Saru almost shook his head at the red. Something bizarre like this happens, and all Misaki was focused on was being out of the hospital? He shouldn't really be surprised. That sounded exactly like something the red would do.

When Misaki hugged him, he threaded his fingers through the skateboarder's hair, forgetting about his new ears and accidentally rubbed his hands over them. They were even softer than Saru had expected.

Kuroh didn't even remember falling asleep. Next thing he knew, it was morning and he was staring at the peaceful face of Isana Yashiro. He had to admit, the boy looked pretty cute. He was in high school, so he couldn't be that much younger than Kuroh.

"Did you hear what they were talking about?" he sighed. "They were thinking about taking you hostage and using you as an advantage against HOMRA. Do you know how bad of a situation that would've put us in?" It was true that if anyone gained ground on Yata, several members of the red clan would go to extreme lengths to get him back. Kamamoto, for one, wouldn't stop until the vanguard was safely back in the bar.

Kuroh swore and jumped out of bed like a lightning bolt. He quickly took the phone from the strain's hands and threw it back down onto the receiver.

"How many times do I have to tell you?" he said, his voice still groggy from sleep. "Don't call anyone from the phone!"

Saruhiko quickly ripped his mask off his face, crushing his lips against Misaki's, unable to wait any longer. He moved them slowly, teasing the other boy. He felt like his face was on fire, though he really didn't care at the moment. He's was too focused on Misaki.

"Of course I am," Mikoto muttered, pulling them closer together. "I'm with you, aren't I?"

For some reason, Kuroh felt the urge to reach out and poke Yashiro's face. He couldn't explain it. The boy just looked so peaceful. He resolved to just watch him until he woke up. After all, he wouldn't want a potential murderer to just up and leave without him noticing, after all.

"You're so reckless," Mikoto growled. "Didn't even give you a chance? You don't need to do everything on your own, Yata. Don't be stupid." The red king felt frustration start to overwhelm him. Why did this damn kid have to be so reckless all the time? Didn't he realize that people worried about him?

Kuroh grumpily made his way over to the kitchen, getting out the necessary tools to make a proper breakfast. He took out a few eggs, making sure to shoot glares in Neko's direction every time he had a chance.

Saruhiko felt Misaki whine with impatience and picked up the pace, pinning the smaller boy up against his door. He pressed up against the red's lips harder, throwing all caution to the wind.

Mikoto felt himself being pulled into Tatara gaze. He couldn't seem to take his eyes off his clan mate. He felt himself lose all common sense, just for a second, as he pressed his lips up against Tatara's.

Yashiro's frightened voice was enough to have Kuroh instinctively reaching for his sword. He had pulled it halfway out of its sheathe before he realized that there was no real threat. He quickly pushed it back in, hoping that the other boy hadn't seen his reaction.

"No faith in you?" Mikoto growled. He noticed out of the corner of his eye that Kusanagi was starting to shoot them panicked glances, but he ignored him. "You're my vanguard, for God's sake! How could you say I have no faith in you? I've relied on you for so many important things before this. How the Hell is sitting back and watching you get beat and stabbed to death not having any faith?" His voice had risen significantly now. This wasn't the first time Mikoto had yelled at someone in HOMRA, but he certainly hadn't done it often. He was known for being calm and collected. It took a lot to make Mikoto lose his cool.

Saru grinned and deepened the kiss, a shiver coursing through his body. Misaki's meowing was beginning to make him feel weird. Misaki just looked so cute with the ears and the tail. He knew that the red would never make these kinds of noises if he could avoid them.

"It's alright," Kuroh said, nervously shoving the sword back to where Yashiro couldn't see it. "Sorry I scared you." He felt his face going a bit red, but he wasn't sure why he was so embarrassed. I mean, it was normal for someone to watch a potential murderer that could kill them at any point during the night.

Mikoto sighed. Shit. Now he'd done it. He hadn't meant to yell at the vanguard, he'd just let his emotions get the best of him, something that he didn't do very often.

"At least let someone walk there with you," he pleaded. If the red hadn't been in the position for a fight before, he sure as Hell wasn't now.

"It's fine," he muttered, not lying in the slightest. "It's kinda cute." Well, to be honest, 'kinda' was sort of an understatement, but Saru wasn't about to tell Misaki that. He kissed the top of the red's head, holding him close.

"It is 7:22 in the morning," Kuroh stated, not missing a beat. Another one of Master Ichigen's lessons were to know the time whenever possible. 'Time is money,' he'd always say. 'Time is one of the most important aspects of life. Even a few seconds could make all the difference.'

It was also supposed to be just a walk... Mikoto didn't voice his concerns out loud. Instead, he simply got up to stand beside Misaki.

"I'll go with you, just in case," he stated. He knew that no matter how much Yata refused the offer, he still would feel better with the company. Mikoto resolved to follow the vanguard, no matter how much he denied the help.
