then, a thick smoke began to billow out from its neck, hiding the creature and anything near it in a deep gray fog. barking angrily alex tried to scent the creature, it had wrenched away while she was stunned. she couldn't hear its footsteps; the heavy thumps were absent. instead, she heard light and fast ones. she began to pursuit the new target, bursting from the fog and pinning the smaller creature down, staring at it through hollow sockets. they were a small creature, their skin so pale it rivaled hers, and pale blue scales covered the majority of their body. a long, tapered tail sprouted from the base of their back, which flicked occasionally. just like the creature before, they had a large eye in the center of their forehead, the same color too. in fact, they looked exactly like the creature. they even had a wound on their neck which oozed with the same color blood.
they gave her a fearful look; they probably thought she was going to kill them for all that they did to her. in all honesty, she really really wanted to. suddenly, alex barked again and lifted the mystery creature in her jaws, her fangs piercing their softer hide. she wasn't applying enough pressure to break them, but the pressure was still there. she looked off at ember, her look saying, "do I kill them, or...?"[/fancypost]
