His mother knew he would someday leave, of course, but not so soon and not for the place she always warned him about.

One of the things she had always tried to make sure Elmer knew was that the world was a dangerous place. She taught him the signs of danger and how to escape it, and spoke many times that the most dangerous place of all was the Exiles. He heard all of the horror stories, and that only intrigued him.

So one night, he snuck off, walking in hopes of finding the Clan he'd heard such terrible things about. By the time he did stumble across the border, he was starving, his little white paws hurt, and he couldn't take another step. He was so tired, he didn't even realize he had reached the border of the Clan he had been looking for, and collapsed halfway across it. Barely conscious, his breaths were shallow. I'm sorry, Mama. I should have stayed with you. Elmer thought sadly, closing his yellow-green eyes.

[justify][font=Nyala][size=11pt]Alright, so here's some info on Elmer: He ran away from home because he wanted to learn more about what kind of people would inhabit a place like this and understand the motivations for the people that do what they do. He is very curious and energetic as well as friendly and upbeat. Elmer also can be pretty relentless when it comes to finding out more about people, which will be his main goal in private threads. Other relationships will also be able to develop.

One more thing to note, Elmer is a temporary character, I'll only keep him for a few weeks before ending him tragically. If you wanna plot involving that, I am 100% in.

He said, not getting the pronunciation of "paws" right, but managing to speak nonetheless. He needed water and food and rest more than anything else, though. His paws hurt, but they were just sore from all of the walking.

He was bored, looking for someone to talk to, but no one had sparked his interest more than they usually did. And this was Elmer - his interest was always sparked. The problem was figuring out who was the most interesting. That the kit didn't know.
