Max smiled, "let's play Mario Kart then." Max loved Mario Kart, the game was a lot of fun and although he typically lost, it was still fun. Max popped the game into the console and handed Lynx a controller. "Do you need a trial run to get used to the controls and/or change them around at all?" Max offered, he had the controls set to the default because he worked best with those, but Lynx of course may want a trail run.

Barry paused before shaking his head. "Even if we've got a bit of time it won't be easy. Especially not in a crowded street, different types of terrain and on the moutains." Barry shrugged, "you've always been better at calculating things, it's up to you, if you thinks it's worth it we can try and find it, but I think we should just go as we are. The farther we get the safer we are, we can last on our supplies for a little while and then after we're just going to have to survive on our abilities, right?" Barry finished.
He headed over to the window, the chaos was growing and the people who's mind had gone to the power plant were spreading the word. "We've got to get going soon f we want to try and get out of here before the streets get to crowded." Barry commented.
((Ah I'm distracted by my anime. Sorry if this turns out kind of crappy!))

Magnus shook his head. "No. You will die, that is inevitable. All living things will die, and as invested as I am in the you shadowhunters' lives I might die first." Magnus said softly, his grip on Alec tightening slightly. "But I won't forget you. I don't forget any of them. But, you especially I won't forget. I won't forget my Alexander. I won't forget you, because out of all the people I've been with, you're the only one who's made me feel this way." Magnus said, and everything he said was true. He loved Alec and Alec was his first shadowhunter, and really, his first for many things.
-
Magnus nodded, he had a feeling he knew who said the words but he kept his mouth shut. "I promise you, you won't loose me. Not until years after you've made peace with the fact that I'm immortal." Magnus said softly. He wondered what other doubts Alec was feeling. Any other worries or betrayals or anything that the shadowhunter was keeping hidden. But Magnus didn't want to push, the relationship was still new and he wasn't certain about what he could and couldn't do just yet. Pushing Alec to talk about his feelings and inner thoughts seemed like soemthing even Izzy and Jace didn't do, and Magnus didn't want to force the boy to talk if he didn't want to. So he kept quiet, deciding just to be a comforting presence:

Barry grinned. "Yes, actually! That I kept up with even outside of camp, it was one of the few things I was better at. My bow and arrows are at my place though..." Barry trailed off, "unless you've got some we're either going to have to head in a seperate direction to grab my stuff, or buy some from whatever idiot is still around and selling weapons." Barry said, a ton of things were going through his head, if they couldn't do either of that Barry would have to make his own makeshift now and arrow. Which wouldn't be that difficult, Barey had had to do it once for camp, the only problem was that it wasn't nearly as powerful as professionally made ones.
Barry sighed, this was all so crazy. This was an event you'd find in a book, like the moon being knocked closer to the earth and throwing everything off, this wasn't normal. This shouldn't be happening. So why was it happening? It could be a dream, or a figment of his imagination, but he knew better. Barry was a natural lucid dreamer, he'd know when he was dreaming and he certainly wasn't dreaming. Plus, this was all in color, Barry had only dreamt once in his life in color, so this had to be real. It just had to be.
((Enjoy your paper. Out of curiosity what's it on?))

Magnus nodded, "I figured that'd be a part of the problem." He paused before answering, "it's a log story. But the short version is that I've had a couple of run-ins with the circle, most of them weren't bad, but there was one..." Magnus trails off and shuddered. "There was something with a werewolf family, nobody really knew the truth, and your parents were truly agreeing with what Valentine was doing by that point, but they didn't seem to have a choice. One of the kids came to, said that their sibling had been taken, or hadn't been fast enough I can't remeber." Magnus shook his head. "It was not a good experience and I kind of made an enemy out of the Circle because of that one encounter. That's one of the few times I met your parents, they didn't fight me though, I don't think they agreed with what Valentine was doing, not to an innocent little kid." Magnus shook his head again. "I don't want you to dislike your parents anymore than you already do, but..." Magnus sighed, "that wasn't something I wanted to hide."
(bravo me for managing to keep the story somewhat canon. XD)
-
Magnus leaned into the touch, his eyes closing slightly. "I know, but I can't tell you everything. I'm used to having to hide things." Magnus admitted, knowing he might just be adding a fuel to Alec worries but he had to be honest, didn't he? "I'll be more open, though. I'll definitely try to be at least. But old habits die hard." Magnus muttered shaking his head once, he moved his hand up to place it over Alec's, his own hands were only slightly larger. "Do you feel any better now that you know?" Magnus asked.
-
Magnus nodded. Communication and always been missing in his relationships, maybe that was why they always failed. Well, with the exception of Camille, that royal screw up was all on her. "Good. They'll come around. They're going to have to, it's not like they can avoid you all their life. You, Clary, Jace, Izzy, and even the vampire—what's his name Saphael?—are quite the trouble makers." Magnus smiled as he said it though, they caused problems sure. But it was for the sake of downworlders, for the sake of their friends so he couldn't get mad.
-
Magnus smiled at that. "Well that is obviously true." Magnus commented, he loved it when Alec smiled or laughed. Loved the way the smile would seem to light everything up, the way he could tell if the boy was smiling because he'd feel it against his skin. The way he could feel the laughter before he heard it was nice too, Magnus was so in love with this boy it was almost scary. He'd never felt this story my about a person, never had to be so careful because it was their first relationship, because it'd started out as an experiment, but he didn't mind. It was new and it gave him the chance to show Alec so many things, make them the best things, letting them be the things he'd remeber in the future. Magnus was worried about messing it up, sure, but he was so in love with the boy that if he messed something up he'd be ruining it for both of them.
-
Max noticed though and smiled, it was cute. "Not a lot of people own an Xbox so don't worry if you don't know how to use the controller yet. That's what the trial run is for. Plus you're player two, so other than pausing a game I don't think you can do much other than play." Max admitted, he navigated the opening screen easily enough. But it'd been a while since he'd used his xbox, he'd been in vaction practically all summer so it wasn't like he'd really had the chance.
-
Magnus smiled. "Adorable. Adorable is the one word that will fit for you no matter the age, isn't it?" Magnus murmered softly, his grip tightening slightly on Alec before he shut his eyes. He wouldn't be able to fall asleep easily but he could at least rest his eyes... Right?
((Rushed cause it's nearly midnight. But what should we have happen now?))
-
((Oh yeah that works. Should we time skip then?))
-
((Ok. Can you begin?))
-
Magnus glanced over at the shadowhunter. He'd been quiet, so something must be in his mind. "Penny for your thoughts?" Magnus asked, stifling a yawn as he did. He'd woken up really early because of one thing or another so he was a bit tired but overall fine. Magnus wondered what Alec was thinking about or worrying about. He hoped it wasn't about his immortality, that was a difficult subject to talk about.
((Are we gonna stay canon to the book? Like there's a break up and shit or nah and Magnus actually gets rid of his immortality.))
-
Magnus sighed. "It's not nothing but if you don't wanna talk that's fine." Magnus shrugged, he was tired and as much as he wanted to know what was wrong he didn't feel like pushing Alec into telling him.
(Suoer rushed sorry. What should we have happen that causes Magnus to almost break up tho.))
-
((Ok.))
Magnus sighed but his ears perked up at the word immortality. "What about immortality?" Magnus asked quietly, he wasn't sure if Alec was worrying about it or if he was planning something. Magnus was tired though, so he wasn't about to start an argument, he was just curious, and if Alec was worrying maybe, just maybe he'd be able to soothe his worries, at least for a bit.
-
Magnus turned and put his hands over Alec's. "Are you just worrying or is there more to the story?" Magnus asked, lowering himself and moving forward so that even if Alec was looking down, he'd have to look at Magnus. He was worried about what Alec was thinking, normal worries he could deal with, but the thought of Alec planning something about his immortality was a faint worry that made him feel both guilty and nervous.
-
Max smiled at him before finishing up. "Here are the controls, once you wanna try the trial just hit play and we can begin." Max said, he liked Lynx and he was kind of excited to try and play a game. He was just worrid about his parents coming home with unexpected guests.
((Ok! Have fun! Where are you gonna go?))
-
Magnus froze, "what?" Magnus asked softly. He'd been thinking about doing that, sure, but the fact that Alec had been thinking about it and hadn't told him hurt. Magnus turned his face away, he hoped he could keep the hurt and betrayal that he felt from showing in his eyes but he didn't want to risk it. "How long were you thinking about it?"
((Should they Break up or just have a little separation?))
-
((OH I've heard of there. I've never been tho, what's it like? And lol no worries I know what I know from watching people play on YouTube xD))
Max grinned but let out a slight groan when he realzied they were playing in rainbow road. "Wonderful." Max muttered saracastically, he was failing quite badly up until he got a lighting bolt. "YES!" Max nearly screamed but didn't, he'd managed to pass Lynx, which was a win because it seemed that he was even worse than a newbie. "The neighbors won't complain this is nothing new to them." Max admitted when he glanced over at Lynx, the amount of times he'd screamed cause of his video game had been enough that the people nearby stopped calls the police or yelling back down at him.
