ah, bnha.. tbh i have it on hold for now,, i've never read or watched any of it, and it might just be because i'm not super thrilled with the whole concept of "heroes" and "villains" in general, and i'm more into stories where all the characters are in that gray area, but i'm also not someone who judges a book by its cover... so i'll probably give it a shot once the anime wraps up, so if i decide i like it, i can just marathon everything!

Oftentimes, she would slip into her daydreams and reveries to fantasize about better times and circumstances, when she and her sister had been a child and everything had been so pleasantly simple, to the degree that it had almost been disgusting. It really ought to come as no surprise to anyone if she were to say that she preferred her memories and delusions to reality; after all, couldn't everyone else say the same? For whatever reason, there wasn't a single creature in existence—neither mortal nor god—that could honestly say that they didn't wish for something more than the lot they'd been given. Asami didn't know if it was because they were all created to be ungrateful little whiners, or if it was because the universe was just that cruel, and life was just one big cosmic joke in which they all were the punchline... However, all that aside, she had quite enjoyed her life up until now, and she would very much continue to enjoy it for as long as she lived. Of course, there had been ups and downs, and she did harbor a few regrets—but that was the natural way of things. If the universe was cruel, if it expected her to break down and fall to her knees and rail at how everything was unfair, then that was too bad—for she intended making the most of her time in existence, and would fully aim to spite any entity that dared to tell her she was wrong in doing so.

Honestly, she couldn't really care less that she and her sister were no longer affiliated with their old establishment; the place and the creatures had been rather dull, and it didn't hurt to mention now that she'd always liked to entertain notions of leaving to explore other places when she'd been younger. Admittedly, she was a tad bit upset with how they had been forced to leave, but it was an insignificant detail in the grander scheme of things, wasn't it?

A dark, seemingly haunted forest had just come into view, when a sharp voice brought her to an abrupt halt—effectively capturing her attention, and holding it long enough for her to turn her head to regard the speaker. She was not dense; the disconcerted look in her sister's gaze was quite evident despite the low light, and in all honesty, she couldn't help but feel the slightest bit exasperated with the other's voiced inquiry (though thankfully, she was just stoic enough to keep any traces of annoyance from marring her youthful, unblemished countenance). "Amaya, there was never a set destination to begin with, and therefore, your question is not valid. But not to worry—I am adventurous, not reckless. I don't plan on leading us off a cliff at all." She didn't need her clairvoyance abilities to be able to tell what sort of thoughts were running through the other's head... such was simply the bond between siblings, she supposed.

seli-nee's trying it out bc of the durarara!! vibes she gets from it,,, i feel like it's all a bit choppy though,, the execution of the plot isn't the best tbh,, definitely not what i would've done,,, i mean they basically tried to fit the entire first volume or smth ridiculous into the first episode, and that sort of thing never goes well and usually comes across as rather sloppy

since i read the light novel, i'm sticking with it for now, just to see where it goes. if things start going downhill though, then i'm just,, gonna drop it, because there are already plenty of other series i'm investing in this fall and next year. :>

It hadn't been nearly as complicated as she had anticipated, but she had felt slightly overwhelmed once she came to realize just how many individuals resided here; so she had opted to isolate herself, just for a little while. And now, feeling comfortable enough to venture out of the room in the temple she shared with her sibling, she makes her way to the gardens just as darkness began to fill the skies, settling back on her haunches beneath the shade of an apple tree to watch the stars bloom against the backdrop of the oncoming dusk. It is fairly quiet, but in a way that isn't oppressive in the slightest — and, she would never say so aloud, but for once, it's nice to be able to view the heavens without Amaya waxing poetic about the beauty of the illusion of permanence their night skies provide... words have only ever served to undermine the grandeur of it all.

With the fragrance of blossoms filling the vicinity, the fawn-hued sable would find herself being lulled into a peaceful state of mind, and the background chatter of others coming and going proves to not be a disturbance at all. She offers brief smiles and waves at the individuals that pass, and they kindly return her gestures — honestly, she was still quite skeptical of the so-called 'facts' Mei-nee had begun spewing when she had informed her of her plans to move here. Perhaps some shadowclanners did possess anticlan tendencies and the like, but she had yet to see anyone commit a crime so vile, that it would be enough to convince her that this place didn't align with her views and preferences. Though easygoing and placid by nature, she was absolutely determined to form connections and establish meaningful relationships with the creatures here, just to prove her sister wrong — not out of spite (she had never acted on such petty reasons, and had no intention of starting now), but simply because she wanted her to open up her mind, just a little more.
