So, with that unessential information given, would anyone like to have their character mentor Sagepaw?

I can make them a thread now, if you would like? :^) would you want them to jump into being mentor/apprentice or have Sage come forward and ask?

The lilac tortie point slowly strode closer to the gathering crowd, a grim look on her face. She felt deeply for those that were affected by this loss, but she supposed that the upcoming promotions were somewhat of a symbol of the renaissance of life in the wake of death.

Sagepaw rushed over to the hooting and hollering, internally regretting the choice to run in this blistering heat.
Beside her, floated her guardian angel. Was he really an angel? Who knew, but he was always around and he was from StarClan. "Sweety be careful with strangers."
Sagepaw almost wanted to roll her eyes, but she understood the spirit's concern for her and so she slowed her pace by a few beats.
"Are you okay, ma'am?" The apprentice asked as she finally neared, almost breathless. She panted for a second, then looked up through squinting eyes to see the calico before her. "Do I need to call for a med..." Sagepaw began to trail off once she realized that the cat was not speaking in tongues or screaming in pain, but instead was singing.
    Yeah, definitely senile.
She felt a tingle on her back, so she glanced to her side to see the spirit frowning at her and placing his paw on her back. "Respect those older than you. Does this whole charade of complete and utter disrespect run in your family? I swear to my friends up in StarClan, I've seen this nonsense since your grandmother." The spirit shook his head and looked away.
The apprentice glanced back to the older female, taking a few tentative steps forward to stand by Raspbel.
"Um, ma'am do you need someone to walk you home? Are you lost or something?" She took a discrete sniff, "You don't smell of RiverClan, so you must be lost. You poor thing, you're probably dehydrated and starved. Oh! And the heat, that's gotta do with part of it."

[align=center][fancypost bgcolor=; border: none; width: 400px; max-height: 250px; font-size: 12px; line-height: 14px; text-align: justify; font-family: verdana; word-spacing: 3px; overflow: auto;]She felt her pelt prickle at the sight of the stranger, telling her that her guardian angel/spirit/whatever the hell he was was in distress. Sagepaw held in a sigh and looked out of the corner of her eye to the ghost. He was worrying his bottom lip with his teeth, a funny sight on a dead guy.
"I know her, I think. She used to lead this place, well after my love and I died, but she had a downward spiral, from what I saw, and some deeprooted personal issues. Don't get too close to her, okay sweety?" He murmured, though only Sagepaw could hear him. She gave a curt nod, a knot forming in her stomach.
She didn't think that people should be judged harshly--she always thought everyone deserved a second chance. The apprentice decided to not heed the old dude's warning and go right ahead with chatting with this stranger. She liked conversation, it didn't hurt to talk. And besides, it's not like she was in any sort of physical danger right in the middle of camp.
"Hi, I'm Sagepaw." The girl greeted with a charming smile, taking a seat. From what she was hearing now, this lady seemed pretty nice. She still felt her pelt prickle from the anxiety of her spirit companion.
"I'm not too sure what to ask you... but I'd just like to say that if you led this clan once then that means you're a very wise person, right? So I respect that, you, really."

Sagepaw watched the cat from a short distance, her brow furrowed and eyes squinted.
She looked over to her spirit companion, who was floating on his back with a rather bored expression. "What do you think he's doing? I mean, what's the point?" She asked him in a whisper, only audible to anyone if they were standing on her tail.
The spirit looked over at the wendigo, sporting the same expression she had just held on his own face. A sort of... "what the actual fuck?" He shrugged a shoulder and shook his head, going back to lazing about. "Don't be shy, ask him if you're so interested. Maybe he's doing it for attention," he responded, his voice resonating in her mind only.
She bit her lip for a split second, then sighed and stood up from her spot.
"Uhh, sir? Do you need some help or something? You are aware that there is a box on your head, right?"

[align=center][fancypost bgcolor=; border: none; width: 400px; max-height: 250px; font-size: 12px; line-height: 14px; text-align: justify; font-family: verdana; word-spacing: 3px; overflow: auto;]Currently Sagepaw was doing her best to catch this stupid butterfly that refused to cooperate with her frantic attempts at slapping it out of this world. The apprentice was a generally docile creature, but this stupid butterfly was really picking a bone with her.
The girl hopped over a mossy rock, careful not to lose her balance, and ducked under a fallen tree. There was no corporeal force in this world that could stop her from slaughtering this disgusting creature that was a menace towards all living creatures. She leaped over one more rock, letting out a loud grunt when she landed, and went to take off again.
A prickling in her pelt quickly made her stop, her feet skidding to a halt. "Watch out!" She could hear her guardian yowl, making her realize that, wow, yeah, she had almost chased a butterfly off of a cliff.
Sagepaw took in a deep, shaky breath and took a few steps backwards, eyes locked on the depths of the gorge in front of her. there were clawmarks all over the edges of the cliffs, all from animals who had not been as lucky as her with whatever it was they were pursuing. Or being pursued by, she thought grimly.
The lilac tortie point frowned and turned around, travelling into the depths of the forest.
"You know," the spirit began, "one of those clawmarks is mine."
Sagepaw lifted her brow and continued walking, "Really? Wow." That's kind of scary.
He stopped his floating and walked besides her, phasing through branches and rocks all the like. "Yeah, I was clinging on to that edge for a life time. So many people were trying to help me, but I was too weak to hold myself with one paw to grab someone. I eventually had to let go." He closed his eyes and clenched his jaw at the memory.
Sagepaw didn't know what to say, she couldn't even imagine watching someone fall off of that wretched thing. She opened her mouth to apologize to him, but she clamped it shut when he opened his eyes and smiled.
"I learned that I had multiple lives that day, though, so I just woke up a few hours later. Everyone had already left, since there was no way to get down there, and I was stuck with an old, crotchety cannibal who I'm sure would have eaten me if I hadn't gotten out of there quickly."
She perked up her ears, excited to hear another on of his stories, she once again clamped her mouth shut at the sound of a twig snapping. The apprentice snapped her head towards the sound
Is that him? We promised to meet here at around this time, but it could be a deer or something. She wondered, her mentor the "him" in mind. Oh StarClan, she didn't even know how to explain herself if it was him and he caught her talking to herself.
ooc reading through this again it seems a bit like a oneshot or a monologue, so sorry ^^:

Calling medicine cats 'doctors'. Pft. If I had still been alive when it was going through all that mousedung I would have put everything back in shape," Her guardian grumbled in her head, beside her covering his ghostly muzzle with an equally ghostly paw. Though he was only visible to her, he sure did make a show of everything it seemed.
Sagepaw contained an eye roll, opting to smile instead. "Hi, Milkyway. I'm Sagepaw, it's nice to meet you." She sat down and felt her face heat up as she realized she didn't have much else to say. "My mom said I was born here in RiverClan, but she was form WindClan and her parents lived in WindClan for most of her life but was born in RiverClan. Oh and their parents were from RiverClan too... Sorry, that isn't really interesting I guess." She wrinkled her nose and chuckled.

At the sound of Steadfast's voice, the girl sucked in a deep breath, willing the spirit to hush up and leave while she trained. He had proved himself to be useful in countless situations, but at the moment she felt that she would need to focus all of her attention on learning from her mentor.
The corners of her mouth lifted into an amiable grin, her tail raising as she padded over with light steps towards the older tom. "Hi, Steadfast," she greeted.
"What are we going to do today? I was just over by the Gorge, but I think I probably scared everything off while I was, uh, doing stuff. So maybe battle training should be for today?" Her grin widened.
Though she had never even stepped foot into an actual battle, the apprentice had a strong sense of justice and need to protect. She could just imagine herself when she was a warrior--stoic and strong as she defeated her foes with her nimble and calculated moves. The tortie point didn't want to win her battles with brute force, she wanted to earn her victories.
