Julain (Jay) Herring
21 (the age is fine you can keep it that way if you want cx)
Optimistic (for the most part), cunning, funny, recklessJay grinned brightly as he saw the rival ship come closer into his sight. They had been tracking them for days and finally they had found them. All the anxious days Jay had spent in his bunk now seemed worth it. This was his first real battle and he was blood thirsty.
He hated this group with a passion. Jay could never forgive them for what they did to his village. He clenched his fists as they started to come closer. "Anxious are we boy?" The captain laughed as he looked Jay over. Jay turned towards him ,his grin not wavering a bit. He shook his head at Captain Morgan.
"Not anxious. Excited." His eyes twinkled as he unclenched his fists, wrapping his hands around his sword. The crew grinned at Jay. They all seemed so proud of him. Before, he was just a weak and helpless kid they picked off the docks. Now, he was a full fledged pirate.
"Let's get them then!" Captain Morgan roared, raising his sword in the air. The crew roared in reply, raising their swords as well. Cannon ball's were shot at the ship, some crew members climbing the ropes and swinging themselves onto the ship. Jay was among them, yelling a war cry.
-
((Okay ^^ I can just jump in right?))
-
"Follow me." Jay smiled once last time at her before leading Violet to the kitchen. He turned on the light in there as well, wincing at the bright lights. "What do you like to eat, miss?" He asked, turning towards her.
-
Jay hadn't cooked in a while so he decided to go with something simple. He pulled out spaghetti, boiling the water before putting the noodles into the pot. He glanced over at her, observing her. "What brings you to this part of town?" He asked. He couldnt help being a little suspicious of her. The teens always came up with new ways to torture him.
-
Jay returned her smile, extending a hand out for her. "It's very nice to meet you Miss Violet. I'm Jay." He shook her hand softly once he got a hold of it. "I haven't had actual company in a very long time so I'm glad to have you here."
-
"P-People just dont like me very much." He said, going back to the stove. He stared at the boiling water, trying not to stare at her.
-
Jay tried his best to keep up with the fighting, his crew members lending him support. He underestimated how good these guys were and he felt sweat start to tickle down his temple. Jay started to feel sick, the pressure finally falling on him. This was a real fight and he could easily get killed. He needed to find a weak target. He looked the crew over, his glance landing on a lost looking scrawny boy. "I-I'm going for him!" He called back to his crew. Someone nodded at him and he went off. There was a yell, trying to make Jay stop but it was too late.
Jay made his way over to Emil, his sword raised. He gave out a yell, taking a strike at him.
-
There was a faint blush on his cheeks. "Y-You dont even know me.H-How could you possibly like me?" He said, flustered. He quickly started to make the sauce for the spaghetti, trying to get rid of his blush.
-
"Aren't you excited, brother?" Daniel said, turning over to his brother Julian. His brother was wearing the fanciest suit he could find. It was a regular black and white suit, embedded with jems and rubies. He was obviously trying to show off to everyone in the room. Daniel, on the other hand, was just wearing a blue suit. He wasn't getting married off, after all. It was his brother Julian. Julian sighed softly. "Can you possibly get anymore annoying? You asked me this a thousand times." He retorted, scanning the room. Daniel brushed away his brother's remark, his eyes landing on Emma. A smile played on his lips as he saw her stunning dress. "I-I'll catch you later, Julian. I'm gonna take to Miss Emma for a little bit." Julian waved him off and Daniel quickly made his way to Emma.
"Emma, it's so good to see!" He greeted, grinning brightly at her.
-
Jay responded in silence. Was she trying to butter him up? He recalled a similar prank, where a young girl had come up to him and pretended to be nice like Violet was. It ended in him being heart broken and friendless. He shivered at the memory, continuing to cook.
-
Jay groaned as he hit the ground, not expecting for Emil to fight back. To him, Emil looked as much as an amateur as he did. This obviously wasnt the case. Jay let out a grunt of frustration, gripping tightly onto his sword again and trying to strike at Emil again. He let out another yell, his anger being fueled by the memory of his home being burned to the ground. He was going to beat them. He was going to make every last one of them bleed.
-
"Spaghetti is done." He murmured, grabbing a plate and putting the food carefully on it. He gave Violet the plate, not finding the courage to look her in the eyes.
-
"Y-You haven't caused me any trouble, that's the issue." He basically blurted out, leaning against the counter. He glanced up at her.
-
Jay yelled out in pain and grimaced. He tried to strike him again but fell to the floor, holding his head with his hands. There was a slight ringing in his ear and his pounding headache didnt make it better. He bit his lip, glancing over at his crew mates. They were no were in sight. They all abandoned ship after the other pirate crew started to shoot cannonballs at them. They left him to fend for himself. Jay cursed, looking up at his attacker. He tried to get up but he couldn't even stand properly from his headache. He let out a cry of frustration, digging his nails into his palm. It was even a minute of fighting and he already lost. He felt like a failure.
-
Jay sighed softly. "There are rumors in the town that a vampire lives here." He started. "They assume that I am a vampire and always pull pranks on me." He felt like a coward for admitting this. "It doesnt feel good when you cant trust anyone anymore."
-
Jay mumbled something at Emil, squirming some as he felt his boot on his back. He knew what was gonna happen next. They would kill him, hang his dead body on their trophy board. Or maybe they would send his chopped off head to Captain Morgan. He winced as he thought of that. He would crushed. Captian Morgan thought of Jay as his own son. How would he recover from that? Jay squirmed some more, trying to get away from Emil. He wasn't going to die like this.

((It looks really good and creepy cx you're other one was kind of hard to read well at least for me but this one i can read fine from))
"T-Thanks for understanding." He smiled softly at her, looking at her. He scratched his neck some. "I-I'm sure it wont take long for me to trust you, Miss Violet. You seem like a nice person."
-
His face brightened some. "Really?" He didnt think that his cooking would be good at all. He hasn't cooked in a very long time so he was glad to see he wasn't rusty.
