curling around in desperation for dominance. More began to come out of the darkness as the coyote's body suddenly let out a yelp and there was a cracking noise before it slumped and fell to the ground. San heaved herself to her paws, her jaws dripping with blood as she glared towards the others, her left peridot green eye twitching. "I don't have all night." The rest attacked her. It sadly did take up her night.
My ears can hear and my mouth can speak
My spirit talks, I know my soul believes
Drawing back from the squirting blood that splattered her face and causing her to squint her eyes, San dropped the body of the last rouge that had decided to fight her. She watched her squirm and writhe, gasping for the breath of life but it refused to join her lungs. Blinking her tired gaze, the female savannah walked away, her fur now brought down by gallons of blood as they dripped from the tips of her pelt. She heard the dying calico choke out a feeble faint cry but San let out a small snort, amused by being able to hear the pleas. The wolf girl glanced over her shoulder casually, her velvety ears twitching before San murmured "I'm sorry." She could never help. With that, she began to walk off and away from the pile of corpses that lay around the area. Her body was now screaming for her to stop, every nerve in her muscles twitching to force her to take a break but San simply limped slowly towards the direction once again with the eye of dawn slowly rising to greet her spot. Morning. If she kept going at this pace, she would be able to make it there around midday. Great...when it's the hottest time of the day she thought bitterly but dragged herself there nonetheless. She had to keep going.
A gift, A curse
They track and hurt
Say can you dream
In nightmares seems
After long brutal hours, the form of the blood covered female stepped out of the forest area she had entered, blinking rapidly due to the sudden slash of bright sunlight that impacted her eyes before they focused and she looked down from the hill she was in, glaring down at the village that the rest of her clanmates were. San could even say her friends. But the mind of hers was in a dark moment, hesitant and still filled with the purging hunger to kill. Yet San knew she could never be able to kill innocents, not in the way she had done last night. They had attacked and San had fought back. But the guilt weighed her slim shoulders down, her body no longer tense or stiff as it usually was. Sucking in a small breath, she slipped towards the camp in the ocean of the long blades of grass and preparing herself from perhaps the horror of her clanmates finding San covered in the blood of hers and of many others. Hopefully they wouldn't become terrified of her, San already felt like a monster but there was no expression on her facial features except exhaustion and tiredness. She winced, feeling the slash on her shoulder opening up once again and now a trickle of fresh blood rolled down the dried blood that covered her. Deer God, she was disgusting.
A million voices, silent screams
Where hope is left so incomplete
Once she took a hesitant step into the camp, San realized it was a mistake for not cleaning herself before entering or trying to take a bath in the salt lake or the gold river. Already npc members snapped their gaze on her and all of them widened, the shock of what her appearance was. She heard gasps and small yelps of surprise as the guardian walked through the camp, her long tail dragging on the floor and leaving a paintbrush stroke of dried blood like it was just a piece of red chalk. Yet, San simply flattened her already muffled ears against her skull and bowed her head. People who knew San understood that she despised attention, she despised being looked at but now, surprised eyes burned her body as she limped towards her cabin as if she had just returned from a normal hunting trip. The savannah hybrid's gaze wavered ever so slightly, wanting to cry but she restrained herself, not wanting to bring any more eyes on her. As the slim apprentice finally reached her small cabin, Sanctifiedpaw attempted to climb the stairs but her motions were slow and her legs trembled. She didn't want to be seen like this. She knew that they were murmuring behind her back and a small choked soft noise escaped her throat. I'm sorry
san had escaped bloodclan but during her traveling, she was forced to fight a group of rouges and is now covered in blood & just entered the camp and is trying to just get into her cabin because she's embarrassed and tired. her injuries are just a long gash on her shoulder & a twisted front paw along with a few small cuts here and there on her left side but are covered in dried blood !!
