    What a nice place this will be! I said to myself, as I grinned ear to ear. Little did I know what troubles I may face! The American Curl who was pacing near to where the tribe was. Their name was Balsam, and they had the power to shapeshift. They didn't remember which of their bodies was the one they had been born with, and they didn't really care. Balsam was hoping to join the Tribe of Burning Dreams. And I had said to myself, What a lovely name! Maybe a bit odd, but I knew I could deal with that! And then I noticed someone approaching me in the distance? Who could it be?

    As it was my first meeting in the Tribe, I decided to do something fancy. So I shaped myself into a Fox! Not my favorite form, but I seems to be the one most see as nice-looking. I always said to myself, Yes, because nothing screams handsome like a dog who gets mistaken for a big cat! Balsam had indeed, taken on their Fox form. Many admirers(the few that they had), saw it as beautiful, with rich blue eyes, soft fur, and a muscular build. Balsam saw it as a nuisance, and often complained to 'Pepper' about it. My tail would get in my way all the time! It still bothers me to no end! My paws are sensitive, and I could never stop myself from stepping on thorns! /// Don't worry dear, you'll be just fine. And what have a told you about talking in past tense. You should really, really stop. This was when Balsam made the mistake of scolding 'Pepper' out loud. "I know already!" That was when I f*cked up. Oh God, I said to myself. What if they thought I was insulting them?

    Balsam walked around, observing their surrondings. I'd say it was a beautiful day, and I had know that a walk would be the best thing to do. As they stopped to pick up a peice of prey laying on the ground, they heard a squak. I heard a bird. It had to have been...I knew...right in that moment...I was done for....i was good as dead. It mauled me beyond recognition...all that was left was fur... No! No! That never happened! Stop Balsam! You need to stop doing this! Snapping out of it, the Curl bristled his fur, and looked up. Aimimg a swipe at the bird, and grabbed some of its feathers. But it wasn't the terrible beast that Balsam had imagined. It was a fledgling, barely out of its nest. Look what you've done! The poor thing...
    Guilt flooded Balsam. The baby bird plummeted to the ground, and Balsam approached it with fear. Its not even fit to be prey, but in a moon or so's time, it could have been nice and plump for the picking. So I put a paw on its torn wing, and... To Balsam's suprise, the fledgling suddenly grew back its wings. But at a cost, for a large gash appeared in Balsam's shoulder. The bird flew away in fear, not wanting to be caught again. "Skkkkaaaggghaaa??? Wh-haaa??" Balsam did'nt deal well with pain, and it caused injuries to all their transformations. They often let out shrill shreaks, some even sounding like an alien had made the. "Sooom--omeeeonneee pleeee-ssaaeee ehelpp eemmee???"
    (Dont worry, they didnt die. Nor did they see into the furture. Along with talking to 'Pepper' in his mind, they have a habit of imagining the worst, and best, possible outcomes. They are almost always wrong. And if their imagination comes true, they get a horrible feeling, as if they cheated the system. 'Pepper' tries to stop them from doing this, and luckily 'Pepper' was able to stop Balsam in time before he was in a trance. Also i made balsam react exactly as i do when startled. Make demonic animal screams)
